SAFETY INFORMATION

GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION

To reduce the risk of serious injury, read and follow the safety instructions below before assembling and using this product.

NOTE:

  • This product is intended for indoor use only.
  • This product is not designed for commercial nor industrial usage.

CAUTION!

  • WORKPRO pegboards are designed to be mounted directly into wood studs (or through drywall into studs) with the screws provided and drywall (sheetrock) with anchors and screws included. Attachment with the included screws to any other surface is not recommended without utilizing proper anchors or otherwise consulting with a knowledgeable hardware representative prior to installation.
  • Mounting to surfaces other than studs or drywall is typically fairly similar and simple. It might only require a trip to your local hardware store for the correct fasteners.
  • Due to sheet metal edges, WORKPRO strongly recommends the use of gloves while installing metal pegboards.
  • Do not exceed 165lbs (75kgs) per pegboard of evenly distributed weight, or else it may result in product damage or physical injury. Be aware of dynamic loading! Sudden load movement may briefly create excess load causing product failure.
  • The wall must be capable of supporting the combined weight of the garage rack and your stuff. Otherwise, the structure and weight capacity of the wall must be reinforced.
  • This product contains small items that could be a choking hazard if swallowed. Keep these items away from young children.
  • Proper tools must be used. A minimum of two people are required for this installation. Failure to install properly can result in property damage or serious injury. Check joint parts every two months, making sure the screws have not loosened.
  • Make sure these instructions are read and completely understood before attempting installation. If you are unsure of any part of this installation, please contact a professional installer for assistance.

WARNING!

  • DO NOT drill through electrical wiring during installation.
  • Always wear eye protection and hearing protection which complies with current ANSI Standards.
  • Always disconnect power source before using tools on electrical boxes, fittings or any workpiece that may conduct electricity. Electric shock or electrocution could result.

INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY

WORKPRO pegboards are designed to be mounted directly into wood studs (or through drywall into studs) with the screws provided and drywall (sheetrock) with anchors and screws included.

NOTE:
Mounting to surfaces other than studs or drywall is typically fairly similar and simple. It might only require a trip to your local hardware store for the correct fasteners.

CAUTION!
Due to sheet metal edges, WORKPRO strongly recommends the use of gloves while installing metal pegboards.

SINGLE

OPTION 1: ATTACH THE PEGBOARD TO WOOD STUDS (OR THROUGH DRYWALL INTO STUDS)

  • Align edge of pegboard with centerline of stud if possible, otherwise utilize included drywall anchors for installation. If mounting into studs through drywall, use a stud finder to locate the stud center.
  • Mark the mounting hole positions on wall or stud with a pencil.
  • Remove the pegboard and drill 1/8″ (3mm) diameter pilot holes using 1/8″ (3mm) drill at the center of each marked positions for provided mounting screws for stud.
  • On all holes where a stud is not accessible, the provided plastic anchors can be utilized in lieu of contact with a stud. Mark the hole position and drill a 5/16″ (8mm) diameter hole that can accom- modate the anchor used.
  • Attach the pegboard to wall with #3.5x60mm Screw (AA), anchor (BB) & #4x50mm screws (CC) provided.

NOTE:

  • Do not fully tighten screws until all screws have been started and the pegboard is level.

    NOTE:
    If possible, align pegboard joint on center line of the stud (for conventional 16in studs pacing it is
    possible to anchor to studs along the length of the install if studs are true 16in on center and the
    first panel is aligned along the center line of the first stud).

OPTION 2: ATTACH THE PEGBOARD TO DRYWALL

  • Confirm the suitable installation position according to your actual need.
  • Mark the mounting hole positions on drywall with a pencil.
  • Remove the pegboard and drill 5/16″ (8mm) diameter holes at the center of each marked positions to accommodate the anchors provided.
  • Put the anchors (BB) into the holes.
  • Attach the pegboard to wall with # 3.5x60mm screws (AA) provided.

NOTE:

  • Stripping out the mounting holes in drywall with the screws included create a perfect sized hole to hammer the provided anchors into.
  • Do not fully tighten screws until all screws have been started and the pegboard is level.

“PUZZLE-FIT” TOGETHER

  • Confirm the suitable installation position according to your actual need.
  • Install the first steel pegboard on all holes with the screws (CC) or screws (AA) & Anchors (BB) provided as your mounting surfaces.
  • Insert the tabs of next pegboad on one side into the first pegboard on the other side, and then secure tabs on the remaining three sides of next pegboard with screws included.
  • Repeat the above to install the third pegboard.

NOTE:
Take the top or bottom edge of the first pegboard as the horizontal baseline.

  • Align the baseline of the second pegboard horizontally with the previous one by adjusting the height gap using a cross laser line or level tools, which helps to void inaccurate alignment due to accumulated dimensional errors.

INSTALLATION TIP

Step 1:
Insert the second pegboard.

INSTALLATION OPTIONS

The pegboard allows for various combinations. Attach them at your desired position as you need.
