FIXTURE INSTALLATION
- Attach the MOUNTING PLATE (A) onto the junction box using the MOUNTING SCREWS (B). Thisfixture is designed to be mounted on standard round or octagon junction box. The junction box mustbe securely mounted to the structure of the building.
- Remove the SCREW COLLAR (I) from the COLLAR LOOP (H). Fully thread the NIPPLE (C) onto theCOLLAR LOOP (H). Thread the HEX NUT (E) onto the NIPPLE (C) along with TOOTH WASHER (D).Then thread the NIPPLE (C) onto the MOUNTING PLATE (A). Adjust the NIPPLE (C) so that the threads of the COLLAR LOOP (H) extends 14 ” beyond the CANOPY (J). Secure using HEX NUT (E).
- Open the end link the of the CHAIN (K) and attach to the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (L) at the desired height.Slide the SCREW COLLAR (I) and the CANOPY (J) onto the CHAIN (K). Open the link on other end ofthe CHAIN (K) then attach unto the COLLAR LOOP (H). Feed the wires through the CHAIN (K) ,SCREW COLLAR (I), CANOPY (J), COLLAR LOOP (H), NIPPLE (C), and MOUNTING PLATE (A).
- Cut off excess wires, and strip the insulation off the end of the leads.
- Attach the Ground wire to the ground inside the junction box (Generally green or bare copper wire)or the GROUND SCREW (F) on the MOUNTING PLATE (A). NEVER CONNECT GROUND WIRE TO”HOT” WIRE FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH
- Connect the fixture’s SPT Neutral (SPT WIRE WITH NO WRITINGS) wire lead to the neutral (Generallywhite) wire in the outlet box. Fasten the wires together with an approved fastener (WIRE NUT) (G).Starting 1″ below the fastener, tightly wrap the connection with electrical tape so that the connections seals the end of the fastener. MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO EXPOSED WIRE OF STRANDS THAT COULDCAUSE A DANGEROUS SHORT CIRCUIT
- Connect the fixture’s SPT hot (SPT WITH WRITNGS) wire lead to the hot (Generally black) wire in thejunction box. Fasten the joined wires same as previous step. NEVER REVERSE HOT AND NEUTRALWIRES. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH
- Push the wires back into the junction box. Lift up the CANOPY (J) up to the ceiling, and screw theSCREW COLLAR (I) onto the COLLAR LOOP (H).
- Screw the BULB (M) up into the SOCKET of the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (L). THIS FIXTURE IS RATED FOR25 WATT TYPE G LAMP. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED WATTAGE
- Restore power to the OUTLET at the breaker or fuse box.
