USER’S GUIDE

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

READ THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING AND RESERVE IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. REFER TO IT WHEN ENCOUNTERING ANY OPERATING PROBLEM.

  1. WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the clock , do not disassemble it. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
  2. WARNING: To prevent fire or electric shock hazard, do not expose the clock to rain or moisture (including drips or splashes). Objects filled with liquids, such as vases and water bottles, should not be placed on or near the clock. Do not touch the unit with wet hands.
  3. WARNING: Do not expose the unit or its batteries to excessive heat, such as direct sunlight, fire, or other heat sources.
  4. Do not use attachments not provided by the manufacturer, except for devices connected to the AUX-IN jack.
  5. If the unit becomes damaged, do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Refer all servicing to authorized personel.
  6. Do not place objects on top of the clock, or block any ventilation openings.
  7. Unplug the power from the outlet during lightning storms or when the clock is not in use.
  8. Pay attention to the safety purpose of the polarized plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician to replace the obsolete outlet.
  9. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the clock device.
  10. Dispose of this product properly, respecting your local laws for electronics and battery disposal.

GETTING STARTED

BATTERY INSTALLATION (BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED)
This clock uses 3 AAA batteries to back up the time and alarm settings in the case of a power outage. These batteries are not for everyday operation. The clock should stay plugged in when in use.
To install batteries, open the battery cover on the bottom of the clock.
Then, match the “+” and “–” signs with the batteries. Replace the battery cover. If the clock is not used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries before storing it.

SETTING THE TIME

  1. Press TIME SET until the hour blink.

  2. Press (-/+) to adjust the HOUR, hold for rapid setting.

  3. Press TIME SET to confirm the HOUR and set MINUTES.

  4. Press (-/+) to adjust the MINUTES, hold for rapid setting.

  5. Press TIME SET to confirm the MINUTES and set DAY OF WEEK.

  6. Press (-/+) to select DAY OF WEEK.

  7. Press TIME SET once more to confirm and exit.

NOTICE: At this point, time will automatically set if left flashing for more than 10 seconds.
SWITCH TIME FORMAT (12/24 HR TIME)
Press 12/24HR to toggle between 12 and 24-hour modes (the default is the 12-hour time format).
NOTICE: When using the 12-hour time format, the AM/PM icon will appear to suggest morning/afternoon time.

SETTING THE ALARM

To switch the alarm on or off, press the “ ” ON/OFF or “ ” ON/OFF.

SETTING ALARM 1 AND ALARM 2

  • ALARM 1 and ALARM 2 are set in the same way (hold for rapid setting).

  • Press ALARM 1 SET to enter ALARM 1 HOUR setting. Use (- / +) toadjust the hour.

  • Press ALARM 1 SET to confirm and enter MINUTE setting. Use (- / +) to adjust the minute.

  • Press ALARM 1 SET to confirm and exit from Alarm 1 Setting Mode.

  • NOTICE: The default alarm volume is maximum (90dB). Slide the VOLUME knob at the left side of the clock to adjust the volume within the range of 30-90dB.

SLEEP SETTING
Press the SLEEP button to choose the duration (10min, 20min, 30min, 40min, 50min, 60min, 70min, 80min, 90min, 120min, or off) after which the alarm goes off.
ALARM FREQUENCY SETTING
Each of the two alarms has 3 frequency options: MON-SUN (All-7-day), MON-FRI (Weekdays), SAT-SUN (Weekends). Slide the to set the wake-up days in the back.

SNOOZE/TURN OFF DAILY ALARM

  • When the alarm goes off, press SNOOZE to snooze for a while; the alarm will go off again after 5 minutes.
  • To cancel the snooze at any time or to turn off the alarm for the day while it is sounding, press any of the buttons except the SNOOZE button. The alarm will go off again at the same time the next day.

