Product Usage Instructions

Installation of Speakers and Horn

  1. Attach the ring to the horn.
  2. Place the horn onto the speaker bracket and secure it with the two screws.

Radio Operation

Attention:
Do not connect the FM antenna to an external antenna!

Position the antenna until optimal reception is achieved.

  • CD Player
    To repeat the current track, select the REP ONE function.

  • USB/SD
    Instructions for USB/SD usage are not provided in the manual extract.

Phono

  1. Remove the stylus guard from the tonearm.
  2. Gently place the tonearm on the record.
  3. To end the operation, carefully lift and return the tonearm to its holder.

Cassette Operation

Encoding
If “STOP” is displayed for 5 seconds, it indicates the end of encoding. The encoded file is saved as an MP3 in the “RECOD” folder on USB.

CAUTION

INSTALLATION OF SPEAKER AND HORN

  1. Insert the plug of the horn holder into the jack at the back side of the unit.
  2. Place the horn holder on the screws and fix it with the two wing nuts.
  3. Insert the front cover into the horn tube.
  4. Connect the bearing to the horn tube with the front cover, and fix the connection with the two screws.

AC OPERATION

Use only the supplied power adapter!

  • This old-fashioned TURNTABLE AM/FM CASSETTE CD/MP3 PLAYER operates with AC230V~50Hz line power. Ensure that the voltage is the same as that indicated on the AC adapter label.
  • Insert the DC plug of the AC adapter in the AC adapter jack on the back of the unit, and plug the AC adaptor into a wall outlet with an AC power supply.

Automatic standby
As a power-saving feature, the unit will automatically switch to standby mode if you do not press any button within 15 minutes after playback is stopped.

RADIO

CAUTION!
Do not connect the FM wire antenna to any external antenna!

TIPS FOR GOOD RADIO RECEPTION

  1. To ensure maximum FM tuner sensitivity, the FM wire antenna should be fully extended to obtain the best possible reception.
  2. To ensure the best AM sensitivity, try repositioning the unit until the best reception is obtained.

RADIO OPERATION

  1. Press POWER/VOL to switch the unit on.
  2. Turn MODE/REC to select “AM” or “FM” reception.
  3. Turn the TUNNING CONTROL to select the desired radio station.
  4. When you are listening to the stereo program, the colour of the LED indicator changes.
  5. Turn POWER/VOL to obtain the desired sound level.
  6. To turn the radio off, press the POWER/VOL.

CD

CD/MP3 DISC PLAYER

  1. Press “POWER/VOL” to switch on and turn MODE/REC to select CD.
  2. Press the button. The display shows ”OPEN”.
  3. Put the disc into the CD tray, with the label side facing up.
  4. Then press the button again. The CD tray closes automatically. The display shows “LOAD”.
  5. After the disc is read, the display shows the total number of tracks. If the display shows “ ”, it means that the disc cannot be read, or no disc is inserted.
  6. Press the button to start playback from the first track to the last track. The display shows the current playing track number. The playback stops automatically when all the tracks in the disc are played. Then the display shows the total number of tracks again.
  7. During playback, press the button to pause the playback, and press the button again to resume playback.
  8. To stop playback, press the button. The display shows the total number of tracks in the disc.

SKIP FUNCTION
During playback, press the ” or button to select a track.

REPEAT FUNCTION

  • During playback, press once the REPEAT button. The display shows RE ONE and plays the current track repeatedly.
  • During playback, press twice the REPEAT button. The display shows RE DIR and plays the current folder repeatedly (only for MP3-CD).
  • During playback, press the REPEAT button three times. The display show RE and the complete disc will be repeated.
  • During playback, press the REPEAT button four times. The display shows OFF and returns to normal playback.

RANDOM FUNCTION
During Random press RANDOM to shuffle the playback.

PROGRAMMED PLAYBACK (ONLY CD)
Play programmed tracks in the sequence you desire.

  1. Set the unit in stop mode, and press the PROGAM button. The display shows P01.
  2. Press the or button to select the track you like to program, then press the PROG. button to confirm.
  3. Repeat Step 2 to program more tracks in the list. Up to 20 tracks by CD, up to 99 tracks by MP3-CD.
  4. Press the button to start the playback of the programmed tracks.

Note:
To delete the programmed tracks, press the STOP button, and all the programmed tracks are deleted.

USB/SD

  • Connect the storage medium when the device is switched off.
  • Switch the device on with “POWER/VOL” and select USB or CARD with the MODE/REC. The control functions are the same as CD play.
  • The control elements are the same as in CD mode.

BLUETOOTH

  1. Switch on the device with “POWER/VOL” and turn MODE/REC to select BT.
  2. Activate the Bluetooth function on your mobile phone, and search and select ”NR917” from the list.
  3. After Bluetooth is connected successfully, the flashing BT becomes solid. You can enjoy the music from your mobile phone through the speaker of the unit.

PHONO

  1. Switch the device on with “POWER/VOL” and turn MODE/REC to select PHONO.

  2. Put the record on the turntable.
    Note: If you want to play a single record, insert the 45 rpm adaptor in the centre of the turntable and then place the record.

  3. Set the SPEED SELECTOR to 33 ⅓, 45 or 78 RPM according to the size of the record.

  4. Take out the stylus guard of the tone arm, then place the tone arm on the record carefully.

  5. Adjust the VOLUME CONTROL to adjust the desired sound level.

  6. To stop the operation, lift the tone arm carefully and return it to the tone armrest.

CASSETTE

  1. Switch the device on with “POWER/VOL” and turn MODE/REC to select TAPE.
  2. Insert the cassette and the unit starts playback of the cassette.
  3. During playback, to wind fast forward, press the CASSETTE F.FWD/EJECT button half inwards. Then the CASSETTE F.FWD/EJECT button is kept in the middle height position. To return to normal playback, slightly press the CASSETTE F.FWD/EJECT button again. Then the CASSETTE F.FWD/EJECT button resumes to the highest position.
  4. To eject the cassette tape, press the CASSETTE F.FWD/EJECT button completely inwards. Then the CASSETTE F.FWD/EJECT button is kept at the lowest position.

RECORDING

Connect and disconnect the USB drive when the unit is switched off.

  1. Switch the unit on and select the wanted mode or title.
  2. Press “MODE/REC” to start recording, the display will show REC for 2 seconds.
  3. In CD or CARD mode you can select another title by skip buttons.
  4. During record MODE selection is blocked.
  5. Press MODE/REC again to stop the recording, the display is showing STOP for 2 seconds.

The encoded file is saved in the RECORD folder on USB as an MP3 file
