Assembly Precautions

  1. Assemble only according to these instructions. Improper assembly can create hazards.
  2. Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and heavy-duty work gloves during assembly.
  3. Keep the assembly area clean and well-lit.
  4. Keep bystanders out of the area during assembly.
  5. Do not assemble when tired or when under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
  6. Weight capacity and other product capabilities apply to properly and completely assembled products only.

Use Precautions

  1. This product is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with or near this item.
  2.  Setup and use indoors only. Keep dry.
  3. Do not overtighten the workpiece; damage to the workpiece may occur. Be careful not to pinch your fingers when working.
  4. Locate Workbench on a flat, level, solid surface that is capable of supporting the weight of the workpiece, Workbench, and tools.
  5. Use as intended only.
  6. Replace bulb only with the same bulb size and rating.
  7. Inspect before every use; do not use if parts are loose or damaged.
  8. Do not exceed listed weight capacity, evenly distributed Be aware of dynamic loading! The sudden load movement may briefly create excess load causing product failure.
  9. Maintain product labels and nameplates. These carry important safety information.
  10. People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before use. Electromagnetic fields in close proximity to the heart pacemaker could cause pacemaker interference or pacemaker failure
  11. WARNING: Handling the cord on this product will expose you to lead, a chemical is known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.
  12. The pegboard is designed for hooks the diameter of wire is less than 3.7mm(9/64″).

GROUNDING

WARNING
TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK AND DEATH FROM INCORRECT GROUNDING WIRE CONNECTION: Check with a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded. Do not modify the power cord plug provided with the tool. Never remove the grounding prong from the plug. Do not use the tool if the power cord or plug is damaged. If damaged, have it repaired by a service facility before use. If the plug will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
Grounded Tools: Tools with Three Prong Plugs

  1. WORKPRO 6713 Multi Purpose Workbench with Work Light - fig1 Tools marked with “Grounding Required” have a three-wire cord and three-prong grounding plug. The plug must be connected to a properly grounded outlet. If the tool should electrically malfunction or break down, grounding provides a low resistance path to carry electricity away from the user, reducing the risk of electric shock. (See 3-Prong Plug and Outlet.)
  2. The grounding prong in the plug is connected through the green wire inside the cord to the grounding system in the tool. The green wire in the cord must be the only wire connected to the tool’s grounding system and must never be attached to an electrically live” terminal. (See 3-Prong Plug and Outlet.)
  3. The tool must be plugged into an appropriate outlet, properly installed, and grounded in accordance with all codes and ordinances. The plug and outlet should look like those in the preceding illustration. (See 3-Prong Plug and Outlet.)

  • Use adequate manpower when assembling and moving this unit. Failure to do so may cause personal injury or product damage.
  • DO NOT mount this product on a truck bed or any other moving object. This may cause personal injury or product damage.
  • Appropriately secure this product before moving it with a forklift.
  • DO NOT alter this product in any manner. This may cause damage or personal injury.
  • Keep the product on level surfaces The product may become unstable and tip if stored or moved on an un-level surface, which may cause personal injury or product damage. • Be sure to secure the unit to a studded or concrete wall. Failure to do so may cause the unit to become unstable and tip. This may cause personal injury or product damage.
  • The maximum combined weight limit is not to exceed 558 lb (253 kg). If the limit is exceeded, the product could collapse and cause personal injury or product damage. Lower heavy loads onto the worktop gently to avoid excessive impacts on the worktop.
  • The maximum weight for each drawer should be no more than 25Ib (11.4 kg) in the larger drawer and 25 lb (11.4kg) in the 3 smaller drawers.
  • The maximum weight allowed to hang on or be in any way supported from the pegboard is 45 lb (20.2 kg). If this limit is exceeded the product may tip and cause personal injury or product damage.
  • The maximum weight allowed on the top shelf should not exceed 44 lb (19.8 kg).
  • DO NOT use excessive force to open and close drawers.

MAINTENANCE

  • Lubricate the slides with grease or equivalent (twice yearly).
  • The drawer fronts, drawer trim, and other surfaces should be cleaned periodically with a mild detergent and water.
  • Auto wax will preserve the unit’s luster finish. Apply the wax as you would to a car. The wax will also help protect the unit against scratches.
  • Grease and oil can be removed with most standard cleaning fluids. For safety, use nonflammable cleaning fluid.

WARRANTY

This Mastercraft product carries a one-year warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. This product is not guaranteed against wear or breakage due to misuse and/or abuse.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

** Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this document including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.
Note:** Unless stated otherwise, all connections are made using Bolts and Nuts (B). Finger tighten all connections until assembly is done. Assemble the Workbench on a flat, level, hard surface.

