WARNING

• Children have died or been seriously injured when gates are not securely installed.
• This gate is suitable for use with children from 6 months up to 24 months of age.
•  The minimum width of the opening is 27.6 inches; maximum width of the opening is 55 inches. The ideal width of the opening is 35. 4inches.
• ALWAYS install and use the gate as directed and use all required parts.
• You MUST install the gate with screws and brackets. Without screws and brackets, children will be able to push the gate open.
• STOP using when a child can climb over or dislodge the gate.
• Use only when the [locking/latching] mechanism is securely engaged.
• NEVER use to keep children away from the pool.
• Do not use the gate if any components are damaged or missing.
• This safety gate must not be fitted across windows.
• Gates must be checked regularly to ensure that it is secure and functioning under these instructions.
• Additional or replacement parts must only be obtained from the manufacturer or distributor.
• Check that the gates is always correctly closed.
• Discontinue the use of the gate if it becomes damaged, broken, or disassembled.
• If the gate is used at the bottom of stairs to prevent the child from climbing up the stairs, it must be placed on the lowest stair.
• If you decide to use this gate at the top of the stairs, place it at least] 8 inches back from the top step.
• To prevent serious injury or death, securely install a gate or enclosure and use in accordance to the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Incorrect installation can be dangerous.
• Danger to older children who are tall enough to climb over the gate.
• Never install this product on glass doors. Install this product against reliable doors or walls.
• This safety barrier is for domestic use only.
• This safety gate has a manual closing system.
• Do not put any goods that can be grabbed by children or pets near this product to prevent injury.
• Before using this product, carefully inspect for any loose parts and whether any parts need to be tightened.
• Always check that the safety gate is correctly closed.
• Gate must be installed as close to the ground as possible, as per the installation guides.
• The safety gate •must be fitted between rigid surfaces such as plasterboard, timber or cement walls.

MOUNTINGS

The gate must be installed on a structurally sound opening. Ensure the mounting surface (wall, door frame. stair posts, etc) is strong, rigid, and has an even surface. Note:lf using the gate on stairs, it must be placed either on the top step or on the lowest step at the bottom. Select the appropriate fixing method from the following list.

1. For installation Screws For example: wood mounting Drill 5/64′(2mm) pilot holes and use the wood screws provided screwing directly into the wood.
2. For installation Screws Anchor For example: hard wall mounting concrete Drill 15/64″(6mm) pilot holes and about 50mm deep, insert anchor and secure with screws.

INSTALLATION

1. GATE PLACEMENT

INSTALLATION STEPS
The product must be installed on the ground to better realize the separation function.

1.  Main body Gate
2. .Mark the hole position of the lower and upper brackets as the left guide with a pen and keep in a vertical direction.
3. Mark the hole position of the lower and upper latches as the right guide with a pen.
4. Drill holes with an electric drill as the marks
5. Insert the expansion screws to all holes
6. Drill the two Brackets and Two Latches to the wall. (Please notice the obverse and the reverse are correctly facing)
7. Install Gate to upper Brackets as the arrow indicates.
8. Install Gate to Lower Bracket as the arrow indicates. Please make sure to install the gate to the upper Bracket first then install install gate to the upper Bracket at the Gate to the Lower Bracket.
9. In the “Unlock” state, the gate can be pulled out.

Note
This Extra Wide Outdoor Retractable Gate extends up to 55″ wide and is 34″ tall. This gate’s minimum width of the opening is 27.6in. The maximum width of the opening is 55in. The preferred width of the opening should be 35.4 inches.

Remark

• If you don’t need to use this retractable baby gate, please press the button at the bottom of the upper bracket to remove it.
• How to remove or dismantle: When not in use, please put it in a safe place so that children cannot touch it.

How to maintain and clean: wipe the surface of the product regularly with a sponge and non-abrasive cleaner, and please check the hinges of the product regularly. If you find any problems or that any part is broken, please stop using it immediately.

Note: When the gate is retracting always hold the handle and guide the gate evenly back into its original position. Never let go of the handle when the gate is retracting.
