Safety precautions
INTENDED USE
This product is intended for indoor residential and office use only, not for
industrial or other commercial application. Use only with electrical wiring
that is in good working order and that meets applicable codes and ordinances.
This heater must be plugged in to a 120V AC, 15 Amp. (or larger) circuit. Do
not plug anything additional into the same circuit. If you have any questions
whether your wiring is adequate, consult a qualified electrician. Risk of
fire, overheating, malfunction, property damage, injury or even death may
result if not adhered to. Use your heater only with a working smoke detector
located in the vicinity of your heater.
While using your heater, you should follow the IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS listed
below and further in this manual. As part of those instructions, we have used
the word “WARNING” to indicate the level of hazard: WARNING indicates a hazard
which, if not avoided, could result in injury of death.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed
to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons, including
the following:
Read all the instructions before using this heater. This heater is hot when in
use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces, Use provided
handle when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture,
pillows, bedding papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 meters)
from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
Do not leave operating heater unattended. Use of extreme caution is necessary
when any heater is used by or near children, invalids, disabled persons or
pets.
Do not operate the heater with a damaged power cord or plug or after the
heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater
to authorized service facility or manufacturer for examination, electrical or
mechanical adjustment or repair.
Do not use heater outdoors. Use your heater only in dry environments. This
heater is not intended for use in a bathroom, laundry area, or similar
locations, or near sinks, washing machines, swimming pools or other sources of
water. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water
container. Do not use in damp environments such as flooded basements. Do not
place the heater on a small, unlevel, uneven or any surface which might allow
heater to tip or fall.
For proper operation, heater should be placed on a smooth, non-combustible
surface. Do you place on rugs, carpet, vinyl flooring or other plastic
surfaces. Not for use outdoors or in wet areas.
This heater is not designed as a primary heat source. Always plug heaters
directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or
relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip). Always unplug heater when not in
use.
Do not run power cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs,
runners or similar coverings. Do not route cord under fumiture or appliances.
Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
To disconnect heater, turn controls off then remove plug from outlet. Do not
insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as
this may cause an electric shock or fire or damage the heater.
To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner.
Do not use on soft surfaces like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are used or stored. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons or property. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap(outlet/power strip).
WARNING: SHOCK HAZARD
Use your heater only in dry environments. This heater is not intended for use
in a bathroom, laundry area, or similar locations, or near sinks, washing
machines, swimming pools or other sources of water. Never locate heater where
it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. Do not use heater
outdoors. Do not use in damp environments such as flooded basements.
WARNING: HOT SURFACES
Do not touch body of heater when in use. This heater is hot when in use, to
avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles
when moving this heater.
WARNING: FIRE HAZARD
Heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use near
combustible materials or flammable gases or sources of heat. DO NOT USE in
areas where gasoline, paint or flammable materials are used or stored. Keep
combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and
curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them
away from the sides and rear. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air
intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed,
where openings may become blocked. Do not place the heater near a bed because
objects such as pillows or blankets can fall off the bed and be ignited by the
heater. Do not insert of allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or
exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock, fire or damage the
heater.
WARNING: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
Do not use with damaged cord or plug. Use with adequate electrical system that
is up to code. The supply cord has a polarized plug. As a safety feature this
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. To prevent electric shock,
match wide blade of plug to wide slot, fully insert plug. If the plug does not
fit contact a qualified electrician.
Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after heater
malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Do not operate heater
with a broken heating element or ceramic cone or any visual imperfections. For
repairs covered under warranty, see warranty statement.
PET OWNERS NOTE: (3mm high)
The health of birds and some small pets are extremely sensitive to the fumes
given off during the initial use of many appliances.
Although these fumes are not harmful to humans, it is recommend- ed that this
heater not be used around birds and small pets during its initial use the
manufacturing corrosion coatings burn off.
CAUTION: Risk of electric shock.No user-serviceable parts inside.

In case of failure / abnormality, stop using immediately. Using it as it is may cause smoke generation, ignition, electric shock or injury.
- Even when you turn on the switch, there are times the power does not turn on.
- When you jiggle the cord, there are times the power turns on, but there are times not.
- There are irregular sounds and vibrations when the power is on. The plug / cord / main unit is abnormally hot.
- There is a burning smell.

Please disconnect the power plug immediately and request your vendor for inspection and repair.

It is not to be disassembled or repaired except by the repair technicians who do not perform modification.
It may cause fire, electric shock, or injury. -
Do not place a spray can or the like near the main unit.
Doing so may cause explosion or fire. -
Do not insert foreign objects, such as metal objects including pins and wires, into the air intake and exhaust ports and gaps.
Electric shock or abnormal operation may result in injury. -
Do not use near the flammable items such as curtains and mattresses / blankets. Doing so may cause fire.

Do not use while sleeping. Doing so may cause a fire if the bedding and such has a contact with the heater.

Keep the power plug clean. Wipe the dust off if it adheres to the prong or the mounting surface of the prong.
Failure to do so may cause a short circuit or fire. -
Use outlets rated at 15A or more alone.
When used in conjunction with other devices, the branch outlet section may become heated abnormally and ignite. Also, please do not use the extension cord. It may cause abnor-mal heat generation, fire, or electric shock. -
The power cord cannot be slit, manipulated, bent forcefully, pulled, twisted, used in bundle, put under a heavy object, inserted, placed under the main unit of the electric heater, etc.
The power cord may become damaged by doing so, causing fire or electric shock. -
Insert the power plug firmly into the outlet.
Failure to do so may cause a danger of 4 electric shock, short circuit, smoke emission, or fire. -
Do not use while sleeping.
Doing so may cause a fire if the bedding and such has a contact with the heater. -
There is a danger of burns of skin.
Please pay special attention when it is used for the following people. lnfants or those who cannot operate it by themselves. People with a weak skin sensation. -
When you leave its side, be sure to turn the switch knob to “OFF”.
Failure to do so may cause a fire. -
Do not generate the heat on the same unit part for a long time.
If you generate the heat on the same place of the skin for a long time even at a relatively low temperature, there is a danger of low temperature -burns.

