GUDE 8226-1 Expert Power Control - Fig

Dear customer,
thank you for chosing GUDE. All our devices are developed and manufactured in Germany in order to meet our customers’ expectations towards reliable AV and IT infrastructure.

These instructions will enable you to commission your GUDE unit quickly and easily. More detailed information on operating it can be found in the corresponding user manual. It is available at gude- systems.com/en/generalsupport.
For further questions, please have a look at wiki. gude-systems.com or feel free to contact our service team.

Connect to the power supply

Connect your device to the mains power by plugging in the existing connector to a socket (i.e. power plug, power cord or power supply unit). The status LED shines constantly red.

Connect to the TCP/IP network

Connect your device to the network by plugging in the connector cable to the Ethernet connector. The device searches for a DHCP server and requests an available IP address.
Check the settings of the DHCP server in your network to see which IP address has been assigned. If necessary, make sure that the same IP address is used for each restart. The status LED now briefly lights up orange and then permanently green.
Your unit is now connected to the TCP/IP network and ready for operation.

Set up and use functions

The webinterface is the central control panel of your device (see Fig. 1). You can access it from any PC in the same TCP/IP network.
By accessing the webinterface you can

  • configure all device settings and
  • use all features of your device (e.g. switching power outlets or retrieving sensor values).

You can access the webinterface of your device as follows:

  1. Open the web browser of a PC being in the same network.
  2. Enter the following into the address bar of your web browser: https://“deviceIPaddress“/ (default: 192.168.0.2)
  3. Log in.

If the unit cannot be found at the specified address, use our GBL_Conf configuration programme.
By using GBL_Conf you can

  • see all IP capable GUDE products in your network,
  • configure all network and security settings and
  • restore to default settings.

Set up and use functions with the configuration programm

The most current version of GBL_Conf can be found at gude-systems.com/en /general-support. Download and open the provided file and follow the onscreen instructions.
After successful installation, carry out the following steps:

  1. Open GBL_Conf. All devices found in the network are now displayed in the top left window (see Fig. 2).
  2. Double-click on the device name you are looking for. You will now be automatically redirected to the web interface of the unit in your web browser.

Firmware updates

We recommend that you always run the latest firmware on the unit. This is available for download on our website at gude-systems.com/en/general- support. For further information on installation, please refer to the user manual of the device.
