- DO NOT leave the product where the temperature may exceed 70″ C (150″ F) for an extended period.
- Please insert a formatted memory card into the product before your first use(see on page 04).

Mirror Dash Camera
Note: When the touch screen is unresponsive er freezes, you can insert a pin into the Reset Hole on the back to reboot the dash camera.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT:
-
The pre-install test is a must before final installation.
-
Insert a formatted memory card(not included) into the product before your first use.
Step 1: Install the memory card into a card reader, then connect it to the computer to format it into FAT32
Step 2 : Tap to enter Settings, then tap Format and Confirm to continue.
Due to the data rate of the video being recorded, a reputable Class 10 or higher speed memory card must be used. -
Professional installation of this product is generally recommended.
Step 1,
Mount the Mirror Dash camera over the original rearview mirror of the vehicle
with the provided Mounting Strap, then adjust the angle of it.
Step 2,
Connect one end of CarChargercableto the US8 Input port on the top side of
Mirror Dash Camera. Plug the other end of the Car Charger cable to the
Cigarette Lighter Receptacle in the vehicle.
Step 3:
Attach the AV Out connector of the Rear Camera with the AV In port of the
Mirror Dash Camera, then snake the black cable of the Rear Camera through the
body of your vehicle to the rear of it.
Step 4:
Set the vehicle in reverse gear, then identify the wire that feeding the
Reverse Light from the rear light cluster. Tie the Red Trigger Wire with the
positive terminal of the correct wire.
Step 5:
Insert the AV out connector of the Rear Camera Kit into the AV in port on the
dash camera, then mount the Rear Camera Kit to the rear of the vehicle,
Step 6:
Install the GPS Atenna to search GPS satellites and calculate Mirror Dash
Camera’s geographical position. Please make sure the side with GPS letter
faces upwards to receive a better signal.
Notes:
- DO NOT connect the Red Trigger Wire with Brake Light or Tail Light.
- After installation, the Mirror Dash Camera will display Rear Camera’s view by default when starting the engine.
- The Rear Camera will be triggered when reversing, and the view will be from the Rear Camera.
- For better viewing, please clean the lenses of both cameras after installing
GET STARTED
Power On/Off
Option 1:
Start the engine to automatically power on the Mirror Dash Camera.
Option 2:
Press the Power Button for around 3s to povwer on/off the Mirror Dash Camera.
After powering on, please tap select your language.
Screen On/Off
Simply press the Power Button once to Switch the screen off when the Mirror
Dash Camera is ON; press it again or tap the touchscreen to wake the camera
up.
Tip: The Mirror Dash Camera can serve as a standard rearview mirror after
Screen off.
FUNCTION OVERVIEW
Video Mode
After powering on, the camera will enter Video Mode and record videos. A
flashing red dot on the upper left corner of the display indicates the view
from the camera is being recorded to the memory card.
- Tap to mute and unmute the microphone.
- Tap to capture a photo.
- Tap to end and save the recording, then enter Live Mode.
- Tap to enter the interface of Settings.
- Tap on the screen, and the Mirror Dash Camera will lock the video of this section. At this time, the flashing red dot in the upper left corner of the screen will become a yellow dot. Locked videos will not be overwritten.
- OMPH indicates the current speed of your vehicle.
Check and Delete the Files Saved
Slide rightward on an empty section of the touchscreen to check photos/ videos
saved.
- Tap the thumbnail on the left to play the video/photo on the right.
- Tap to filter the video/photo.
Front urgent video contains the locked videos recorded by the front camera
when there is a collision in driving or parking, and the locked videos
recorded manually by tapping .
Front ordinary video contains the videos recorded by the front camera.
Rear urgent video contains the locked videos recorded by the rear camera when
there is a collision in driving or parking, and the locked videos recorded
manually by tapping
Rear ordinary video contains the videos recorded by the rear camera.
Front photo contains the photos took by the front camera.
Rear photo contains the photo took by the rear camera.
Tap select the video/photo, then tap again to delete
Tap to select all files, then tap to delete all under this category.
File Transfer
Option 1:
Remove the memory card from the Mirror Dash Camera, then connect it with a
computer via a card reader (not supplied) to make file transfer.
Option 2:
Directly connect the Mirror Dash Camera witha computer via a USB cable, then
go to Settings> USB Mode to set it as STORAGE.
Option 3:
Connect to the mobile phone through WiFi, and download files to the mobile
phone in roadcam APP.
GPS Function
Check the video with GPS data
- Step 1: When File Transfer (see on page 09) is available, please access My Computer on your PC and find the external storage.
- Step 2: Click the application named gxplayer and follow the tips to install it into your PC.
- Step 3: Get back to the external storage and click gxplayer again to open the player after the installation is completed.
- Step 4: Click to on the upper right corner to start setting up the player
- Step 5: Click again to hide the settings.
Step 6: Click the lower part to select a video from the external storage to play it. The GPS data of the selected video will be displayed on the right of the player.
More Functions
Swipe leftward on an empty section of the touchscreen to switch among the view
from the rear camera, the view trom the front camera, and the view from both
cameras.
Swipe upward/downward on the left part of the touchscreen to see lens full field of view.
Swipe upward/downward on the right part of the touchscreen to adjust tlie display brightness.
Walt for around 3.s after powering on the current speed of your vehicle, the time, day and daw v.ill be displayed on the right of the screen.
SETTINGS
Tap or swipe down at the middle part of the touchscreen to start setting up your camera.
Back
Tap to get back to the previous interface.
Resolution
Tap to switch the resolution of the front camera and the rear camera.
Video Length
Change the recording time of each video. The recording time is set to be 1
minute by default. You can choose from 1 MIN, 3 MINS, and 5 MINS.
Record Audio
Turn on/off the audio when recording.
G-Sensor
Set the different G-sensor sensitivity of collision detection when driving.
You can select from Low, Middle, High and OFF as needed. If you select High,
the camera will automatically start recording a video for around 20s when the
car encounters a minor collision. If you select Low, the camera will start
recording when the car encounters a severe collision. A flashing yellow dot on
the upper left corner and a yellow progress bar on the bottom will be
displayed when recording a locked video. The video is locked and will not be
overwritten.
Parking Guard
Set the different Parking Guard sensitivity of colision detection when
parking. You can select from Low, Middle, High and OFF as needed. If you
select High, the camera will automatically start recording a video for around
20s when the car encounters a minor collision. If you select Low, the camera
will start recording when the car encounters a severe collision. A flashing
yellow dot on the upper left corner and a yellow progress bar on the bottom
will be displayed when recording a locked video. The video is locked and will
not be overwritten.
Note:
An extra Hardwire Kit (not included) is recommended for using this function.

