Product Usage Instructions

  1. Inspect all components for damage and ensure they are in the correct order.
  2. Check sealing gaskets, and reconnect outlet reducer to the flexible hose.
  3. Clean end threads, apply PTFE tape to inlet nipple threads, and connect the inlet nipple to branch line using a pipe wrench.
  4. Connect a flexible hose to the inlet nipple using a pipe wrench within a torque range of 50-58 ft-lbs. Do not use PTFE tape on this connection.
  5. Drill a hole as per sprinkler head manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Align the NFP2403 bracket with the hole, and secure with wedge anchor or screws on both sides.
  7. Open the bracket by pressing the release pin, load the flexible hose, and secure the gate of the centre bracket.
  8. To secure the outlet reducer, push down the lever until it clicks into place.

Installation instructions

  1. Inspect the Specflex sprinkler drop system components for any sign of physical damage. Make sure all components are included and in the proper order.
  2. Disconnect the inlet nipple and outlet reducer from the flexible hose and check that each sealing gasket is in place properly. Reconnect outlet reducer to the flexible hose.
  3. Ensure that both end threads are clean without any damage. Apply PTFE tape to the inlet nipple threads. Use a pipe wrench to connect the inlet nipple to the branch line.
  4. Use a pipe wrench to connect the flexible hose to the inlet nipple. Torque range should be a minimum of 50 to a maximum of 58 ft-lbs. DO NOT use PTFE tape on the inlet nipple thread to connect to the flexible hose
  5. Drill a hole based on the sprinkler head manufacturer’s installation instructions.
  6. Align the NFP2403 bracket along the hole and secure with wedge anchor or screws on both sides until securely retained on the wall or ceiling.
  7. Press the release pin and open the bracket. Load the flexible hose at the appropriate position. Securely fasten the gate of the center bracket from right to left.
  8. To secure the outlet reducer, firmly push down the lever until it clicks.
