Product Usage Instructions
- Installation
- Ensure the power is turned off before installation.
- Remove the existing light fixture.
- Connect the wiring from the ceiling to the Smart Slim LED Downlight according to the provided wiring diagram.
- Secure the downlight into the ceiling using the provided screws.
- Turn on the power and test the downlight to ensure it is functioning properly.
- Smart Life App Setup
- Download and install the Smart Life App from your app store.
- Create a Smart Life account or log in if you already have one.
- In the Smart Life App, go to “Device” and tap on the “+” icon to add a new device.
- Select “Smart Slim LED Downlight” from the list of available devices.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the downlight to your Wi-Fi network.
- Once connected, you can control the downlight through the Smart Life App.
- Controlling the Downlight
- After successfully setting up the Smart Slim LED Downlight, you can control it using the following methods:
- Smart Life App: Open the app and tap on the downlight to turn it on/off, adjust brightness, and change color options (if applicable).
- Voice Control: If you have linked your Smart Life account with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa, you can control the downlight using voice commands.
- Manual Control: The downlight may also have physical buttons or switches for manual control. Refer to the product manual for more information.

- How do I reset the Smart Slim LED Downlight?
- To reset the downlight, turn it off and on three times in quick succession. The downlight will then enter pairing mode, allowing you to connect it to a new Wi-Fi network.
- Can I use multiple Smart Slim LED Downlights together?
- Yes, you can use multiple downlights together and control them simultaneously through the Smart Life App. Make sure each downlight is connected to the same Wi-Fi network and added to your Smart Life account.
- How do I change the color of the downlight?
- If your Smart Slim LED Downlight supports color options, you can change the color through the Smart Life App. Open the app, select the downlight, and choose the desired color from the color wheel or pre-set options.
- Can I schedule the downlight to turn on/off automatically?
- Yes, you can create schedules for the downlight through the Smart Life App. Set specific times for the downlight to turn on or off, allowing you to automate its operation.
- What should I do if the downlight is not connecting to my Wi-Fi network?
- If the downlight is not connecting to your Wi-Fi network, make sure you are using a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (not 5GHz). Additionally, check that your Wi-Fi password is entered correctly. If the issue persists, try resetting the downlight and repeating the setup process.
IMPORTANT : Read all instructions before installing fixtures. Retain for
future reference.
SAFETY : For your safety, this fixture must be wired in accordance to
local electrical codes and ordinances. All work should be done by a qualified
electrician.
WARNING : Make certain power is OFF from the electrical panel before
starting installation or attempting any maintenance. Indoor installation only.
TOOLS REQUIRED
- Saw
- Measuring Tape
- Electrical Wiring (use type and gauge suitable for application to connect the fixtures
PRE-INSTALLATION
- Turn power OFF from the electrical panel before starting installation.
- Locate a suitable position to plate the fixture and open in accordance to the cut-hole dimensions (refer to Hole Cut Table for appropriate size).
- Run electrical wire from the switch (power supply) through the mounting hole-use NMD90 Romex or BX cable.
DRIVER WIRING
- Open the hardwire box swing cover and remove the appropriate knockout (s)
- Insert the electrical supply cable through the knockout and secure with a cable connector (sold separately) .
- Using wire nuts, connect green ground wire of cable to green wire on box. Connect white wire of cable to white wire of box. Connect black wire of cable to black wire of box. (Fig.l)
- Place all wiring and connections back in to the box and close the cover.
- Insert hardwire box through the mounting hole. (Fig.2)
- New construction applications: Hardwire box shall be firmly secured to studs, joists, or similar fixed structural units.
- Remodel applications: Do not require the hardwire box to be frmly secured after the mounting plates, studs, joists, or structural units have been concealed.
FIXTURE INSTALLATION
- Connect the fixture to the hardwire box by inserting and twisting the male female connectors. (Fig.3)
- Push spring loaded clips on the fixture upwards and insert fixture base in to the mounting hole. Release the clips and fixture will be pulled flush to the ceiling. (Fig.4)
- Once assembly is complete, turn on power to confirm fixture is working properly.

Install the Smart life APP
- Find and install the Smart life app on Apple Store, Google Play.
- Register a Smart life account.
- Enter your mobile phone number or email address.
- Log into the App.
- Note: Please select your region and country.
- Connect: Easy Mode.
- STEP 1: Open the Smart life App.ln the top corner of the Devices screen,click(+) the Home,click”+” and “Add Device”.
- STEP 2: Choose Lighting>>Light Source(BLE+Wi-Fi) Select upper right corner”EZ Mode”.
- STEP 3: Make surelight rapidly flashing white. if not,reset to reach Easy Mode to conrect press “Next • in the App.
- STEP 4: Enter your WiFi network and passxwrd.
- NOTE: Smart life can’t connect to 5GHz the connection fails try to connect using AP Mode
- Connect: AP Mode
- STEP 1 Open the Smart life App. ln the top corner of the Home,click”+” ht Sou rce(BLE+Wi-Fi)”. select upper right comer “AP Mode”.
- STEP 2: Make sure light is slowly flashing white. If not,reset to reach AP Mode.
- STEP 3: Enter your WiFi network and password.
- STEP 4: Press”Next”and enter your Wi-Fi details.
- STEP 5: Fol ow the instructions to choose the device from your Wi-Fi list.
- STEP 6: The Smart life App will connect to your devices.
- NOTE: Smart life can’t connect to 5GHz networks. If the connection fails try to connect using AP Mode
- Connect: BIuetooth
- STEP 1: Open the Smart life App.ln the top corner of the Devices Choose “Light Source(BLE W Select uppper right Corner”Bluetooth”.
- STEP 2: Make sure light is rapidly flashing white. If not,reset to reach Easy Mode to connect Press”Next”in the App.
Group Control
- Log in to Smart life APP, tap the smart device and enter into, click “• • •” in the top right corner.
- Click “Create Group”, then select a device and save.
- You can reset the group name and save it, and the group can control devices.
VOICE CONTROL GUIDE

Voice Control Quick Guide for Amazon Alexa
- Log in to Smart life APP, tap the smart device and enter into, click ” in the top right corner.
- Tap “Alexa” in Third-party Control.
- Tap “Sign In With Amazon”
- Tap”Allown;
- Linked successfully, when add new device, there is no need to link again, just discover new device in Alexa.
To control your Smart life device, just ask Alexa. Make sure your devices are already set up using the Smart life app.
Voice Control Quick Guide for Google Assistant
- Log in to Smart life app, tap the smart device and enter into, click “ ” in the top right corner.
- Tap “Google Assistant”in Third-party Control.
- Tap “Link with Google Assistant”.
- Click”Agree and link”;
- Linked successfully, when add new device, there is no need to link again, just discover new device in Google Home.
To control your Smart life smart device, just say “Hey Google”,and ask. Make sure your devices are already set up using the Smart life app.

- “Hey Google, turn on all the lights in my bedroom.”
- “Hey Google, turn off the light.”
- “Hey Google, set the bedroom light to orange.”
- “Hey Google, turn off the coffee machine.”
- “Hey Google, set the living room to 50%.”

- Some commands require compatible devices.
