The scope of delivery includes one type AAA 1.5 V and one type AA 1.5 V batteries.

General information

Reading and storing the user manual

This user manual accompanies this wireless keyboard and mouse set (hereafter referred to as the “product”), and contains important information on setup and handling.
Before using the product, read the user manual carefully. This particularly applies to the safety instructions. Failure to do so may result in personal injury or damage to the product.
Store the user manual for further use. Make sure to include this user manual when passing the product on to third parties.

Proper use

The product is exclusively designed as input devices for a computer. It is only intended for private use and not suitable for commercial purposes.
Only use the product as described in this user manual. Any other use is considered improper and may result in damage to property or persons.
The manufacturer or vendor cannot be held liable for damages or injury incurred through improper or incorrect use.

The following symbols are used in this user manual, on the product or on the packaging.

This symbol provides you with useful additional information on handling and use.

The following symbols and signal words are used in this user manual.

This signal symbol/word designates a hazard with moderate risk, which may result in death or severe injury if not avoided.

NOTICE! This signal word warns of possible damage to property.

General safety instructions

Risk of injury! Improper handling of the product may increase the risk of injury.
– This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
– Keep the product away from children. Small parts are included. They may cause suffocation if swallowed or inhaled.
– To avoid injury to the eyes, do not look directly into the LED light source of the optical sensor. Do not look at the LED light source using optical instruments.
– Turn the product off when on board of an aircraft, in a hospital, in an operating theater or in the vicinity of electronic medical equipment. The RF signals may interfere with the functionality of sensitive devices.
– Keep the product at least 8 inches (20 cm) away from pacemakers, as the RF signals could interfere with its functionality.
– Do not use the product near flammable gases or in a potentially explosive area (e.g. a paint shop).
– Make sure that children do not play with the plastic wrapping. They may get caught in it when playing and suffocate.

Notes on batteries

Health hazards! Children and animals may swallow and choke on batteries.
– Store batteries in places that are out of reach of children and animals.
– Dispose of any discharged batteries immediately according to locally applicable regulations.
– Immediately consult a physician if a child or animal has swallowed a battery.

Risk of leaking or explosion! Improper handling of batteries may increase the risk of leaking or explosion.
– Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat (e.g. direct sunlight) and do not throw them into fire.
– Replace the batteries only with batteries of the same type.
– Make sure that the batteries are inserted the right way around by checking if the polarity (+ and -) is correct.
– Always use high-quality batteries (e.g. Activ Energy). Poor quality batteries could leak and cause damage.
– Before inserting the batteries, ensure that the contacts in the battery compartments and on the batteries themselves are clean and intact. Clean these if necessary.
– Remove the batteries from the product when they are dead. Likewise, remove the batteries if you do not intend to use the product for a prolonged period of time. Otherwise the batteries may leak and cause damage.
– Remove the batteries before disposing of the product.
– Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
– Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed.
– The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
– If the batteries leak, do not remove battery fluid with your bare hands. Do not allow battery fluid to come into contact with skin, eyes or mucous membranes. Use normal household washing gloves. If, however, your skin has come into contact with battery fluid, wash the corresponding area of your skin immediately and consult a physician if necessary.
– Wipe the leaked battery fluid up with a damp cloth. You can wash the cloth and reuse it or dispose of it with your household waste.

– Stop using the product if its plastic parts exhibit cracks or breaks or become deformed.
– Always place the product on a stable and level surface. It can be damaged if dropped.
– Keep the product away from open fire and hot surfaces.
– Do not expose the product to splashing and/or dripping water and do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases or drinks, on or next to the product.
– Never submerge the product in water or other liquids.
– Do not open the housing; instead, have a qualified professional perform repairs.

Checking the product and scope of delivery

NOTICE!
Risk of damage! If you are not cautious when opening the packaging with a sharp knife or other pointed object, you may quickly damage the product.
– For this reason, be very careful when opening it.

  1. Take the product out of the packaging.
  2. Check to make sure that all parts are included (see Fig. A).
  3. Check whether the product or individual parts are damaged. If this is the case, do not use the product. Contact the manufacturer via the toll -free telephone number indicated on the warranty card.

