INSTRUCTION MANUAL

ABOUT THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL
These operating instructions are to be considered a component of the device.
Please read the safety instructions and the operating instructions carefully before use.
Keep these instructions for renewed use at a later date. When the device is sold or given to someone else, the instruction manual must be provided to the new owner/user of the product. The device is intended only for indoor use.

GENERAL WARNINGS

  • Risk of electric shock — This device contains electronic components that operate via a power source (power supply and/or batteries). Children should only use the device under adult supervision. Only use the device as described in the manual; otherwise, you run the risk of an electric shock.
  • Choking hazard — Children should only use the device under adult supervision. Keep packaging material, like plastic bags and rubber bands, out of the reach of children, as these materials pose a choking hazard.
  • Risk of chemical burn — Keep batteries out of the reach of children! Make sure you insert the batteries correctly. Leaking battery acid can lead to chemical burns. Avoid contact of battery acid with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. In the event of contact, rinse the affected region immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
  • Risk of fire/explosion — Do not expose the device to high temperatures. Use only the recommended batteries. Do not short-circuit the device or batteries, or throw them into a fire. Excessive heat or improper handling could trigger a short circuit, a fire, or an explosion.
  • Do not disassemble the device. In the event of a defect, please contact your dealer. The dealer will contact the Service Centre and can send the device in to be repaired, if necessary.
  • Use only the recommended batteries. Always replace weak or empty batteries with a new, complete set of batteries at full capacity. Do not use batteries from different brands or with different capacities. The batteries should be removed from the unit if it has not been used for a long time.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

  • We recommend using alkaline batteries. If temperatures regularly fall below 0°C (32°F), we recommend using lithium batteries.
  • Avoid using rechargeable batteries. (Rechargeable batteries cannot maintain correct power requirements.)
  • Insert batteries before first use, matching the polarity in the battery compartment. 3x AAA Batteries are required for the Clock.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

  1. Touch [ ] to switch to display ambient temperature display for 5 seconds. Touch and hold [ ] to set time and the initial weather condition.NOTE: This device shows a weather forecast on basis of the measured values of the last four hours. For the first start, we will suggest adjusting the weather forecast icon based on the local weather forecast service.
  2. Touch [ ] to toggle between time, ALARM1 time, and ALARM2 time display. Touch and hold [ ] to set alarm time and snooze time.
  3. Touch [ ] to turn on the backlight to the brightest. Touch the button again, the screen brightness returns to the brightness set by the knob. While ringing, press [ ] to snooze for set minutes.
  4. While in normal mode, press [ + ] to set ALARM1 and ALARM2 ON or OFF. While in setting mode, Touch [ + ] to increase one unit, touch and hold to increase rapidly.
  5. While in normal mode, touch [ – ] to set display mode, either display time only or display Time/temperature cycle. While in setting mode, touch [ – ] to decrease one unit, touch and hold to decrease rapidly.

Stop alarm (ringing)

| Turn the screen to the brightest.
Touch the button again, the screen brightness returns to the brightness set by the knob. (When the product is powered by adapter)| Turn Alarm1 and Alarm2 on/ off.| Set display mode, either display time only or display Time/ temperature cycle.

GETTING STARTED

INSERT BATTERIES

  1. Remove the battery door from the back.
  2. Insert 3x AAA (LR03)/1.5V batteries. Please ensure the polarities (+/-) of the batteries match upon installation.
  3. Reattach the battery door.

NOTE: Replace batteries when the display is dim.

CLOCK

SET THE CLOCK MANUALLY

  1. Touch and hold [ ] button to enter into time and weather condition settings.
  2. The setting parameter will flash.
  3. Touch the [ + ] button once, the figure will increase by 1 unit. Touch and hold the [ + ] button, the figures will increase rapidly.
  4. Press the [ – ] button once, the figure will decrease by 1 unit. Press and hold the [ – ] button, the figures will decrease rapidly.
  5. Press the [ ] button to confirm the setting and enter to next parameter.
  6. The sequence of settings: 12/24HR → Hours → Minutes → Weather Condition
  7. If there is no action in 15 seconds or if you press the [ ] button, the setting will be saved and you will exit the setting mode.

12HR FORMAT SETTING
When choosing the 12HR format and setting the HOUR:

  1. If the minute position displayed , it means that the hour is A.M.(ante meridiem)
  2. If the minute position is displayed , it means that the hour is P.M.(post meridiem).
    —— hour is A.M. 6
    —— hour is P.M. 2
    °C/°F SETTING
    Press and hold the [ + ] button to switch Celsius (°C)/Fahrenheit (°F).

ALARM

SETTING/ADJUSTING ALARM TIME

  1. Touch [ ] to display the ALARM1 time. Touch again to display ALARM2 time.
  2. Touch and hold [ ] button to enter alarm setting mode.
  3. The setting parameter will flash.
  4. Press [ + ] or [ – ] button to set the desired data.
  5. Press [ ] button to confirm setting and exit.
  6. The sequence of setting: Alarm1 HOUR → Alarm1 MINUTE → Alarm1 snooze time → Alarm2 HOUR → Alarm 2 MINUTE → Alarm2 snooze time
  7. The alarm will sound when the alarm setting is finished and turned on.

TURN ON/OFF ALARM
Touch the [ + ] button to turn on/off the Alarm1 and Alarm2.

OPERATION

  1. At the set time, the alarm signal rings.
  2. During the alarm, touch the [ ] button to delay the alarm by setting minutes.
  3. If you do not touch any button to stop the alarm, it will automatically turn off after 2 minutes.
  4. To stop the alarm, touch any button except for [ ].
  5. The alarm will start again at the next alarm time unless you switch off the alarm function by pressing the [ + ] button until the alarm is set to off.

WEATHER FORECAST

This device shows a weather forecast on basis of the measured values of the last four hours. It has 4 kinds of weather conditions. For the first start, we will suggest adjusting the weather forecast icon based on the local weather forecast service.

TEMPERATURE DISPLAY

Touch the [ ] to switch to display the indoor temperature for 5 seconds.
Touch the [ – ] to set the different display modes:
—— display time only
—— Time/temperature cycle display

SCREEN BRIGHTNESS

When connect with an adaptor, the screen will always light up and the brightness can be adjusted by turning the knob. Touch the [ ] once to set the screen to the brightest.  Touch the button again, the screen brightness returns to the brightness set by the knob. The setting order: Brightest → By knob.

When connecting with batteries, touch any button to light up the screen for 10 seconds. Batteries are automatically disconnected when the product is powered by an adapter.

NOTES ON CLEANING

  • Remove the batteries before cleaning.
  • Only use a dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. To avoid damaging the electronics, do not use any cleaning fluid.
  • Protect the device from dust and moisture.

DISPOSAL
Dispose of the packaging materials properly, according to their types, such as paper or cardboard. Contact your local waste disposal service or environmental authority for information on the proper disposal.

Do not dispose of electronic devices in the household garbage! As per the Directive 2002/96/EC of the European Parliament on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its adaptation into German law, used electronic devices must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
