Product Usage Instructions

Tank Setup

  1. The tank should be positioned close to a PowerPoint, but not too close to prevent water from coming into contact with the PowerPoint.
  2. Choose a position away from direct sunlight and cold drafts to avoid excessive algae growth.
  3. Rinse the tank and components (gravel, plants, etc.) with fresh water only. Do not use soaps or detergents as they could be harmful to your fish.
  4. Place the tank on a flat-level surface, avoiding positioning it on top of other electrical appliances.

Fish Introduction

  • Fish suitable for this tank are small fish such as tetras or 1 betta fish.
  •  Do not add fish immediately after setting up the aquarium. A minimum of 72 hours of cycling is required to allow chemicals and pollutants to dissolve in the water and for good bacteria to grow in the tank.
  • Use a water treatment such as an aquarium conditioner (not included) when adding tap water to the tank. Follow the instructions on the packaging for proper usage. Before adding fish to the aquarium, float the new fish in the bag provided for an hour to adjust the water temperature.
  • For tropical fish and goldfish, it is recommended to use a 50W heater (not included) to maintain a steady temperature.
  • For goldfish, a general guideline is to have 11 liters of water in the tank for every 2.5cm of goldfish length.

Filter Adjustment
The filter can be adjusted using the flow regulator knob (refer to Figure 4) to avoid harming small fish species.

Aquarium Maintenance
Water health and color will determine how often the tank requires maintenance. Generally, maintenance should be carried out every 2-3 weeks.

  • Clean the sponge and carbon filter with water taken from the tank to ensure that good bacteria from the tank are added to the new filters. It is recommended to replace the sponge and carbon filter monthly.
  • Clean the pump and filter cartridge under tap water. 25% of the water should be changed every month and filled with tap water treated with aquarium conditioner.
  • To ensure optimal performance, clean the impeller of the pump every 6 months. Slightly bend the cartridge to separate the impeller housing from the pump. Remove the impeller assembly and clean it under tap water, then reassemble.

Additional Information
Always unplug the filter from its main power supply before undertaking any maintenance, ensuring the plug remains dry.