Installing the product

Installing or replacing batteries
  • The keyboard is powered by one AAA battery.
  • The mouse is powered by one AA battery.

Keyboard

  1. Remove the battery compartment cover 6 on the underside of the keyboard 1 .
  2. Insert the AAA battery 15 into the battery compartment. Make sure the polarity (+/­) is correct. For battery replacement, remove the old battery first.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover.

Mouse

  1. Remove the battery compartment cover 13 on the underside of the mouse 7 .
  2. Insert the AA battery 16 into the battery compartment. Make sure the polarity (+/­) is correct. For battery replacement, remove the old battery first.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover.
Installing the USB receiver
  1. Remove the battery compartment cover 13 on the underside of the mouse 7 and then remove the USB receiver 17 from the battery compartment (see Fig. B).
  2. Close the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the USB receiver into the USB port of your computer (see Fig. C).

Operation

  • The product is a plug-and-play device and requires no driver installation and setup.
  • The maximum distance between the product and USB receiver is around 33 ft (10 m).
  • The product will automatically enter into sleep mode if it is idle for about 10 minutes. Press any button to turn on the product again.
Before using the product
  1. Make sure the batteries 15 / 16 are installed in the keyboard 1 and in the mouse 7 , respectively (see chapter “Installing or replacing batteries”).
  2. Make sure the USB receiver 17 is inserted into the USB port of your computer (see chapter “Installing the USB receiver”).
Using the keyboard

– The keyboard 1 is ready to use once the AAA battery 15 is installed and it is successfully connected to the USB receiver 17 .
– If necessary, flip down the support feet 5 to tilt up the keyboard.
– The number lock indicator 2 lights up when the number pad is enabled for typing numbers.
– The caps lock indicator 3 lights up when the caps lock feature is enabled.
– The low battery indicator 4 lights up when the battery power level is low. Replace the AAA battery (see chapter “Installing or replacing batteries”).
– If you are not going to use the keyboard for a long period of time, remove the AAA battery from the battery compartment. Store the battery in a cool, dry place and keep it away from children.

Using the mouse

– Slide the on/off switch 12 on the underside of the mouse 7 to the ON position to switch the mouse on.
The optical sensor 14 lights up when the mouse is switched on.
The mouse is ready to use once it is successfully connected to the USB receiver 17 .
– To configure the mouse (including the left button 8 , scroll wheel/middle button 9 and right button 10 ), go to the mouse setting menu of your computer’s operating system.
– Press the DPI button 11 to cycle through the mouse sensitivity settings (800, 1,200 and 1,600 DPI). The higher you set the DPI of the mouse, the faster your cursor will move.
– If the mouse fails to respond, the battery power level may be low. Replace the AA battery (see chapter “Installing or replacing batteries”).
– If you are not going to use the mouse for a long period of time, slide the on/off switch to the OFF position to switch it off.

Troubleshooting

Some problems may be caused by minor faults that you can fix yourself. To do so, follow the instructions in the following table. If it is still not possible to resolve the problem, contact customer service. Do not repair the product yourself.

Troubleshooting

Cleaning

NOTICE!
Risk of short circuit! Water or other liquids that have penetrated the housing may cause a short circuit.
– Make sure that no water or other liquids penetrate the housing.
– Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.

NOTICE!
Risk of damage! Improper handling of the product may result in damage to the product.
– Do not use any abrasive cleaners, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning utensils such as knives, hard scrapers and the like. They could damage the surfaces.
– Use a damp cloth to wipe off the product. Then let all parts dry completely.

Storage

All parts must be completely dry before being stored.
– If you are not going to use the product for a long period of time, remove the batteries from the keyboard 1 and mouse 7 , and remove the USB receiver 17 from your computer and store it inside the battery compartment of the mouse.
– Always store the product in a dry area.
– Protect the product from direct sunlight.
– Store the product so that it is not accessible to children.

– Please ensure your recycling information applies to local regulations and the EPA recommendations (www.epa.gov).
Batteries and rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with household waste!

As the end user you are required by law to bring all batteries and rechargeable batteries, regardless whether they contain harmful substances or not, to a collection point run by the city, county, or state, or to a retailer, so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
