IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Assembly Precautions
  1.  Assemble only according to these instructions. Improper assembly can create hazards.
  2. Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and heavy-duty work gloves during assembly.
  3. Keep assembly area dean and well lit.
  4. Keep bystanders out of the area during assembly.
  5. Do not assemble when tired or when under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
  6. Weight capacity and other product capabilities apply to properly and completely assembled products only.
Use Precautions
  1. This product is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with or near this item.
  2. Setup and use indoors only. Keep dry.
  3. Do not overtighten the workpiece; damage to the workpiece may occur. Be careful not to pinch fingers when working
  4. Locate Workbench on a flat, level, solid surface that is capable of supporting the weight of the workpiece, Workbench and tools.
  5. Use as intended only.
  6. Replace light fixtures only with the same light fixture size and rating.
  7. Inspect before every use: do not use if parts are loose or damaged.
  8. Do not exceed listed weight capacity, evenly distributed Be aware of dynamic loading! The sudden load movement may briefly create excess load causing product failure.
  9. Maintain product labels and nameplates. These carry important safety information.
  10. People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before use. Electromagnetic fields in close proximity to the heart pacemakers could cause pacemaker interference or pacemaker failure.
  11. WARNING: Handling the cord on this product will expose you to lead, a chemical is known to the State of California to cause cancer, and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.
  12. The pegboard is designed for hooks that diameter of wire is less than 3.7mm(9/64″).
Grounding

WARNING

TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK AND DEATH FROM INCORRECT GROUNDING
WIRE CONNECTION:
Check with a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded.
Do not modify the power cord plug provided with the tool. Never remove the grounding prong from the plug. Do not use the tool if the power cord or plug is damaged. If damaged, have it repaired by a service facility before use. If the plug will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.

Grounded Tools: Tools with Three Prong Plugs

WORKPRO Multi purpose Workbench with - 2

  1. Tools marked with “Grounding Required” have a three-wire cord and three-prong grounding plug. The plug must be connected to a properly grounded outlet.
if the tool should electrically malfunction or break down, grounding provides a low resistance path to carry electricity away from the user, reducing the risk of electric shock. (See ****3-Prong Plug and Outlet.)

  2. The grounding prong in the plug is connected through the green wire inside the cord to the grounding system in the tool. The green wire in the cord must be the only wire connected to the tool’s grounding system and must never be attached to an electrically live” terminal. (See 3-Prong Plug and Outlet.)

  3. The tool must be plugged into an appropriate outlet, properly installed, and grounded in accordance with all codes and ordinances. The plug and outlet should look like those in the preceding illustration. (See 3-Prong Plug and Outlet.)

Double Insulated Tools: Tools with Two Prong Plugs

WORKPRO Multi purpose Workbench with - 3

  1. Tools marked “Double Insulated” do not require grounding. They have a special double insulation system that satisfies OSHA requirements and complies with the applicable standards of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., the Canadian Standard Association, and the National Electrical Code.
  2. Double insulated tools may be used in either of the 120-volt outlets shown in the preceding illustration. ( See Outlets for 2-Prong Plug.)

Extension Cords

  1. Grounded tools require a three-wire extension cord. Double Insulated tools can use either a two or three-wire extension cord.

  2. As the distance from the supply outlet increases, you must use a heavier gauge extension cord. Using extension cords with inadequately sized wire causes a serious drop in voltage, resulting in loss of power and possible tool damage. (See Table A.)

  3. The smaller the gauge number of the wire, the greater the capacity of the cord. For example, a 14 gauge cord can carry a higher current than a 16 gauge cord. ****(See Table A.)

  4. When using more than one extension cord to make up the total length, make sure each cord contains at least the minimum wire size required. (See Table A.) If you are using one extension cord for more than one tool, add the nameplate amperes and use the sum to determine the required minimum cord size. (See Table A.)

  5. If you are using an extension cord outdoors, make sure it is marked with the suffix “NINA” (“W’ in Canada) to indicate it is acceptable for outdoor use.

  6. Make sure the extension cord is properly wired and in good electrical condition. Always replace a damaged extension cord or have it repaired by a qualified electrician before using it.

  7. Protect the extension cords from sharp objects, excessive heat, and damp or wet areas.
