Specifications
- Power On / Off : Hold the Power Button for 2-3 seconds or until the LED light flashes blue and the voice prompt states Power on. Hold for 3-4 seconds to power off.

Product Usage Instructions
Powering On / Off
To power on the Turtle Shell 4.0, hold the Power Button for 2-3 seconds
until the LED light flashes blue and the voice prompt confirms power on. To
power off, hold the Power Button for 3-4 seconds until the LED light flashes
red and the voice prompt confirms power off.
Pairing Mode
To enter pairing mode, make sure the device is powered on. Then,
simultaneously hold the + and – buttons for 2-3 seconds until the LED light
flashes blue 3 times and the voice prompt confirms pairing mode.
Transmit Mode
To use transmit mode, turn on TS4 #1 and wait for the voice prompt to
confirm it is on. Then, press and hold the MFB button and the – button
simultaneously until TS4 #1 enters pairing mode.
Receiver Mode
To use receiver mode, turn on TS4 #2 and wait for the voice prompt to
confirm it is on. Then, press and hold the MFB button and the + button
simultaneously until TS4 #2 enters pairing mode.
Manual Pairing Mode
Once TS4 #1 and TS4 #2 are connected, the voice prompt will state “Di”.
Press the + and – buttons to enter manual pairing mode.
Using as a Wireless Headset
The built-in microphone allows the Turtle Shell 4.0 to be used as a
wireless headset. Note that the microphone only works when connected via
Bluetooth.
Telephone Functions
- Answer a call: Press the multifunction button.
- End a call: Press the multifunction button.
- Decline a call: Press and hold the multifunction button for two seconds.
- Make a call: Use your phone to dial as usual.

POWER UP TO CHARGE
For best results, fully charge your Turtle Shell® 4.0 before use!
- Connect the included USB C to a power source and the charging port on the Turtle Shell® 4.0. When charging, the red LED light will stay activated. ***Full charge time is about 4-5 hours.
- When the Turtle Shell® 4.0 is fully charged, the RED light will turn off.
The displayed battery meter is supported for Apple products.
*The Turtle Shell® 4.0’s Bluetooth and music functions can still operate while charging.

PAIRING TO DEVICE
Power On / Off
- ON: Hold the Power Button for 2-3 seconds or until the LED light flashes blue and the voice prompt states “Power on”
- OFF: Hold the Power Button for 3-4 seconds or until the LED light flashes red and the voice prompt states “Power off”
Enter Pairing Mode
When powered on hold the “+” and “-” at the simultaneously for 2-3 seconds or
until you see the LED light flash blue 3 times and the voice prompt states
“Pairing.”
Pairing Turtle Shell 4.0 to Device
Open the Bluetooth settings on your device. If you have put your Turtle Shell®
4.0 into pairing mode, it should be listed as “ODT Turtle Shell® 4.0” as an
available device to pair. Connect with the Turtle Shell® 4.0 and enter “0000”
if prompted. The voice prompt will state “Paired” if the Turtle Shell 4.0 and
your device connect.
SPEAKER TO SPEAKER PAIRING
STEP ONE Transmit Mode
Turn on TS4 #1 and wait till the voice prompt states that the speaker is on.
Then press & hold simultaneously the MFB button and the “-” button. TS4 #1
will then state that it is in pairing mode.
STEP TWO Receiver Mode
Turn on TS4 #2 and wait till the voice prompt states that the speaker is on.
Then press & hold simultaneously the MFB button and the “+” button. TS4 #2
will then state that it is in pairing mode.
STEP THREE
Once TS4 #1 and TS4 #2 are connected, the voice prompt will state “Di.” Then
Press “+” and “-” to enter manual pairing mode.
LISTEN The built-in microphone means that the Turtle Shell 4.0 can be used as a wireless headset.
NOTE: The built-in microphone only works when connected via Bluetooth.
The following are tips on how to use your Turtle Shell 4.0 to speak on the telephone:
- Answer a call……… Press the multifunction button.
- End a call…………… Press the multifunction button.

- button for two seconds.

Hearing Distortion
- Lower the volume on your Turtle Shell® 4.0® and / or phone /device.
- Make sure it’s charged up. Check for low battery, then charge if necessary.
- Not Loud Enough
- Turn up the volume on your phone /device or your Turtle Shell® 4.0.
- Make sure it’s charged up.
- Plug the Turtle Shell in to your phone / device via 3.5mm stereo cable.
- Unable to Pair
- Confirm your phone / device is Blue tooth compatible.
- Re-Pair : Follow pairing instructions in this guide.
- Signal Loss or Dropouts via Bluetooth
- Move Turtle Shell closer to your phone / device.
- Make sure it’s charged up.
- Turn off your Turtle Shell 4.0 and phone / device, then power up and reconnect.
