Product Usage Instructions
Fixture Installation
- Using the MOUNTING PLATE (A) as a template, mark the holes for the THREADED ROD (P) on the building structure, following local building codes.
- Slide the crimp type CABLE CLAMP (N) onto the SAFETY CABLE (O). Feed the SAFETY CABLE (O) down through one of the holes in the top of the outlet box. Loop the SAFETY CABLE (O) over the approved support, then feed it back through the top of the box and the CABLE CLAMP (N). Use the crimping tool to tightly crimp the CABLE CLAMP (N) to lock the SAFETY CABLE (O) in position.
- Open the end link on the CHAIN (J) and attach it to the loop on the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (K) (WITH LED). Hang the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (K) (WITH LED) on the CHAIN (J) at your desired height, and remove any excess CHAIN (J).
- Feed the wire through the CHAIN (J), LOOP (I), and CANOPY (H).
- Pull the wire out of the Junction box and attach the MOUNTING PLATE (A) onto the junction box using the MOUNTING SCREWS (B), WASHER (Q), and NUT (R). Ensure that the junction box is securely mounted to the structure of the building and can support a minimum of 90 lbs.
- Attach the Ground wire (Green) to the ground inside the outlet box or the GROUND SCREW (C) on the MOUNTING PLATE (A). Never connect the Ground wire to the Hot wire as it may result in serious injury or death.
- Connect the neutral DRIVER (M) lead to the neutral wire (Generally white) in the outlet box. Fasten the wires together with an approved fastener (WIRE NUT) (D). Starting 1 inch below the fastener, tightly wrap the connection with electrical tape to seal the end of the fastener. Ensure there are no exposed wires or strands that could cause a dangerous short circuit.
- Connect the hot leads of the DRIVER (M) to the hot wire (Generally black) in the junction box. Fasten the joined wires as in the previous step. Never reverse the Hot and Neutral wires as it may result in serious injury or death. Push the electrical wires back into the junction box.
- Lift up the CANOPY (H) to the ceiling and secure it with the HEX NUTS (E), placing the DRIVER (M) into the CANOPY (H).
- Open the top link on the CHAIN (J), and hang the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (K) (WITH LED) onto the LOOP (I) on the CANOPY (H). Hide any excess wires in the CANOPY (H). Attach the male connector from the fixture into the female connector from the DRIVER (M).
- Lift up the PLATE (F), and attach it using the CAP NUTS (G).
- Restore power to the outlet at the breaker or fuse box.