BRIGHTNESS CONTROL
Slide the DIMMER knob at the right side of the clock to adjust the display brightness (HIGH: 100%, LOW: 0%).
BATTERY OPERATED MODE
Insert 3 * AAA batteries (Not Included) into the Battery Compartment.
The screen will show for 8 seconds and then go to sleep to save battery. Press the largest SNOOZE button to check the time within 8 seconds. The screen will stay on when plugged into the outlet.
NOTICE: In Battery Operated Mode, the clock has all functions except for USB charging your electronic devices.
USB CHARGING PORT
Connect a USB charging cable to charge your cellphone or other smart devices.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

CAUTION: Unplug the unit before cleaning!
Replace the back-up batteries every year or so to ensure your alarms still go off if there is a loss of power. Remove the batteries whenever the clock is unplugged or stored somewhere.
A soft cloth or a paper towel may be used to clean your clock. Do not use corrosive cleaners or chemical solutions on the clock. Keep the clock clean and dry to prevent any issues.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM SOLUTION
No power to unit • Connect the power cord to a working outlet.  The clock

does not fully operate on batteries.
Batteries are only for preserving the time and alarm settings in the event of a power outage.
No sound from the
speaker| • Make sure volume is up, and the unit has power.
• Make sure that the correct mode is  selected for the music source you are using.  Use the SOURCE button on the top of the clock to change between AM, FM and AUX.
• If in AUX mode, make sure the sound source is connected securely  and playing audio, with its volume up.

LIMITED WARRANTY (90 DAYS)

Riptunes™ warrants this product against defects in material and workmanship to the original purchaser as specified below provided product is registered online within fourteen (14) days of purchase. If the product is determined to have a manufacturing defect,  within a period of ninety (90) Days from the date of the original purchase, Riptunes™ will repair or replace the product at no charge to you in the U.S.A. After ninety (90) days it will be the responsibility of the consumer.
Shipping costs to and from our warranty service center is the sole responsibility of the consumer.
To obtain warranty service by an authorized Riptunes™ service center, please email us at: support@riptunes.com to obtain a Repair and Maintenance Authorization (RMA) number and to locate the service center nearest you. Once authorized, you must mail the  product, to the authorized Riptunes™ service center in its original product packaging materials or equivalent, to prevent damage while in transit.
Further, should Riptunes™ determine that the product is outside of the Warranty term, Riptunes™ will return the product to sender at sender’s expense without being repaired or replaced, unless authorized by the consumer to service the out of warranty  product at consumer’s expense. All handling or restocking charges for returns and/or replacements shall be nonrefundable.
Riptunes™ specifically excludes from this warranty any non-electric/mechanical attachments, accessories and disposable parts including but not limited to outside case, connecting cables, batteries and AC adaptors. Riptunes™ reserves the right to repair or replace defective products with the same, equivalent or newer models.
We reserve the right to either repair or replace product at our discretion. Replacement may be either new or refurbished and while every endeavor will be made to ensure it is the same model, if same model is not available it will replaced with a model of equal or higher specification.
Normal “Wear and Tear” is not covered by this warranty. Further, Riptunes™ hereby reserves the right to determine “Wear and Tear” on any and all products.
Tampering or opening the product casting or shell, will void this warranty in its entirety.
Also this warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged by accident, abuse, misuse, or misapplication; has been altered or modified without the written permission of Riptunes™; has been serviced by a non-authorized repair center of Riptunes™; has  not been properly maintained or operated according to the operation manual; has been used for commercial, non-household purposes; cosmetically damaged; was not imported by Riptunes™; was not manufactured according to specification of the United States market; improper installation or neglect; damaged due to improper packaging in shipment; damaged due to natural disasters; if the serial number for the product has been removed or defaced; or for cosmetic damages.
ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO ONE (1) YEAR PARTS AND NINETY (90) DAYS LABOR FROM THE DATE OF  THE ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASE OF THIS PRODUCT.
THESE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE AND USE OF THE PRODUCT. NO OTHER WARRANTIES, ORAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED,  ARE GIVEN.
