Product Usage Instructions

Setting up components
When setting up your PC, follow these steps:

  1. Arrange the cables so that nobody can step on them or trip over them.
  2. Position your PC and peripherals in such a way that the connections are easily accessible.

Connecting peripherals
Speakers
To connect your speakers:

  1. Connect the speakers to the green audio output.

Monitor
To connect your monitor:

  1. Connect your monitor’s signal cable to the VGA, DVI-D, or HDMI connection on your PC.

Keyboard and Mouse
To connect your keyboard and mouse:

  1. Connect the keyboard and the mouse to a free USB connection.

Connecting power supply
To connect the power supply:

  1. Connect the power cord to the mains connection on your PC, and then plug it into a socket. The socket must be near to the PC and easily accessible.

Start-up
To start up your PC:

  1. Switch on the main switch on the power supply unit to provide the PC with power.
  2. Switch on the monitor and PC by pressing the on/off switch on the top of the PC.

Activating anti-virus software
To activate the anti-virus software:

  1. The anti-virus software is pre-installed on your PC and will automatically be registered when the PC connects to the Internet.
  2. You will receive free updates for 30 days with the free registration.
  3. Do not install any additional anti-virus software as it could impair the performance of your PC.
  4. When you connect to the Internet for the first time, the operating system and anti-virus software will be updated automatically. This process may take several minutes and may affect the operating speed of the computer during first use.

Setting up components

When setting up your PC, arrange the cables so that nobody can step on them or trip over them. Position your PC and peripherals in such a way that the connections are easily accessible.

Connecting peripherals

  1. Connect your monitor’s signal cable to the VGA, DVI or HDMI connection on your PC.(Please read the operating manual for your monitor.)
  2. Connect the keyboard and the mouse to a free USB connection.
  3. Connect the speakers to the green audio output.

Connecting power supply

  • Connect the power cord to the mains connection on your PC, and then plug it into a socket. The socket must be near to the PC and easily accessible.

Start-up

  • Your PC power supply unit has a main switch to provide the PC with power. Set the switch to position I. (If you set it to 0 the power supply will be interrupted.)

  • Switch on the PC by briefly pressing the on/ off switch on the top. Your PC will now start and run through various steps.
    Notice! There should be no bootable disk in the optical drive as this will prevent the operating system from being loaded from the hard drive.

  • Follow the initial set-up instructions once the Windows welcome screen has appeared. Step-by-step instructions will guide you through the process to be followed.

Activating anti-virus software

Anti-virus software is installed on your PC. The software will automatically be registered when the PC connects to the Internet. With the free registration, you will receive free updates for 30 days.
Notice! Do not install any additional anti-virus software, as this could impair the performance of your PC.
When you connect to the Internet for the first time, the operating system and anti-virus software are updated automatically. This process usually takes several minutes to complete. During this period it can adversely affect the operating speed of the computer but this only occurs on first use.