  1. Assemble protector cap (26×2) at the end of the post (1L) and (2L). Align holes on cross bracing (3L) and (4L) to table legs (1 L) and (2L).
    Insert (M x 8) bolts through matching holes as shown above – four bolts per cross bracing.
    Fasten with nuts (BB x 8).
    Do not overtighten.

  2. Assemble protector cap (26×2) at the end of the post (1L) and (2L). Align holes on cross bracing (3R) and (4R) to table legs (1R) and (2R).
    Insert (AA x 8) bolts through matching holes as shown above – four bolts per cross bracing.
    Fasten with nuts (BB x 8).
    Do not overtighten.

  3. Align holes from cross bracing pieces (5 and 8) to the complete table legends from the previous steps. Ensure labels on pieces (5 and 8) have arrows facing up and square holes are on the top. Insert (AA x 2) bolts through left and right side of lower front cross bracings (5) – Fasten with nuts (BB x 2). Repeat for lower back cross bracing (8).
    Repeat steps for top cross bracing pieces (6 and 7) – Ensure labels on pieces (6 and 7) have arrows facing up and round holes are on the top.
    Do not overtighten.
    Note: Unless stated otherwise, all connections are made using Bolts (MM), and Nuts(NN).

  4. Take the pegboard (11) and place it against the back of the table frame so that the power bar hole (PB) is on the bottom right as shown above. Align screw holes of pegboard (11) against the holes of the table frame. Taking the left and right pegboard frames (10L and 10R), sandwich the pegboard between (1 L) and (10L). Repeat this procedure, sandwiching pegboard between (1R) and (10R). Fasten the pegboard frame against the frame of the table by using (M x 2, MM x 5) bolts and (BB x 2, NN x 5) nuts on each side.
    Do not overtighten.

  5. Align pre-drilled holes on the bottom of the tabletop to the round holes of the table frame. Using (JJ x 10) wood screws, fasten tabletop (12) to the frame of the table.
    Tighten screws using a screwdriver.
    Do not overtighten.

  6. Take center wall left (9L), with drawer rails facing to the left of the table, and take center wall right (9R), with rails facing to the right of the table. Fasten to frame of table using (AA x 8) Bolts and (BB x 8) Nuts.
    Do not overtighten.

  7. With drawer rails facing inward, take left drawer frame (13L) and right drawer frame (13R), fasten to body of frame using (AA x 8) bolts and (BB x 8) Nuts.
    Do not overtighten.

  8. Align holes of the right side shelf bracing (14R), and match them to the pegboard frame (10R). Fasten using (AA x 3) bolts and (BB x 3) nuts.
    Do not overtighten.

  9. Align holes of the left side shelf bracing (14L), and match them to the pegboard frame (10L).
    Fasten using (AA x 3) bolts and (BB x 3) nuts.
    Do not overtighten.

  10. Align the holes of the bottom of the shelving unit (15) and match them to the side shelf bracing (14L) and (14R).
    Fasten using (AA x 4) bolts and (BB x 4) nuts.
    Do not overtighten.

  11. Take the middle shelf divider (16) and align holes with the bottom shelving. Fasten using (M x 2) bolts and (BB x 2) nuts.
    Take the left middle shelf divider rail (16A) and align it with the right middle shelf divider rail (16B) making sure the middle shelf divider (16) is in between. Fasten using (M x 2) bolts and (BB x 2) nuts.
    Do not overtighten.

  12. Take the upper shelf (17) and lay it flat so that it is resting on top of the shelf divider. Align holes of the upper shelf (17) to match the left and right side shelf bracing. Take (AA x 3) bolts and insert them into the left shelf bracing – fasten with (BB x 3) nuts. Repeat the previous step to attach the upper shelf (17) to the right shelf bracing. Take (M x 2) bolts and insert them into the top part of the shelf divider – fasten with (BB x 2) nuts.
    Do not overtighten.
    NOTE: Please tighten all fasteners on the workbench upon completion of Step 12.

  13. Take the top right door (18R) and place it onto the rail of the middle shelf divider (16). Ensure that the wheel is resting on the rail of the middle shelf divider.
    You may have to insert the door (18R) at an angle to ensure it sits securely on the rail of the middle shelf divider.

  14. Take the right shelf rail (19R) and fit it onto the wheel of the top right door (right side). Lifting both the right shelf rail (19R) and the top right door (18R), align the holes of (19R) with the holes of the right side shelf bracing (14R). Fasten 19R to 14R with (AA x 2) Bolts, with (BB x 2) Nuts.
    Do not overtighten.

  15. Take the top left door (18L) and place it onto the rail of the middle shelf divider (16). Ensure that the wheel is resting on the rail of the middle shelf divider.
    You may have to insert the door on an angle to ensure it sits securely on the rail of the middle shelf divider.

