General power tool safety warnings
WARNING! Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and
specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all
instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious
injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded)
power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
2.1 Battery tool use and care
a. Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger
that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when
used with another battery pack.
b. Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any
other battery packs may create a risk of injury andfire.
c. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects,
like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects,
that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting thebattery
terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
d. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid
contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts
eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may
cause irritation or burns.
e. Do not use a battery pack or tool that is damaged or modified. Damaged or
modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting in fire,
explosion or risk of injury.
f. Do not expose a battery pack or tool to fire or excessive temperature.
Exposure to fire or temperature above 130 °C may cause explosion.
g. Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or tool
outside the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging
improperly or at temperatures outside the specified range may damage the
battery and increase the risk of fire.
2.2 Service
a. Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only
identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power
tool is maintained.
b. Never service damaged battery packs. Service of battery packs should only
be performed by the manufacturer or authorized service providers.
c. Integrated batteries may only be removed for disposal by qualified
personnel.
Additional safety instructions for soldering irons

Intended use
The cordless soldering iron is suitable for soldering electronic components. This appliance is designed for domestic use. All other applications are specifically excluded.
Assembly
The soldering tip must be mounted before initial use.
Make sure that the soldering iron is turned off and cold.
5.1 Soldering iron base
- Place the soldering iron base (5) on the table/ flat surface.
- Put the soldering iron (3) into the base (5).
- Ensure that it is firmly placed.
- Fit the sponge (6) on the soldering iron base (5) and lightly moisten the sponge with some tap water.
Tip! Make sure to absorb the sponge (6) in water befored using the soldering iron (3) and always keep the sponge damp during use.
5.2 Installing /replacing soldering tip
Make sure that the soldering iron is turned off and cold.
- To install the soldering tip, hold the soldering iron and screw the soldering tip tightly into the soldering tip holder.
- To replace the soldering tip, unscrew the soldering tip that is already inserted and take it off, then screw the new soldering tip into the soldering tip holder.
Operation
The battery must be charged before first use.
6.1 Charging the machine
The device cannot be used while it is being charged.
- Plug the charger cable (included) into an adapter (not included).
- Plug the charger cable into the machine.
- Plug the charger plug into an electrical outlet and wait for a while. The LED indication light will lighten up and show the charging status.
- Note: the machine can also be charged by connecting the charger cable to a suitable USB outlet. Fully charging the battery may take up to 2 – 3 hours.
If the LED indicator light (9) is flashing, when this happens there is problem with the battery. Stop charging immediately and consult a qualified electrician or a service workshop.
6.2 Switching on and off
Caution, danger of burns! Do not touch the hot soldering tip
When starting work:
a. Take out the soldering iron (3) from the soldering iron base (5).
b. Hold the soldering iron in your hand like a pen.
c. Press the on/off switch (4) to turn on the machine, the LED indicator light
(9) and the LED working lights (10) will turn on to bright up the working
area.

e. If the soldering iron head is not used for a period of time, the soldering
iron will automatically shut down after 10 minutes. The LED indicator light
(9) and the LED working lights (10) will turn off.
f. To continue using the soldering iron, repeat step b to d.
6.3 Switching off:
-
Press the on/off switch (4) to turn off the machine.
Make sure that the hot soldering tip (1) does not touch anything until it has cooled down. -
Cleaning the solder tip on the wet sponge (6)
-
Put the soldering iron back on the soldering iron base (5)
6.4 Working Instructions
- To obtain a perfect soldering point, the soldering point must be completely clean and free of grease.
- Before initial use, the soldering tip must be tin-coated, i.e., coated with soldering tin. Only good tin coating ensures perfect soldering and heat transfer.
- Make sure that the soldering tip is always clean and free of scaling and excess soldering tin. Clean the soldering tip regularly with a wet sponge. Never use a file for this purpose.
- Before soldering, establish a mechanical connection between the metals which are to be connected together if possible. For example, twist the wires together so that they do not slip. In this way you will obtain stable soldering points and avoid heat damage through excessive soldering.
- For the soldering of two metals, hold the soldering tip on the connection point and briefly add some solder. The solder melts and flows into the soldering point. If the tin has spread, remove the soldering iron, and allow the soldering point to cool down without vibrations. Never heat solder directly and do not use too much solder.
- In the case of electronic components, the parts to be soldered must not be heated too much in order to avoid damage.
- Place the soldering tip on a heat-resistant surface or insert it into the base during working.
- Cleaning the solder tip on the wet sponge after work and put the soldering iron back into the base.
Maintenance
Repairs may only be carried out by a qualified electrician or at a service
workshop!
These machines have been designed to operate over a long period of time with a
minimum of maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper
machine care and regular cleaning.
7.1 Cleaning
Never use solvents such as petrol, alcohol, ammonia water, etc. These solvents
may damage the plastic parts.
Do not spray the appliance with water and do not immerse it in water. Electric
shock hazard!
Do not use cleaning agents or solvents. You may otherwise irreparably damage
the appliance.
- Wipe off the warm soldering tip (1) after use on a damp sponge.
- Never scrape or file any solder residues off the soldering tip with hard objects, as this will damage the soldering tip (1).
- It is recommended to melt a little solder on the surface of the soldering tip after cleaning the soldering tip (1) to prevent oxidation of the soldering tip during storage and prolong the service life of the product.
