FIXTURE INSTALLATION
- Attach the MOUNTING PLATE (A) onto the junction box using the MOUNTING SCREWS (B). This fixture is designed to be mounted on a standard round or octagon junction box. The junction box must be securely mounted to the structure of the building.
- Open the end link on the CHAIN (I) and attach to the loop on the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (J) . Hang the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (J) on the CHAIN (1) at your desired height, and remove excess CHAIN (1).
- Feed the wire through the CHAIN (1) , SCREW COLLAR (G), CANOPY (H), SCREW COLLAR LOOP (F), NIPPLE (E), and MOUNTING PLATE (A), and screw the NIPPLE (E) onto the MOUNTING PLATE (A).
- Open the top link on the CHAIN i), and Hang the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (I) (WITH LED) to the SCREW COLLAR LOOP (F).
- Cut off excess wire, and strip the insulation off the end of the leads.
- Attach the Ground wire (Green) to the ground inside the junction box (Generally green or bar copper wire) or the GROUND SCREW (C) on the MOUNTING PLATE (A). NEVER CONNECT GROUND WIRE TO “HOT” WIRE! FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH!
- Connect the fixture lead to the ridges) to the neutral (Generally white) wire in the outlet box. Fasten the wires together with an approved fastener (WIRE NUT) (D). Starting I’ below the fastener, tightly wrap the connection with electrical tape so that the connection seals the end of the fastener. MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO EXPOSED WIRES OF STRANDS THAT COULD CAUSE A DANGEROUS SHORT CIRCUIT!
- Connect the smooth fixture leads with to the hot (Generally black) wire in the junction box. Fasten the joined wires the same as in the previous step. NEVER REVERSE HOT AND NEUTRAL WIRES. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH!
- Push the wires back into the junction box. Lift up the CANOPY (H) up to the ceiling, and secure it with the SCREW COLLAR (G).
- Lift the SHADE (K) up to the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (1) and secure with the RING (L). Il. Screw the BULB (M) into the SOCKET of the fixture. THIS FIXTURE IS RATED FOR MAX 25-WATT TYPE G40 LAMP. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED WATTAGE!
- Restore power to the outlet at the breaker or fuse box.
