Remove dirt tank and filter cup by flipping lock switch left

Empty dirt tank
- Pull out from base of vacuum and empty over trash container

Turn machine on
-
Check for suction at motor duct
- If no suction, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
- If there is suction, continue troubleshooting

Clean filters
- Pre-motor filters can be washed in warm water with mild dish soap
- Only foam and sponge filters are washable
- Allow filters to completely dry before reinstalling
- Replace as needed
- The pleated post-motor filter cannot be washed
- Replace as needed

Replace dirt tank
- Tank should sit flush with no gaps (move lock lever to the right to lock in place)
- Tank must be securely locked in place to prevent blowing dust

Check for suction at end of upholstery hose
- Pull hose up from lower wand base
- Turn machine on and hold hand over hose

If no suction at end of hose
- Remove hose from back of machine
- Inspect entire length of hose and both ends for damage
- Replace if it has holes, rips, or damage
- Run broomstick through hose to clear clogs

Check lower hose for clogs
- Unplug machine
- Remove screw connecting lower hose to lower back of machine
- Pull the lower hose to straighten
- Push broomstick through to clear clogs
- Debris will be pushed toward brush roll
- Brush cover plate should be removed to clean debris
- If still no suction, visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
