  • Do not cover the crumb tray with aluminum foil. (May cause product malfunction.)

Accessories – Double Grill Pans
The Aladdin specifically designed double grill pans enable you to use the oven toaster to cook various cuisines. Either one of the grill pans can be used as a lid so that the oil of the food would not spill out, thus keeping the inside of the toaster clean. The grill pans are produced with non-stick coating for easy cleanup

  • The inner sides of the pans are coated with heat-resistant silicone, which can stand the heat of 840°F.
A griddle Pan is Suitable for cooking oily ingredients/dishes.
Flat Pan It is appropriate for broiling food or making pancakes, etc.
Grill Rack It can be used for steaming food, or dripping oil, making fried food crispy.

  • Do not use them on direct flame.
  • If either grill pan is used as a lid, you may rotate the lid for easy removal.
  • Use the grill rack on the flat pan.
  • The grill pans are very hot right after cooking. Use oven gloves when you remove the gill pans from the oven toaster.

Heating Elements (inside the toaster)

  • Upper heating element: Graphite heater (1 pcs) The patented heating technology enables the heaters to heat up quickly to the desired temperature. In order to achieve uniform doneness, the center of the heating element does not glow to create air circulation
  • Lower heating elements: Quartz heaters (3 pcs) The upper graphite heater is so bright that the lower heating elements may not appear to glow. This is normal.

Double Grill Pans

  • Place the double grill pans on the toasting net.

■ Notes about how the thermostat functions

  • This oven toaster has a thermostat to regulate the oven temperature as desired by turning the heating elements on and off. Since the patented Graphite heating elements heat up very quickly, you will see the light on and off regularly.
  • To avoid overheating, this appliance is equipped with a safety device that cuts off the power in case it is overheating. It can be turned on as usual after having completely cooled down
  • When cooking frozen foods directly, the inside of the food might not reach the oven-set temperature as quickly as the outside. Set a lower temperature and cook for a long time. Then set a higher temperature according to the recipe to grill the outside of the food.

NOTE
The double grill pans or the cooking trays purchased from the market might be deformed when cooking with frozen food. This is caused by the temperature difference between the areas where the frozen food is placed and where nothing is placed, but it will return to its original form when it cools down.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  • When you use the toaster for the first time, heat it without any food for about three minutes. Some odor or smoke may occur, and this is normal. As you use the toaster repeatedly, the odor or smoke will gradually fade out.
  • Don’t put any food on the opened door. (Otherwise, the toaster may tumble or the food may slip down.)

Plug into a wall socket

  • Check that the timer control is in the “Of.’ Check that the crumb tray is installed.

  • Do not use containers made from heat-intolerant materials such as plastic.

Set the desired temperature control

  • Guideline for temperature and time° turning Temp. Control Refer to Cooking Guidelines in Page 7.

Adjust Timer Control

  • One graduation of the timer control is about one minute. When you set it to “5” or a smaller value, turn the knob past “6” and return to the desired cooking time.
  • Water may escape from the food as steam. If you broil food more than necessary or use the toaster continuously in many cycles, the toaster may be overheated and some parts of the main body may be discolored.

The timer makes a “ding” sound when the cooking time is complete. Then take the food out of the toaster with kitchen gloves.

  • The timer’s ticking sound continues for a while after the time is complete, which is not a malfunction.
  • Manually turn the timer anticlockwise to OFF if you would like to finish before the timer finish counting.

Unplug the toaster after use.

  • If you warm any frozen food product that can be warmed only with a microwave, it may bum, so do not use the toaster for the purpose.

  • If you want to brown the bottom side of an item, flip it over and heat it for a little longer time.

HOW TO CLEAN
REMOVING THE CRUMB TRAY

Remove the crumb tray by pulling it out from the bottom as indicated. To install, please ensure to push it all the way in, with its surface marked with “UP” upward. (Otherwise, the crumb tray may hinder the door from opening.)

  • Before cleaning, please make sure you have unplugged the oven toaster and wait until it has completely cooled down.
    Main body Inner Chamber

  • Never immerse in water. Prepare a piece of slightly damp cloth soaked with neutral detergent to clean then wipe dry.

  • When cooking with oily ingredients, please use the double grill pans or cover the ingredients with aluminum foil to avoid oil spilling which makes the inner chamber very difficult to clean

  • Wash with a sponge soaked in diluted kitchen-neutral detergent, then

Double Grill Pans hang or wipe dry. Both parts are dishwasher-safe.

  • If the ingredients are burnt on the grill pans, it could be very difficult for Grill Rack
  • to remove the dirt. You may put on a piece of aluminum foil or parchment paper inside the pans before cooking for easy cleaning.

  • Do not leave double grill pans uncleaned or in water. The remains could lead to bacteria actions and damage the coating of the pans and rust. Make sure you do not let the aluminum foil contact any of the heating elements, or the aluminum loll will melt and adhere to the heating element and cause product damage.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Check Items

Heating elements are turned off before the set time elapses. The lights are repeatedly turned on and off. The lights are not turned on.| • Check if the toaster is unplugged.
• This toaster has a thermostat that regulates the cooking temperature by turning the heating elements on and off. This is normal.
Insufficient doneness| • Check If the food Is covered with aluminum foil.
• Check that the cooking procedure, the set time of the timer control, and the use method for grill pans are correct.

A lot of steam is coming out during the operation| • When the ingredients have high water or oil content, under high heat, a lot of water will vaporize in a short time. This is normal.

COOKING GUIDELINES

■ Using aluminum foil:

  • Set a shorter time when cooking food that is easily burned. While checking the color, cover it with aluminum foil when necessary.
  • If the food generates a smell, wrap it with aluminum foil and place it in the grill pan, so that no smell is transferred to what is cooked next.
  • Make sure you do not let the aluminum foil to contact any of the heating elements, or the aluminum foil will melt and adhere to the heating element and cause a malfunction.
  • If the food is not sufficiently cooked, continue to heat it by using the timer control and monitor the doneness.
  • When cooking for more than 15 minutes, set the timer control again after checking the doneness.
  • When operating the toaster continuously in several cycles, set a shorter time in the second and subsequent cycles than the first cycle, and check the doneness while cooking.

■ When cooking frozen food, follow the packing instructions specified for “oven toaster.”

  • This toaster regulates the temperature, so it may take a longer time to cook a frozen food product than the time suggested on the food package. Adjust the cooking time while checking the brownness.

■ Continue cooking after the first cycle.

  • When one cycle finishes, leave the door open while preparing the next item, which allows the heating elements to turn on soon and the cooking time to be shortened.
  • Do not open the door while cooking. The cooking condition changes and the cooking cannot be finished as the timer is set as Intended.

■ When cooking mocha: Adjust the time according to the type and the number of pieces of rice cake.

■ When toasting bread slices:
Adjust the cooking time according to the bread type, thickness, and number of the slices

  • The upper surface of a thick bread slice will be slightly dark-browned.
  • For frozen food that cannot be easily warmed such as frozen bread slices, leave it in the toaster for a while after the time is complete. The food will be warmed in the residual heat.
  • When several bread slices are cooked continuously, the second or subsequent slice can be toasted in a shorter time than the first.

■Recommended Cooking Time
The recommended cooking time in the chart below should be used as a reference for the first cooking cycle. The actual cooking time could vary depending on factors like the temperature, type and quantity of food, and even the room temperature. Please adjust the cooking time while monitoring the doneness.
