Product Usage Instructions

Intended Use
The VC-12/1000A Capacitor Jump Starter is designed to be used as a standalone vehicle battery jump starter. It utilizes a capacitor to capture and store residual energy from a weakened 12V battery and then releases that stored energy to crank start the engine. It is important to note that this product cannot be used on a battery with a voltage of less than 6V. Please only use the product for its intended purpose as described in the user manual to avoid any damage or hazards.

Safety Precautions
Before using the VC-12/1000A Capacitor Jump Starter, please ensure you read and understand the following safety precautions:

  • Electrical Safety: Always turn off the vehicle engine and electronics before connecting or disconnecting the product. Failure to do so may result in entanglement, burns, or other injuries. Avoid loose clothing and keep away from the starter battery.
  • Proper Voltage: Test the battery voltage before providing jump-start assistance. The battery voltage should be less than 13.8V for safe operation.
  • Low Voltage Protection: Ensure that the battery to be jump-started has a voltage greater than 6V. If the battery voltage is lower, do not proceed with jump-starting.
  • High Voltage Protection: Do not attempt to jump-start a battery with a voltage higher than 13.8V. Test the battery voltage before providing jump-start assistance.

Product Components
The VC-12/1000A Capacitor Jump Starter includes the following components:

  • LCD-Bildschirm (LCD Screen)
  • Einschalttaste (Power Button)
  • Kabelklemmen (Cable Clamps)

LCD Status Indicator
The VC-12/1000A Capacitor Jump Starter features an LCD status indicator that provides important information about the battery and charging status. The indicator includes the following:

  • Batteriespannung (Battery Voltage): Displays the current voltage of the battery being jump-started.
  • A die Batterie angeschlossen (Connected to Battery): Indicates whether the jump starter is properly connected to the battery.
  • Ladezustand des Kondensators (Capacitor Charging Status): This shows the charging status of the capacitor. It displays “LOW” when the capacitor needs charging and “READY” when it is fully charged.

Operation
To use the VC-12/1000A Capacitor Jump Starter, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure the vehicle engine and electronics are turned off.
  2. Connect the cable clamps to the corresponding battery terminals (red clamp to positive terminal, black clamp to negative terminal).
  3. Press the Einschalttaste (Power Button) to activate the jump starter.
  4. The LCD screen should turn on and display the battery voltage. If it does not, refer to the troubleshooting section.
  5. If the LCD screen shows “READY,” proceed to start the vehicle engine. If it shows “LOW,” the capacitor needs charging. Repeat steps 2-3 after charging the capacitor.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with the VC-12/1000A Capacitor Jump Starter, refer to the following troubleshooting codes:

  • Code F01: The voltage of the battery to be jump-started is too high. Test the battery voltage, it should be less than 13.8V.
