SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

READ INSTRUCTIONS – All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the appliance is operated.

WATER AND MOISTURE – The appliance should not be used near water.

VENTILATION – The appliance should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. that may impede the flow of air through the ventilation openings.

HEAT – The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves, or other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

POWER SOURCE – The appliance should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.

POWER CORD PROTECTION – Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them.

POWER LINES – The outdoor antenna should be located away from power lines.

OBJECT and LIQUID ENTRY – Care should be taken so that objects do not fall, and liquids are not spilled into the enclosure through the openings.

ESD WARNING – If the display does not function properly or there is no reaction to any of the controls, this may be due to electrostatic discharge. Switch off and unplug the set. Reconnect after a few seconds.

DAMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE – The appliance should only be serviced by qualified service personnel when:
a. The power-supply cord or plug has been damaged.
b. Objects have fallen into, or liquid has been spilled into the appliance enclosure.
c. The appliance has been exposed to rain.
d. The appliance has been dropped, or the enclosure damaged.
e. The appliance does not appear to operate normally. -
SERVICING- If an error display or malfunction occurs switch the appliance off and disconnect the power cord or remove the batteries and then reconnect to your power source and switch the appliance back on.

POWER SOURCE
AC POWER
You can power your portable system by plugging the detachable AC power cord
into the AC inlet at the back of the unit and into a wall AC power outlet.
Check that the rated voltage of your appliance matches your local voltage.
Make sure that the AC power cord is fully inserted into the appliance.

Batteries: 6×1.5V “C” Size (UM-2/LR14) (Optional, not supplied)
BBATTERY POWER
Insert 6 x “C” size batteries into the battery compartment. Be sure that
the batteries are inserted correctly to avoid damage to the appliance. Always
remove the batteries when the appliance will not be used for a long period of
time, as this will cause leakage from the batteries and subsequent damage to
your appliance.
Notes: – Use batteries of the same type. Never use different types of
batteries together. – To use the appliance with batteries, disconnect the AC
power cord from it.

RADIO OPERATION
GENERAL OPERATION
- Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “FM” mode.
- Adjust radio frequency to your desired station by using the “TUNING” control.
- Adjust the “VOLUME” control to the preferred level.
FOR BETTER RECEPTION
Adjust the antenna for better reception.
TAPE OPERATION
GENERAL OPERATION
PAUSE| Press to stop playing tape operation temporarily Press again to resume
tape operation.

Press again to open the cassette door after tape spools stop turning.
FAST FORWARD| Press to start rapid tape winding either forward or reverse
direction.
REWIND
PLAY| Press to start playing tape.
RRECORD| PPress it togeter with “PLAY” button to start recording
PLAYBACK
- Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “TAPE” mode.
- Press the “STOP/EJECT” button to open the cassette door insert your tape.
- Close the cassette door.
- Press the “PLAY” button to start playing the tape.
- Adjust the “VOLUME” control to the desired level.
- Press the “PAUSE” button when you want to stop playing tape operation temporarily.
- Press the “STOP/EJECT” button when finished.
RECORDING

Press the “STOP/EJECT” button to open the cassette door and insert a blank tape.

Select the source you want to record.
To record from radio – Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “RADIO” mode and adjust the desired station.
To record from CD – Place a disc into the CD compartement. Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “CD” mode and select the desi and select the desired track.
To record for AUX – Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “AUX” mode and insert the 3.5mm cable jack (not included) -
Press the “RECORD” button together with the “PLAY” button to start recording.
Press the “STOP”/EJECT button when finished.
CD OPERATION
GENERAL OPERATION
PLAY/PAUSE| Press to start playing a CD.
Press again to stop playing CD operation temporarily.
Press again to resume playback.

PLAYBACK
- Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “CD” mode.
- Open the CD door and place a CD with the label up in the CD compartment and Close the CD door.
- The CD auto reads
- Press the “PLAY/PAUSE” button to start playing the CD or pasue playback temporarily. (Display Flashes)
- Press the “NEXT/BACK” button to skip to the next or previous track.
- Press the “FAST FORWARD” or “REWIND” button to search through audio quickly.
- Press the “STOP” button to stop playback.
AUTOMATIC STANDBY MODE
To comply with the “ERP2” (Energy Related Products) Eco-Design Directive (2009/125/EU). who’s aim is to reduce the energy consumption of energy-using products; the device automatically switches to standby after approximately 10 minutes without a signal. To use the Boombox again, switch off and on.
PROGRAM
Up to 20 tracks can be programmed for CD plplay in any order.
Be sure to press the “STOP button before programming
- Press the ”PROGRAM” button, the display will show “01” and flash.
- Select the desired track by using the “NEXT” or “BACK” button.
- Press the “PROGRAM” button again to confirm desi desired tracks into the program memory.
- Press the “PLAY/PAUSE” button to play the CD in the order you have programmed. Program indicator light is illuminated.
- Press the “STOP” button twice to terminate programmed play and the program indicator will turn off.
*Repeat function is available for programmed track list
REPEAT
PPress the “REPEAT” button once = Repeat indicator flashes = Repeats one track
Press the “REPEAT” button twice = Repeat indicator stays on = Repeats all
tracks
Normal Playback = No indicator
OTHER FEATURES
AUX IN
Listen to an external audio device by connecting it to the boombox through the 3.5mm AUX IN jack.
- Set “FUNCTION” selector to “AUX” mode.
- Use one male to male stereo cable (not included) to connect phone jack of any external audio device to the AUX IN jack of the boombox.
- Control the music from the external audio player.
- Adjust the volume level on the boombox or external music device separately.
*CD function will be cancelled when connecting the Aux In cable.
HEADPHONE SOCKET
- Connect a 3.5mm headphone plug to the 3.5mm “PHONE” socket on the Boombox
- Connecting the headphones will deactivate the speakers.
- Volume adjustment will affect the sound quality through the headphones.
Note: Turn down the volume before connecting or putting on the headphones to avoid damaging your hearing

(ii) Alterations or adjustments made to equipment
(iii) Loss of data resultant from malfunction of hard drive or other storage device
(iv) Damage caused to any third party device as a result of using the product -
No liability under this guarantee shall be incurred:
(i) In respect of damage or loss occurring during transit to or from the purchas
(ii)Where the serial number plate of the equipment has been removed or altered in any way. -
Groov-e shall not be liable for consequential damage, loss or injury arising from or in connection with the equipment, excepting only that nothing in this condition shall or shall be construed so as to exclude or restrict liability for negligence.

If the equipment, in respect of which a claim hereunder is made, is found on examination to comply with the published specifications, a test fee may be incurred.