  16. Take the left shelf rail (19L) and fit it onto the wheel of the top left door (left side). Lifting both the left shelf rail (19L) and the top left door (18L), align the holes of (19L) with the holes of the left side shelf bracing (14L).
    Fasten 19L to 14L with (M x 2) Bolts, with (BB x 2) Nuts
    Do not over tighten.

  17. Rest the drawer backing (20) on top of the pegboard (11). Take (MM x 4) Bolts and place them through pegboard frames (10L) and (10R).
    Fasten and tighten with (NN x 4) Nuts.
    Do not overtighten.

  18. Align the holes of the pegboard support bar (21) to the holes of the cross-bracing piece (7) as well as the upper shelf (17).
    Insert (AA & MM x 2) Bolts through holes and fasten using with (BB & NN x 2) Nuts.
    Do not over tighten.

  19. Fasten the two light brackets directly onto the pegboard (11) using (GG x 2) Screws
    Do not overtighten.
    Carefully snap the light directly onto brackets.
    REPLACING BULB: Use only a 7 W replacement bulb.

  20. Insert (KK x 2) bolts through two adjacent peg-hole that you want to hang on the power bar, secure with (HH x 2) nuts but do not tighten them. Hang on the power bar through the slots on the backside. Fasten power bar with (LL x2) Washers and (I-1H x 2) Nuts.
    Do not over tighten.

  21. DRAWER ASSEMBLY

SMALL(x1)

  1.  Align holes of the front drawer (A1) with the left and right side of drawer (A3 & A4). Insert (DD x 2) Botts per side. Fasten using (FF x 2) Lock Washer and (EE x 2) Nut

  2. Align holes of rear drawer (A2) with left and right side of drawer (A3 & A4). Insert (DD x 2) Botts per side. Fasten using (FF x 2) Lock Washer and (EE x 2) Nut. A

  3. Tighten all fasteners –
    Do not overtighten.

  4. Insert drawer (24) bottom so that it rests on lip of the drawers.

MEDIUM (x2)

  1. WORKPRO 6713 Multi Purpose Workbench with Work Light - fig14 Align holes of the front drawer (B1) with the left and right side of the drawer (B3 & B4). Insert (DD x 2) Botts per side. Fasten using (FF x 2) Lock Washer and (EE x 2) NuL

  2. Align holes of rear drawer (B2) with left and right side of drawer (B3 & B4). Insert (DD x 2) Bolts per side. Fasten using (FF x 2) Lock Washer and (EE x 2) Nut.

  3. Tighten all fasteners –
    **Do not overtighten.

  4. Insert drawer (24) bottom so that it rests on lip of drawers.

LARGE (x1)

  1. WORKPRO 6713 Multi Purpose Workbench with Work Light - fig16 Align holes of the front drawer (D1) with the left and right sides of the drawer (03 & D4). Insert (DD x 2) Bolts per side. Fasten using (FF x 2) Lock Washer and (EE x 2) Nut.

  2. Align holes of rear drawer (D2) with left and right side of drawer (D3 & D4). Insert (DD x 2) Bolts per side. Fasten using (FF x 2) Lock Washer and (EE x 2) Nut.

  3. Tighten all fasteners –
    Do not over tighten.

  4. Insert drawer (24) bottom so that it rests on lip of the drawers.

22 INSTALLING DRAWERS
Empty the drawer and fully extend it before removing it.

fig18Lift or lower (depending on the slide) the release lever on both sides. Slowly pull the drawer out to remove it from the table.

fig19To reinstall, align the drawer rails and slowly push the drawer into the table until the drawer stops.
23 SECURING WORKBENCH
Workbench MUST be attached to a studded or concrete wall. Failure to do so may cause personal injury or product damage. Only use material appropriate hardware per your local building codes. Failure to do so may cause personal injury or product damage.

fig20Insert mounting hardware through the pre-drilled hole in Peg Board Support Bar (21). Use appropriate hardware only.
Do not overtighten.

MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING

Procedures not specifically explained in this manual must be performed only by a qualified technician.
WARNING
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM ACCIDENTAL OPERATION: Make sure that the Trigger is in the off position and unplug the tool from its electrical outlet before performing any procedure in this section.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM TOOL FAILURE: Do not use damaged equipment. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before further use.
Cleaning, Maintenance, and Lubrication

  1. BEFORE EACH USE , inspect the general condition of the Workbench. Check for:
    • loose hardware,
    • misalignment or binding of moving parts,
    • damaged cord/electrical wiring,
    • cracked or broken parts, and
    • any other condition that may affect its safe operation.

  2. AFTER USE, wipe external surfaces with a clean cloth.
