Before use
Upon delivery
Unpack your product and verify if the delivery is complete. The following items should be included:

Verify your product for transport damage. If you find any damages after delivery, contact the transporter.
Intended use
- The lifting pole shall be used by 1 person.
- The lifting pole shall be used indoor.
- The lifting pole shall not be used as toy for children.
- The lifting pole shall be used as a raising aid from a lying to a sitting position.
- The warranty on this product is based on normal use and maintenance as described in this manual. Damage to your product caused by improper use or lack of maintenance will cause the warranty to lapse.
Safety instructions
CAUTION Risk of injury and/or damage
- Do not exceed the maximum load (80 kg).
- Take note of the instructions for care and service. The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper servicing/care.
- Always lock the wheels of the bed whilst using the raising aid.
- Ensure correct assembly (see §4).
- Before use ensure that the strap sits correctly between both holders.
- Only place the raising aid at the head of the bed and on a level surface.
- Assembly and usage is only permitted under the supervision of qualified people.
- Do not use or try to straighten the raising aid if deformed.
- The device is not fire-resistant and should therefore not be placed close to fire or extreme heating.
Shipping and storage
The shipping and storage of the product should happen according to the technical specifications in §7. Make sure that your product is stored dry. Provide sufficient covering or packaging to protect the product from rust and foreign bodies (e.g. salt water, sea air, sand, dust). Make sure no objects are stored on or against your product to prevent damage.

Assembly
Secure the lifting pole 3 with the star button 1in the lower frame. Mount the lifting pole in the lower frame 2 as in the drawing. Check that the lifting pole is firmly secured.
Mount the metal attachment ring 1 over one of the hooks of the lifting pole. Mount the strap 2 through the triangle 3 and in the middle of the ring 1 . Check that the strap 2 is mounted correctly.
Use of the lifting pole
Place the lifting pole on the head side of the bed. Check that the underground is a level surface. Now the patient can grasp the triangle and pull himself up from lying position to sitting position.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Use a soft, damp cloth and lukewarm water with a mild soap. Avoid soaking. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents to clean.
Disinfection
CAUTION Risk of damage
Disinfections may only be undertaken by trained persons. Consult your specialist dealer. Use a soft, damp cloth and lukewarm water with a mild household disinfectant.
Inspection / Service / Repairs
The expected service life of your lifting pole is 5 years. The lifespan is influenced by use, storage, maintenance, service and cleaning. Before you resume use of the lifting pole, it should be inspected on the following points:
- Frame (deformation, stability)
Repairs and replacements may only be undertaken by trained persons, and only genuine replacement parts of Vermeiren should be used. Do not hesitate to use the services offered by your specialist dealer. He/she will be glad to assist you regarding any service and repairs.
Reuse
Before each reuse, have your product disinfected, inspected and serviced according to the instructions in §6.
Disposal at end of life
At end of life, you need to dispose of your product according to the local environmental legislation. The best way to do so, is to disassemble the product to facilitate the transport of recyclable parts.
