INTEND USE:
A pipe wrench is an adjustable wrench that is used, as the name implies, on pipes. Most often, pipe wrenches are used on threaded pipe, usually galvanized steel, black iron or similar metal pipes. A pipe wrench has two serrated jaws that are tightened and dig into the pipe for grip. The top serrated jaw adjusts up and down to fit different size pipes. The unique feature of a pipe wrench is that the teeth will only grip when turning the wrench in one direction.

FEATURES

  • Heavy-duty drop-forged straight pipe wrench: suitable for all forms of pipework, fit 13mm (1/2″) to 51mm (2″) diameter pipes
  • Designed with serrated jaws allow the pipe to be gripped firmly so that it does not slip and hurt your hand or arm
  • To adjust the width of the jaw opening by rotating the knurled knob
  • The I-beam handle’s wide design provides excellent weight distribution
  • Compared to traditional wrenches, our wrench is easier to handle and provides greater torque
  • Easier to tighten/loosen pipes or remove stubborn bolts
  • Suitable for all pipe-related home improvement repairs that need a tight grip, such as gas tank repair, household plumbing, vehicle maintenance

OPERATING

  • Before using the pipe wrench, make sure the workpiece is stable and well-supported to prevent tipping and falling during use.
  • Place the wrench on the pipe so that the mouth of the jaw is facing the direction that you want to turn the pipe.
  • Make sure the pipe is centered in the jaws
  • Adjust the jaw by turning the nut so that it fits the pipe snugly.
  • Pull or push the pipe wrench in the direction you want the pipe to turn.

TIP:

  • For more delicate or visible plumbing using a cloth as a barrier between the jaws and pipe can prevent scarring the pipe.
  • Leaving a space permits the jaws to tighten with just the right amount of give.
  • Only apply force in the direction of rotation. Excessive side loading of the wrench can cause the wrench to slip or be damaged.

CLEAN AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Do not leave water or dirt on your tools. So when you have finished using your pipe wrenches, wipe them down with a clean towel, make sure they are clean and dry, and it’s better to coat them with oil to prevent rusting.
  2. Regularly check whether all parts are in good condition. If any parts are damaged or worn, replace them immediately. Do not use a damaged or worn part, as it may break or malfunction during use.
  3. Store pipe wrenches in a dry and clean place. Avoid exposing them to moisture or extreme temperatures.
