Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Check Parts

Before proceeding with the installation, ensure that all parts are present. Refer to the labeled pictures on Page 2 for clarity. If any parts are missing, do not proceed with the installation.

Step 2: Torque Settings

Use the following torque settings when tightening bolts:

  • M4 Bolt: 8Nm
  • M5 Bolt: 12Nm
  • M6 Bolt: 15Nm
  • M8 Bolt: 20Nm
  • M10 Bolt: 40Nm
  • M12 Bolt: 40Nm

Step 3: Mounting Instructions

Please note that the way the kit is packed may not represent the way of mounting to the bike. Follow the instructions below:

  1. Position the OCG0049 Oil Cooler Guard on the designated area of your bike.
  2. Insert the Rubber Grommets into the corresponding holes on the Oil Cooler Guard.

Step 4: Final Steps

Once you have mounted the Oil Cooler Guard and inserted the Rubber Grommets, make sure all components are securely fastened. Double-check the torque settings to ensure proper tightness.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WAY THE KIT IS PACKED DOES NOT NECESSARILY REPRESENT THE WAY OF MOUNTING TO THE BIKE. IN THE EVENT OF RUBBER WASHERS BEING USED TO HOLD COMPONENTS ONTO BOLTS, THESE RUBBER WASHERS CAN BE THROWN AWAY.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Push the 4x rubber grommets (Item 2) into the 4x holes in the corners of the oil cooler guard (Item 1) making sure the pointed ends of the grommets are facing OUTWARDS (towards the front wheel when the guard is installed).
  • Remove the RHS & LHS fairing, refer to the owner’s manual if necessary.
  • Remove the 2x bolts joining the radiator guard to the oil cooler, as shown in Picture 1.
  • Slide the lower hooks over the underside of the oil cooler, as shown in Picture 2.S1000R-Series-Oil-Cooler-Guard-fig-1
  • Position the oil cooler guard tabs between the radiator and oil cooler joining points as shown in Picture 3.
  • Secure with the original bolts & refit all panels

On return of any defective Products R&G shall at its option either supply a replacement or refund the purchase money but shall not be liable if the Products have been modified or used or maintained otherwise than in accordance with R&G’s or manufacturer’s instructions and good engineering practice or if the defect arises from accident or neglect. Other than identified above and subject to R&G not limiting its liability for causing death and personal injury, it shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss and otherwise its liability shall be limited to the amounts paid by the Buyer for the Products or the fitting or service concerned. These terms do not affect the Buyer’s statutory rights.

R &G RACING RETURNS POLICY (NON-FAULTY GOODS)
Returns must be pre-authorised (if not pre-authorised the return will be rejected). Goods may only be returned directly to us if they were purchased directly from us (customer must prove if necessary). Otherwise to be returned to the original vendor. Goods must be in re-sellable condition, in the opinion of R&G Racing. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking and handling fee (25% of the gross value exc. P&P – at the prevailing price at the time of purchase). The customer must pay any and all carriage charges. No returns of discontinued products, unless within 14 days of purchase. This policy does not affect your statutory rights and does not refer to faulty good
