Installation Instructions
SAFETY WARNING: TURN POWER SUPPLY OFF DURING INSTALLATION.
IF NEW WIRING IS REQUIRED, CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN OR LOCAL AUTHORITY
FOR CODE REQUIREMENTS.
Operation Notes
- This luminaire is designed to be operated with Hinkley approved 12 Volt AC systems or other 9-15 Volt DC systems.
- Full range dim by using MLV-type dimmer control of the 120 VAC side of 12 VAC transformer. PWM dimmer may be used on output side of DC systems. Luminaire Mounting – Direct Surface Mount: Locate desired position for the luminaire. Use luminaire as the template to drill the two mounting holes. Use provided screws to secure backplate.
Luminaire Wiring
- To prevent electrical shock, disconnect transformer from electrical supply before installation or service.
- Run wire to luminaire according to local building practices before installation.
- Use template provided to drill a hole to route the wires.
- Strip the two wire leads from the luminaire and connect to the main supply wire using the wisents. Fill wisents with appropriate silicone to waterproof. (consult wiring instructions from the transformer or power supply).
Cover Installation
Align notch at the top of the cover with the slot in the backplate.
Push bottom of the cover down to snap into place.
For Wet Location Use Silicone around the top and sides
Note on the smaller 15223 the driver is not secured to the backplate but once cover is secured the cover will hold in the backplate.
