  • DO NOT expose the probe to open fire(flame) or other objects with a temperature exceeding 482°F, otherwise the probe or the unit will be damaged. If the probe or the unit is damaged, please buy a new probe to replace or contact us via email/phone.
  • We DO NOT recommend that using this leave-in-style probe for high heat grilling, since flare-ups temperature can be over 1000°F which will damage the probe. If still use ii in a high heat situation, please separate probe and cable from flare-ups, grill lids, grill grates or other hot spots with high temperature over 482°F.

Quick Temperature Setting

  • Open the battery compartment and insert two new 1.5V AAA batteries (not included), ensure that the battery polarities are correct, close the battery compartment.
  • Set the switch on the back of the thermometer to “COOK”. You will hear a “di di di” sound. The thermometer is converted to standard mode.
  • Plug the probes into the device socket to get ready for using ii. (Note: if cooking temperature exceeds or falls below the measurable ranges, the LCD screen will display the following letters: HHH for temperatures above range and LLL for temperature below range.)
  • Press button to select either P1 or P2. The selected probe will be displayed in the upper left corner of the product screen.
  • Press button to choose food types and doneness levels. There are 7 selections, as shown in the following figure.

  • When the cooking temperature is equal to or higher than the set temperature, the alarm will beep. You could press any button on the LCD screen to pause the beep for 30 seconds. If the probe remains in the cooking food, the alarm will beep again when the cooking temperature reaches the set temperature. To turn off the alarm, please pull out the probe to end the temperature measurement.
    ( Note: To avoid overcooking caused by customers’ forgetfulness, the alarm can’t be completely turned off by pressing a button.)

Manual Temperature Setting

  • Set the switch on the back of the thermometer to “COOK”.
  • To customize the alert temperature, press button to select either P1 or P2.
  • Press button once, will be displayed on the screen. Continue to press button until it shows (I,.
  • Press and button to set desired alert temp( stands for+, stands for -). When alert temperature stops flashing, the thermometer ends custom temperature setting.
  • Quick setting: Press and hold the or button for fast temperature setting. Release the or button to stop the quick setting.

Countdown Timer

  • Set the switch on the back of the thermometer to “TIMER”.
  • Press button to set the minutes and button to set seconds. If you need to reset the time, press and button at the same time to clear it.
  • Quick setting: Press and hold the or button for fast minutes or seconds setting. Release the or button to stop the quick setting.
  • When the timer setting is completed, press button to turn on the countdown function, countdown to 00MIN:00SEC.
  • You can pause the timer when it is running by pressing button. Press button again to restart the timer. When the timer pauses, if you want to clear the timer, you can press and at the same time to clear it.
  • The alarm will sound and the LCD screen will flash when countdown is completed. Press any button to stop the timer alarm.

Countup Timer

  • Set the switch on the back of the thermometer to ” TIMER “
  • In alarm mode, when it displays 00: 00, press button to start count up timer. Press it again to pause the timer. The alarm will sound when it is reaching 999 MIN:59 SEC.
  • When the timer pauses, if you want to clear the timer, you can press and at the same time to clear it.

Use & Maintenance

  • Always wear a heat resistant glove or an oven mitt when touching the metal probe during or just after cooking.
  • Keep the probe away from children.
  • Sterilize the probe each time before use. Keep it clean with a damp cloth, DO NOT wash in a dishwasher or use abrasive materials.
  • DO NOT expose the thermometer to water, direct heat, a hot surface or direct sunlight for an extended period of time.
  • DO NOT mix old batteries and new batteries or batteries with different brands. We recommend you to use genuine alkaline batteries.

Take out the probe from high temperature place at once and cool it down, only use this thermometer within normal work-temp range 32°F to 482°F ( 0°c to 250°C).

Unplug the probe and re-insert probe into the
thermometer completely.

The cook temp displays “LLL”.

  • The measuring temperature is below 32°F (0°C).
  • The probe socket is damaged.
  • Unplug the probe and re-insert probe into the thermometer completely.
  • Take out the probe from low temperature at once, and then only use this thermometer within normal work-temp range 32°F to 482°F0°C to 250°C).

Can’t stop the alarm.
