Battery Installation for Remote Control

NOTE : The battery for the remote control (1 CR205 lithium battery) is included. To replace the battery, push and slide out the battery door in the remote control. Replace the battery with a new CR2025 battery with the polarity” +”facing up. Slide the door

BASIC OPERATION

To Turn the Unit ON
To turn the Soundbar ON, connect the supplied power adapter to the DC IN jack. Then press the [Mode] button on the unit or the button on the remote control.

To Turn the Unit OFF
To turn the Soundbar OFF, press and hold the [Mode] button on the unit or press and hold the button on the remote control.

NOTE : If the unit is not going to be for a long period of time, disconnect the power adapter.

To Set the Time

  1. Make sure the Soundbar is OFF.
  2. Hold the button on the remote control until the hour digit flashes.
  3. Press the  button or on the unit or the button or the button on the remote control to adjust the hour.
  4. Press the button on the remote control to confirm the hour setting and the minute digit will flash.
  5. Press the button or on the unit or the button or the button on the remote control to adjust the minute.
  6. Press the button on the remote control to confirm the minute setting.

RADIO OPERATION

Powering ON

1. Press the [Mode] button on the unit or the on the remote control to turn ON the unit.
2. Press the [Mode] button on the unit or the remote control repeatedly until the FM frequency appears on the display screen.

Storing Radio Stations

1. Press the button on the unit or the button on the remote control to search stations forward or the button on the unit or the button to search stations backward. By PRESSING and HOLDING, you may skip ahead or backward and the station will stop only if a station is found.
2. Press the [FM Scan] button on the remote control and the channel number on the display screen will flash.
3. Press the [M+] button on the remote control to select the station number you want the station you are on to be stored to.
4. Press the [FM Scan] button on the remote control to confirm.

Listening to Preset Radio Stations
Press the [M+] button on the remote control repeatedly to select the desired preset station. 20 preset stations total may be stored.

NOTE : If the FM stations are in stereo mode (can be seen on the display screen above), the unit will play in stereo mode. If reception is weak, press the button on the remote control to turn the unit to mono mode. Press the button again to return to stereo mode.

NOTE : To enhance radio reception ability, fully unwind and extend the FM antenna wire located on the back of the speaker

AUX IN OPERATION

AUX IN
Examples of AUX IN sources are personal audio players and computers

AUX IN Connection:

  1. Connect a 3.5mm auxiliary cord (included) between your audio player and the AUX INl jack of the Sound bar on the front of the unit.
  2. Press the [Mode] button on the unit or the [ ] on the remote control to turn ON the Soundbar.
  3. Press the [Mode] button on the unit or the remote control repeatedly until “AUX1 “appears on the display screen.
  4. Set your personal audio player to play.

NOTE : Before making a connection with the AUX 1 jack or AUX 2 jack in the back, make sure the AUX IN cable is not inserted in the AUX IN 1 jackin the front of the unit. The AUX In 1 in the front will override the AUX 1 and AUX 2 in the back.

AUX IN Playback:

  • Press the button on the remote control to turn the sound OFF. Press again to resume sound.
  • Press the [VOL+] button or the [VOL-] button on the unit or the remote control to adjust the volume level.
  • Press the [Bass+] button or the [Bass-] button on the unit or the remote control to adjust the bass level.
  • Press the [Treble+] button or the [Treble-] button on the unit or the remote control to adjust the treble level.
  • Press the [EQ] button on the remote control to switch the equilibrium between POP/JAZZ/CLASSIC/ROCK/NORMAL

RCA AUX IN OPERATION

Examples of RCA AUX IN sources are television sets, DVD players, and VCR players.

RCA AUX IN Connection:

  1. Connect an RCA cable (included) between your audio source and the AUX 1 jack or the AUX 2jack of the Sound bar on the rear of  the unit.
  2. Press the [Mode] button on the unit or the on the remote control to turn ON the Soundbar.
  3. 3. Press the [Mode] button on the unit or the remote control repeatedly until “AUXl” appears on the display screen (for AUX 1 connection) or”AUX 2″ (for AUX 2 connection) appears on the display screen.

NOTE : Before making a connection with the AUX 1 jack or AUX 2 jack in the back, make sure the AUX IN cable is not inserted in the AUX IN 1 jack in the front of the unit. The AUX In 1 in the front will override the AUX 1 and AUX 2 in the back.

