  • Router bits can be very sharp. Wear protective gloves when fitting or changing router bits.
  • Be careful when removing the packaging from the router bit. Always wear protective gloves (compliant to ANSI 105, EN ISO 21420 or EN 388) during the work.
  • Always wear eye protection, hearing protection and a dust mask in the work area at all times.
  • Discard immediately if any chipping or cracking of this product has occurred.
  • Do not repair or regrind the router bits.
  • Dull or damaged router bits must be discarded.
  • Keep the product away from children and pets.
  • product should only be used by persons of training and experience who have knowledge of how to use and handle the product.

Intended Use

  • The product is designed for routing wood and wood based material in a router and may not be used for any other purpose. Always follow the router manufacturer’s instructions for use.
  • The product can be used with softwoods or hardwoods.
  • The router bits fit all types of routers, both automatic and portable routers.

Operation

CAUTION
Risk of injury! Router bits are sharp, take precautions when handling them.

NOTICE

  • Before using the product, always check the size info marked on each router bit.
  • The router bit rotates at a very high speed and may heat up if the router is moved too slowly through the wood which may cause burn marks.

Tips

  • When working on outside edges, move the tool counter-clockwise. When working on inside edges, move the tool clockwise.
  • Use the router bits for routing channels in cutting boards and counter tops, and to produce flutes in hardwoods.
  • When cutting wood materials containing glue, the sharpness of the milling cutter is reduced faster compared to cutting softwoods and hardwoods.
  • For a better finish for hardwoods, do a second pass, specially for extra large cuts.
  • Perform practice cuts with scrap materials before working on the actual piece.

Cleaning and Storage

  • To clean the product, wipe with a damp cloth. Rinse the parts and let all parts dry completely.
  • Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.
  • Use a small brush or compressed air to remove stubborn dust, if needed.
  • Coat all parts with a thin coat of household oil to prevent a buildup of rust.
  • Store each router bit inside the bit case.