Do not use other than AC 120V.
Doing so may cause fire or electric shock. -
Do not plug in or disconnect the power plug with wet hands.
You may get electric shock or injured by doing so. -
Do not use if the power cord or power plug is damaged, or the outlet is loose.

CAUTION

When disconnecting the power plug, be sure to pull out by holding the power plug, not the power cord.
Electric shock or short-circuit may occur if failure to do so. -
Do not touch the part with high temperature during use or after use for a while.
Doing so may cause burns. -
Disconnect the power plug at all times when it is not in use.
Failure to do so may result in injury, burns, insulation deteriortion, electric shock or electric leakage. -
Do not spill water or tea, etc. on the main unit or operation unit.
In case of spilling, there is a danger of electric leakage, electric shock, and overheating; therefore stop using it immediately and have it inspected by the vendor. -
Do not use on shaggy rugs or cushions.
Contact of the anti-tip over double safety switch becomes unstable and it may cause a fire. -
Do not use for other purposes such as drying.
It may overheat and ignite by doing so. Please be aware of falling of flammable objects. -
Be sure to disconnect the power plug and wait until the main unit is no longer hot before cleaning.
Failure to do so may cause electric shock, short-circuit or fire. -
Do not use in the shower/bathroom or outdoors.
Failure to do so may result in electric shock, short-circuit, or ignition of fire.
Pay attention to wetness by water.
- If water is spilled directly on the heater, it may be damaged.
Be sure to put it on a firm and level surface.
- Putting it on a soft mat and the like is dangerous because it is unstable.

- In case of the main unit being tipped over, the power supply stops.
- Although the power cord becomes slightly warm while using, it is not a malfunction. (Do not bundle the power cord while in use)

Preparation before use
Please make sure to attach the base to the main unit before use.
Accessories:
Please check the following items before installing the base.

Install the base

Assemble the base.
- Turn the base upside down, align the pawl with the groove and snap it in.
- Turn the base upside down, align the pawl with the groove and snap it in.

Remove the screw attached to the main unit.

Attach the base to the main unit.

Attach main unit to the base.

Tighten the three screws securely.
- There may be some gaps, but it is not abnormal.
How to carry around
-
When carrying around, be sure to turn off the power, disconnect the power plug, and wait until the main unit has cooled down.

Lift the main unit by holding the handle.
-
Do not drag the power plug and the power cord, and be sure to hold them in your hand.
-
Please be careful not to damage the floor.
Correct way of using
Be sure to use it in the following places at all times for safety.
Places where the heater is away from flammable materials by the following
distance:
- Front / above: 3 feet or more
- Sides: 3 feet or more
- Back: 3 feet or more
Notice
Ventilate adequately at the beginning of use.
When using for the first time, smoke and smell of paint may be emitted. It
will subside as you further using it, but if smoke or smell emerges, please
use with sufficient ventilation.
Please do not sit on, or put your feet on top of the main unit. It is
dangerous because it may tip over.
Crackling noises may arise while in use.
This is due to expansion / contraction by heat.
When the main unit tips over or tilts due to the function of anti-tip over
double safety switch, the power supply stops.
When using with low, noise may enter the radio, stereo, etc., so please keep
the distance from them.
When changing the direction of the heater section, please do it so by holding
the handle on the back.

Insert the power plug.
- Make sure the prongs of the power plug are not deformed. Please do not use if deformed.

Adjust the switch knob to the desired position.
- There is a difference in brightness and warmth of the heater by using at HIGH or LOW.
- The Power Indicator will illuminate,indicating the heater is on.
- The Power Indicator will not illuminate,indicating the heater is off.

When finished using, turn he switch knob to “OFF” and disconnect the power plug.
WARNING
**** Always connect the power plug to a household outlet (AC 120V) with a
capacity of 15A (1500 W) or higher.
If you think that heater is malfunctioning
Please read this operators manual carefully and do the following inspection before requesting the repair. If the problem still exists, please take the product together with the warranty certificate to the vendor you purchased the product from. Incorrect repair leads to a dangerous accident such as fire or electric shock. Do not disassemble and repair it at home.

How to store
When storing back in the original box
- Take the dirt off the main unit.
- Remove the base from the main unit.
- Place the main unit on a flat surface and remove the three screws.
- Remove the base from the main unit.
* Please attach those three screws to the main unit to prevent loss.

- Bundle the power cord.

- Place the main unit in a plastic bag and store it in the original box.
- Please store in a place with no or little humidity and avoid direct sunlight.
How to User Maintenance
- Unplug the heater and let it cool completely.
- To keep the heater dean,the outer housing may be cleaned with a soft,damp cloth.You may use a detergent if necessary. After cleaning,dry it with a soft cloth.
- Do not use alcohol,gasoline,abrasiye deansers,furniture polish,or rough brushes to clean the heater.This may cause damage or deterioration to the surface of the heater.
- Do not immerse the heater in water.
- Wait until the heater is completely dry before use.
