Range of application
This PPE corresponds to the regulation (EU) 2016/425 of the European parliament and of the council on personal protective equipment.
The performed type-examination shows, that the PPE complies with the standards EN 407:2020 (DIN EN 407:2020-06) – Thermal performance for protective gloves against heat and/or fire and EN ISO 21420:2020 (DIN EN ISO 21420:2020-06) – protective gloves – general requirements and test methods.
Marking
Pictographs with performance levels, whereby a higher number stands for a better protective effect:
The marking “X” means, that the potholder was not verified for the respective risk.
Sizes
The sizes meet the respective application purpose.
Important!
Please note the following hints in order to understand the risks in using the
potholders:
The potholders only protect only the hands against short-term contact with
heat. Further body parts are excluded. The potholders may only get in contact
with open flames shortly.
At the same time, the potholders protect against mechanical risks such as wear
and tear.
Inspection
A visual inspection for dirt and damaging is essential.
Only clean the potholders dry with a soft brush.
Dispose of damaged potholders!
Disposal / Ageing
Leather is a natural product. Influencing factors like, for example, moisture, storage temperatures as well as natural material changes during the usage, do not permit a specific expiry date. The expiry date depends further on the degree of wear, the usage and the field of application. Depending on the frequency of usage, the gloves may have a durability of approx. 8 years in case of adequate use.
Care
Repair works at the PPE may only performed by the manufacturer. Always use the original yarn!
Storage
Store the potholders in a well-ventilated room, protected from light and in a
dry place!