RCA AUX IN Playback:

  • Press the button on the remote control to turn the sound OFF. Press again to resume sound.
  • Press the [VOL+] button or the [VOL-] button on the unit or the remote control to adjust the volume level.
  • Press the [Bass+] button or the [Bass-] button on the unit or the remote control to adjust the bass level.
  • Press the [Treble+] button or the [Treble-] button on the unit or the remote control to adjust the treble level.
  • Press the [EQ] button on the remote control to switch the equilibrium between POP/JAZZ/CLASSIC/ROCK/NORMAL

BLUETOOTH PAIRING & LINKING OPERATION

1. Press the [Mode] button on the unit or the on remote control to turn ON the Soundbar.
2. Press the [Mode] button on the unit or the remote control repeatedly until “Br appears on the display screen.
3. Keep your AR2001 and Bluetooth-enabled devices within 3 feet of each other during the pairing process.
4. Set your mobile phone or other Bluetooth-enabled device to search for Bluetooth devices.

On an iPhone
Goto SETTINGS> GENERAL> BLUETOOTH (Make sure Bluetooth is turned ON)

On a Blackberry

  • Goto SETTINGS/OPTIONS> BLUETOOTH
  • Enable BLUETOOTH

On an Android Phone
Goto SETTINGS> BLUETOOTH >MENU> Search for devices (Make sure Bluetooth is turned ON)

On other Cell Phones/Devices
Review the instruction manual that came with your phone/device.

NOTE :The illustrations above are of many Bluetooth enabled phones today, and are used to explain the pairing process. Your mobile phone’s interface and interaction with the headphones may be slightly different from the illustration above.

BLUETOOTH PLAYBACK

  • Press the button to pause the playing track. Press the button again to resume playing.
  • Press the button on the unit or the button on the remote control to skip forward to the next track or the button on the unit or the U~~l button to skip backward to the previous track.
  • Press the button on the remote control to turn the sound OFF. Press again to resume sound.
  • Press the [VOL+] button or the [VOL-] button on the unit or the remote control to adjust the volume level.
  • Press the [Bass+] button or the [Bass-] button on the unit or the remote control to adjust the bass level.
  • Press the [Treble+] button or the [Treble-] button on the unit or the remote control to adjust the treble level.
  • Press the [EQ] button on the remote control to switch the equilibrium between POP/JAZZ/CLASSIC/ROCK/NORMAL

MOUNTING THE SOUNDBAR

  1. Look at Figure 1 to determine the positions where the screws should be mounted. Make sure the two brackets are mounted in the same level.ART-SOUND -AR2001-Slim -Bluetooth-Soundbar-fig- \(1\)
  2. Insert the fixing plugs into the screw holes and insert the screws to fix the metal bracket onto the wall.
  3. Hang the unit on the wall.

NOTE : The gap between the metal bracket and plastic mounting holder on the rear of the unit is designed for simple mounting, which will make the unit movable.

TROUBLESHOOTING

No sound is coming from the Soundbar.

  • The volume level may be too low. Try increasing the volume by pressing the [VOL+] button on the speaker or the [VOL+] button on the remote control.
  • The connected device might not be in playback mode. Play music from the connected Bluetooth device.
  • The sound output of the connected device is weak. Increase the volume of the connected Bluetooth device.

The volume level for the Soundbar is too high.

  • Try reducing the volume level by pressing the [VOL-] button on the speaker or the [VOL-] button on the remote control.
  • The sound output of the connected device might be too high. Try reducing the volume of the connected Bluetooth device.

The Bluetooth reception is not working.
Make sure no other devices are connected to the Soundbar and try the connection again. If a device was connected to the speaker, unpair it before connecting your new device. Do this using your Bluetooth device’s Bluetooth menu.

NOTE : Use of this unit near fluorescent lighting may cause interference regarding use of the remote. If the unit is displaying erratic behavior, move it away from any fluorescent lighting, as that may be the cause

LIMITED WARRANTY

This product as supplied and distributed new by AIT, Inc. (“AIT”) to the original consumer purchaser is warranted by AIT against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from your date of purchase (“Warranty”). In the unlikely event that this product is defective, or does not perform properly, you may within one year from your original date of purchase return it to the authorized service center for repair or exchange.

TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE:

  • Provide proof of the date of purchase within the package (Dated bill of sale).
  • Prepay all shipping costs to the authorized service center, and remember to insure your return.
  • Include a return shipping address (no P.O. Boxes), a telephone contact number, and the defective unit within the package

Your product will be repaired or replaced, at our option, for the same or similar model of equal value if examination by the service center determines this product is defective. Products received damaged as a result of shipping, will require you to file a claim with the carrier.
