Installing the battery

The battery for the remote control (1 CR2025 Lithium Battery) is included. To replace the battery, push and slide out the battery door on the remote control. Replace the battery with a new CR2025 battery with the positive (+) polarity facing up. Slide the battery door back in to the remote control.

NOTE : The AR1005 remote is packaged with a plastic protection tab. Before operating the remote, gently pull the protective tab extending out of the remote control’s battery door.

Pairing the speaker with a Bluetooth enabled device

  1. Connect the AC power cord into a wall socket.

  2. Turn the speaker on by pressing the button on the speaker or remote control.

  3. Press the [MODE] Button on the speaker or remote control to enter Bluetooth Mode. A tone is heard and the LED display flashes BL. This indicates that the speaker is now in Bluetooth Pairing Mode.

  4. Keep the speaker and your Bluetooth-enabled device within three feet of each other during the pairingprocess.

  5. Set your mobile phone or other Bluetooth-enabled device to search for compatible Bluetooth devices.
    If there are no paired devices in range when the speaker is turned on, it will go into pairing mode automatically. It a paired device is in range, the speaker will connect to it automatically.

    • On an iPhone
      Go to SETTINGS > BLUETOOTH (Make sure Bluetooth is turned ON)

    • On a Blackberry

    • Goto SETTINGS/OPTIONS> BLUETOOTH

    • Enable BLUETOOTH (Make sure Bluetooth is turned ON)

    • On an Android Phone
      Goto SETTINGS > BLUETOOTH > MENU > Search for devices (Make sure Bluetooth is turned ON) On other Cell Phones/Devices
      Review the instruction manual that came with your phone/device.

  6. When your Bluetooth enabled device finds the speaker, select “AR 1005” from the list of found devices.

  7. If requi red, enter the password 0000 (four zeros). Select OK or YES to pair the two units.

  8. A tone will sound indicating a successful pairing. The BL indicator on the LED display will remain solid, indicating that you are now connected.

NOTE : If you would like to connect the speaker to another device, you must disconnect the speaker from the currently paired device first. On your device’s Bluetooth settings, select”AR1005”. then select “disconnect” or”unpair”; or press the [PAIR] button on t he remote. When the speaker has been unpaired, repeat the pairing process.

The screenshots above are typical of many Bluetooth enabled devices in the market today, and are used to assist in the explanation of the pairing process. Your Bluetooth enabled device’s interface and interaction with the speaker may differ slightly from the illustrations shown.

Using the speaker

Powering ON/OFF
Turn the speaker ON and OFF by pressing the button on the unit or the remote.

Adjusting the volume

  • Quick press the [VOL+] button on the speaker or the remote control to gradually increase the volume; press and HOLD to continually increase the volume to maximum level.
  • Quick press the [VOL – ] button on the speaker or the remote control to gradually decrease the volume; press and HOLD to continually decrease the volume to minimum level.
  • Press the button on the remote control to mute the sound. Press again to turn the sound back on.

You can also adjust the volume from your connected device’s volume control.

Switching modes
Press the [MODE] button on the speaker repeatedly to switch between modes: Bluetooth, AUX, and FM Radio.

Using the USB port
When the speaker is turned ON, the output USB port on the side panel is suitable for charging external devices such as smartphones, tablets, wireless headphones, and MP3 players. Please note t hat the USB connection can ONLY be used to charge your devices and not transfer data.

Playing music

Playing music wirelessly
To enjoy listening to music wirelessly on your Wireless Tower Speaker, make sure you are connected to a Bluetooth enabled device. Once connected, press PLAY on your Bluetooth device. After playback starts, you can cont rol the music with your connected device or the buttons of the Bluetooth speaker (with devices that have the AVRCP Bluetooth profi le).

Play/Pause
Quick press the button on the speaker or the remote control to pause t he music. To resume music playback, quick press the button again.

Skipping Songs

  • Quick press the button on the speaker or the remote control to skip to the previous song.

  • Quick press the button to on the speaker or t he remote control to skip to the next song.

    Adjusting the volume

  • Quick press the [VOL+] button on the speaker or t he remote control to gradually increase the volume; press and HOLD to continually increase the volume to maximum level.

  • Quick press the [VOL -1 button on the speaker or the remote control to gradually decrease the volume; press and HOLD to continually decrease the volume to minimum level.

  • Press the button on the remote control to mute the sound. Press again to turn the sound back on.

FM radio mode

1. Press the [MODE] button on your speaker or remote control to select FM RADIO mode.
2.Press the [FM SCAN] key on the remote control. The AR1005 Wireless Tower Speaker will automatically store up to 20 stations.
3. When the FM scan is completed, press the [CH+] or [CH-] keys on the remote control to select a preset station.
4. Press the Button on the speaker or the key on the remote control to MUTE the volume.

NOTE : Pressing the [FM SCAN] key again will erase the previously saved stations on your Wireless Tower Speaker. Always use [CH+] or [CH-] to search for your desired station

To enhance radio reception ability, fully unwind and extend the FM antenna wire located on the back of the speaker.

Using as a wired speaker Safety instructions Legal information

  1. Turn the speaker on using the button on the speaker or remote control.

  2. Press the [MODE] button on the speaker or remote control until AUX LINE is displayed on the speaker’s LED display.

  3. Connect one end of the included 3.5mm auxiliary cable to the AUX IN port on the side of the speaker and the other end to an external device’s
    headphone jack (smartphone, tablet or MP3 player).

  4. Open a media player on your device and press PLAY to start playing your music.

  5. Use the controls on your connected device to control music playback and volume.

Setting the time

  1. Connect the AC power cable into a wall socket.
  2. Press and hold the [MODE] button for 3 seconds. The HOURS field in the LED display will begin to flash.
  3. Adjust the hour by using the [VOL+] or [VOL-] buttons on the speaker.
  4. Quick press the [MODE] button to switch to the MINUTES field.
  5. Adjust the minutes by using the [VOL+] or [VOL-] buttons.
  6. Press [MODE] to confirm.

Troubleshooting tips

My Bluetooth Device is not able to pair with the Wireless Tower Speaker.

  1. Make sure the Wireless Tower Speaker is turned ON before beginning the pairing process.
  2. Keep the Wireless Tower Speaker and Bluetooth-enabled device within 3 feet of each other during the pairing process.
  3. Press the [MODE] Button on the speaker or remote control to enter Bluetooth Mode. A tone is heard and the Bluetooth LED display flashes “BL”. This indicates that the speaker is now in Bluetooth Pairing Mode.
  4. Check that YOUR device’s Bluetooth feature is turned ON.
  5. Try repeating the pairing process. Refer to “Pairing the Speaker with a Bluetooth Enabled Device.” can pair the Wireless Tower Speaker with my

Bluetooth device, but I cannot hear any music.

  1. Make sure your Bluetooth device supports an A2DP profile.
  2. Turn up the volume on your Bluetooth device.
  3. You may have to unpair the speaker, and then repair it to your device.

cannot get the Wireless Tower Speaker to pair Mode.