Time-Lapse
Set the frame rate of the video. The camera captures 30 frames per 1s to merge
them into a video by default (OFF). If you set Time-Lapse as 1S, the camera
will capture 1 frame per 1s and merge them into a video.
- Selecting 2S indicates that the camera will capture 1 frame per 2s, and
- selecting 3S indicates the camera will capture 1 frame per 3s.
Note:
An extra Hardwire Kit (not included) is required for using this function.

License Plate
Enter your vehicle license to be displayed on the lower left corner of the
touchscreen display.
Screen Saver
Set the time to enter sleep mode after a certain period of inactivity. You can
choose from 1 MIN, 3 MINS, and OFF.
Auto Power Off
Click “Auto Power Off” in Settings to enter the submenu. In the submenu, there
are options of “OFF, 1 MIN, 3 MINS and 5 MINS”. Select “OFF”, and the machine
will be turned on until the external power supply is cut off. “1 MIN” means
that the machine will automatically record after 1 minute without recording or
operation.
60 Hz Frequency
Tap to switch the frequency between 60Hz and 50 Hz.
Tap Sound
Turn on/off the sound when tapping the touch display.
Speaker Volume
Set the volume of the speaker for the camera. You can choose from Low, Middle,
High, and Mute
Boot Sound
Turn on/off the sound when powering on/off the camera.
Language
Change your language.
Date/Time
Tap to start setting the date and time. Swipe upward/downward to select the
year, month, date, hour, and minute, then tap Confirm to set the time.
Reverse Rearview
Tap “Reverse Rearview” in Settings to enter the submenu. There are options of
“OFF” and “ON” in the submenu. Select “ON” and the rear image will be reversed
on the screen. Select “OFF” and the rear image will be original on the screen.
Note: No matter the original image or reversed image is displayed on the
Screen, the video file is original.
Timestamp
Tap “Timestamp” in Settings to enter the submenu. There are options of “OFF”
and “ON”. Select “ON” and there will be time information in the picture when
playing back. Select “OFF” and there is no time information in the picture
when playing back.
Voice Control
Tap to activate the voice recogniton function and control the dash camera
without the need to touch on the screen.
GPS test
Only available when the GPS Receiver is installed into the GPS port of the
dash camera.
Tap to check the detailed information of GPS, including GPS status, the number
of satellites, the longitude, the latitude, and more.
Time Zone
Only available when the GPS Receiver is installed into the GPS port of the
dash camera.
Select the time zone for your dash camera.
Speed Unit
Only available when the GPS Receiver is installed into the GPS port of the
dash camera. Tap to manually adjust the speed of your vehicle displayed on the
screen.
USB Mode
Set the USB mode when connecting with PC. Select STORAGE to transfer the
photo/video between the camera and your PC; while select CHARGE to charge the
product only.
Mobile Phone
Tap to view WiFi information.
Format
Tap to bring up the option of formatting the memory card.
Factory Reset
Tap to bring up the option of resetting the camera to the factory default.
APP INSTALLATION GUIDE
Before using the WiFi, please install the roadcam APP on
your smartphone or tablet.
- Step 1: Search in Google Play or Apple Store for Roadcom APP on your mobile phone, then download and install.
- Step 2: Scan QR Ccode with your mobile phone, then download and install Roadcom.
Note:
Roadcom APP can also be downloaded by scaning the QR code in the WiFi information of the Mirror Dash Camera.
WIFI CONNECTION OF MOBILE PHONE

