SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Packaging materials and products that have reached the end of their useful life must be recycled in accordance with local regulations.
  • Do not use the product for any other purpose than the one it is intended to be used for.
  • The product is intended for household use, or for use in staff rooms, hotel rooms, or other similar places.
  • If the power cord or plug is damaged it must be replaced by an authorized service center to ensure safe use.
  • Do not store explosive or flammable substances in the product, such as spray cans with propellant gas.
  • Switch off the product, pull out the plug, and wait until the product has completely cooled before cleaning and/ or maintenance.
  • Do not use an extension cord or plug adapter, or the equivalent.
  • Pull out the plug before fitting the accessories.
  • This product can be used by children from 8 years and upwards and by persons with physical, sensorial, or mental disabilities, or persons who lack experience or knowledge if they are supervised or receive instructions concerning the safe use of the product and understand the risks involved. Keep children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the product. Do not allow children to use, clean, or maintain the product without supervision.

WARNING!

  • Fire risk – flammable material.
  • Always keep the ventilation openings clean.
  • Never use other objects or methods than those recommended by the manufacturer to defrost the product.
  • Make sure that the refrigerant circuit is not damaged.
  • Do not use electrical devices in the product, unless recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Route the power cord so that it cannot be driven over, trod on or pinched, or tripped over.
  • Do not connect the product to a power strip or portable power supply unit.
  • DANGER: Risk of the child getting trapped. Before discarding, lift off the door. Leave the shelves in place, this makes it more difficult for children to climb in.

INSTALLATION

UNPACKING

  1. Remove all packaging material, such as foam rubber and tape-holding accessories inside and outside.
  2. Check that packaging material, tape, stickers, and paper are removed before starting the fridge.

POSITIONING

  • Leave at least 19 mm of free space on each side, 50 mm behind and 50 mm above the fridge, to ensure adequate ventilation.
  • If the fridge is placed adjacent to a wall, leave enough space to open the door.
  • Place the fridge on a level, firm surface, protected from direct sunlight and away from sources of heat such as radiators.
  • Do not use the fridge in uninsulated or unheated rooms. The fridge is not intended to be used in ambient temperatures less than 10°C.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

  • The fridge must only be connected to a correctly earthed power point.
  • Never modify the plug in any way. Allow an authorized electrician to install an earthed power point if the plug does not fit in the PowerPoint.
  • Do not connect the fridge to a power point that can be switched off.
  • Do not use an extension cord – the risk of overheating.

ADJUSTING THE DOOR

  1. Take the cap off the top hinge by carefully bending it with a screwdriver under the front edge.
  2. Unscrew the screws on the hinge.
  3. Adjust the door, or use a spacer if necessary. Tighten the screws.
  4. Replace the cap on the hinge by aligning the back edge of the cap to the back edge of the hinge.

USE

TEMPERATURE
The fridge automatically maintains the set temperature. The temperature dial has seven temperature settings, where 1 is the warmest and 7 the coldest. When the temperature dial is set to 0 both the fridge part and freezer compartment are switched off.

The first time the fridge is switched on

  1. Set the temperature dial to 4 and wait 24 hours.
  2. Check the temperature, and adjust the setting if necessary.

NOTE:
If the fridge has been horizontal or tilted, stand it upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in.

REMOVING/INSERTING THE SHELF

  1. Carefully lift up the edge of the shelf and pull it out.
  2. Put the shelf in by carefully pushing it in place.

DEFROSTING

  1. Pull out the plug, open the door, and take out all the food.

  2. Place a container under the freezer compartment.

  3. Set the temperature dial to 0.

  4. Put a bowl of hot water in the product and leave the door open (for quicker defrosting).
    • Water drips into the container during defrosting. The container may need to be emptied during the defrosting.

After defrosting

  1. Empty the container.
  2. Wipe clean the inside of the product.
  3. Set the required temperature.
  4. Replace the food.

MAINTENANCE

CLEANING IMPORTANT:
Pull out the plug before cleaning.

  • Clean with a cloth moistened with water and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive or strong detergents.
  • Wipe clean with a damp cloth and then wipe dry with a soft cloth.
  • Do not use wax, strong detergent, bleach, or detergent that contains petroleum on plastic or rubber parts.
  • Do not use paper, window cleaner, or abrasive or flammable detergent on plastic parts, this can damage the fridge.

DOOR SEAL

  • Clean the door seal about every three months according to the instructions.
  • Apply a little Vaseline on the hinge side of the seal to keep the seal soft and ensure good sealing.

LONG-TERM STORAGE
Follow the instructions below if the fridge is not going to be used for a long time.

  1. Pull out the plug.
  2. Set the temperature dial to 0.
  3. Empty and defrost the fridge and clean the inside according to the instructions.
  4. Leave the door ajar to prevent it from smelling.

NOTE:
Always move and transport the fridge upright.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The fridge is not working

  • Check that the plug is plugged in.
  • Check that the temperature dial is in the 0 positions.
  • Check that the power point is supplied with voltage. Check the fuse.

Temperature too high

  • The door is opened frequently.
  • Newly inserted food has not managed to cool/freeze.
  • Check that the door seal is sealing correctly.
  • Set a lower temperature with the temperature dial.

Temperature too low
Set a higher temperature and wait a few hours until the temperature has adjusted.
Moisture in or on the outside of the product

  • This is normal with high relative humidity.
  • The door is opened or left open frequently.
  • Check that the door seal is sealing correctly.

Bad smell

  • The product needs to be cleaned inside.
  • Incorrectly packed food can smell.

The door does not close properly

  • Adjust the door.
  • Check that packed food, shelves, drawers, etc. are not blocking the door.