Step 1: Turn on the WiFi hotspot on the Mirror Dash Camera. Tap the WiFi icon on the screen to turn on the WiFi hotspot.
Note: Tap “WiFi off” can turn off the WiFi hotspot. -
Step 2: Open the WiFi connection settings on the mobile phone, search the WiFi name “VU12_***”, enter password to connect (password:12345678)

Step 3: After the VWiFi connection is successful, open the Roadcom app to enter the operation interface.

Settings
Tap to enter Settings to modify the parameters. -
Video playback interface
Tap to enter the video playback interface, click on video files to play, or press and hold the video file to download. -
Picture playback interface
Tap to enter the picture playback interface, click picture to zoom in and view, or press and hold the picture file to download.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Q1. The memory card can’t be read, or there is an error.
- Make sure install the memory card correctly.
- Install the memory card into a card reader, then connect it to the computer to format it into FAT32.
- Tap oto enter Settings, then tap Format and Confirm to format the memory card.
- Try another Class 10 memory card with a well-known brand, such as SanDisk, Kingston, etc.
Q2. There is a prompt stating power is depleted.
- Aicon indicates the camera’s charging status. If this icon is not displayed:
- Please check if the Car Charger is properly connected to the Cigarette
- Lighter Receptacle of the vehicle.
- Please replace the Car Charger
Q3. The touchscreen display freezes
- Please remove the memory card to check whether it’s caused by it.
- Restart the touchscreen display by pressing the Power Button.
- Use a pin into the Reset hole to reboot the dash camera.
Q4. The screen can’t show the rear camera’s view when reversing.
- Please swipe left on the touchscreen to check whether there is an image View from the rear camera. It yes
- Verify the Red Trigger Wire of the Rear Camera is electrically tied to the wire feeding the vehicles’ Reverse Light.
Q5. There is a Black Screen of Death when reversing.
- Please check whether the display can show the image view when not reversing. If yes, please reconnect the cabe of the ed camera.
- Please check whether the lens of the rear camera is blocked.
Q6. The camera can’t record videos, or the latest video is overwritten.
- Please check if the memory card is full of the locked video. If yes, please delete the unnecessary videos or format the memory card.
- Go to Settings > G-Sensor/Parking Guard to set it to Low or Middle.
- Replace another memory card.
Q7. The camera is restarted automatically.
- Please check if the USB cable is in poor contact.
- Remove the memory card to see whether it’s caused by it.
Q8. A pause or frame skipping occurs when playing the videos or photos.
- Try another Class 10 memory card with a wel-known brand and format it.
- Try to use the media player that can decode H.264 and H.265 compressed videos.
Q9. The video recorded in the memory card is blurry or shows strips.
- Please check whether the lenses of the cameras are dirty.
- Please take off the protective film of the lens.
- Please check whether the windshield of the vehicle is not clean enough.
- Please make sure the vehicle is able to provide the stable power supply.
