WARNING AND CAUTION:
- Risk of fire and electrical shock, products should be installed in accordance with appropriate electrical codes and regulations.
- The product shall be used together with an upstream air-gap switch.
- Turn power OFF at circuit breaker or fuse and test if the power is OFF before installing.
- If you are unsure about any part of these instructions, consult a qualified electrician.
- Reduce the risk of overheating and possible damage to other equipment by not installing the dimmer control to a receptacle, motor-operated appliance, or a transformer-supplied appliance.
- Use with compatible dimmable LED, CFL bulbs, Incandescent or Halogen bulbs only.
- When multiple bulbs are used with one dimmer DO NOT mix bulb types. All bulbs shall be either LED, CFL or Incandescent . Using the same model of each bulb will enhance the dimmer performance.
Instructions on Functional Parts
-
Control Lever Slider
Move the lever slider up to increase the brightness and move down to decrease the brightness. -
Rocker Switch
To turn the power ON / OFF by pressing the rocker switch located in the center of the dimmer. -
Adjustment Dial
Turn the adjustment dial clockwise to increase the minimum brightness and turn the counter-clockwise to decrease the minimum brightness.
Once the lower dimming level is set dimming range is set, ensure the bulbs turn on. The adjustment dial is designed to set the minimum brightness of the bulbs at the initial setup. See additional details in step 7.

Installation and Testing
Step 1
WARNING: To avoid fire and electrical shock, TURN OFF POWER at circuit
breaker or fuse and test that power is off before wiring.
Step 2 REMOVAL: (This step is not required for new installations)
Remove existing wall plate and replace mounting screws. Carefully remove
switch from the wall box. Identify and tag the load wire with a marking as
“line wire” or “ground wire” if necessary then remove them from the switch.
Step 3 identifying the type of circuit
NOTE: If the wiring in the wall box does not resemble any of these
configurations, consult an electrician.
IMPORTANT: For 3-Way
applications, note that one of the screw terminals from the old switch being
removed will usually be a different color (Black) or labeled Common. Tag that
wire with electrical tape and identify as the common (Line or Load) in both
the dimmer wall box and 3-way wall box.
Step 4a Single-Pole Wiring Application:
Note: The red and white wires are only used for two-way control application connections. In single-way control application connections, screw on the insulating caps to protect them.
Location 1 wiring:
Connect the green wire on the dimmer to the green or bare copper ground wire
on the wall box , and tighten it with the P3 wiring nut.
Connect the black wire on the dimmer to the live wire of circuit breaker, and
tighten it with P3 the wiring nut.
Connect the red wire on the dimmer to the load wire, and tighten it with the
P3 wiring nut.
Screw the remaining red and white wire on the dimmer with the P3 wiring nut to
protect it.
Step 4b 3-Way Wiring Application:
IMPORTANT: In a 3-way circuit, only one dimmer can be used
Location 1 wiring:
Connect the green wire on the dimmer to the green or bare copper ground wire
on the wall box , and tighten it with the P3 wiring nut.
Connect the black wire on the dimmer to the live wire of circuit breaker, and
tighten it with the P3 wiring nut.
Connect the red and white wire on the dimmer to Traveler 2, and tighten it
with P3 wiring nut.
Connect the red wire on the dimmer to Traveler 1, and tighten it with P3
wiring nut.
Location 2 wiring:
Connect the Traveler 1 to Screw 1 of the 3-way Switch.
Connect the Traveler 2 to Screw 2 of the 3-way Switch.
Connect the 3-way Switch’s Common Terminal to the live wire of circuit
breaker, and tighten it with P3 wiring nut.
Step 5 Installing and Mounting the Dimmer
- Carefully position all wires inside the wall-box, leaving enough room to insert the dimmer housing. Put the dimmer inside the wall-box.
- Mount the dimmer securely inside the wall-box using the provided mounting screws.
Step 6 Turn Power On at the Circuit Breaker
- Turn power on at the circuit beaker or plug back in the fuse. Test your new dimmer to see if it is working properly.
- If the adjustment dial is set to the desired dimming range and brightness then proceed to step 8.
NOTE:
Dimmable LEDs may not dim as low as incandescent or halogen bulbs. Dimming
range of dimmable LEDs can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. If your
bulbs do not dim to your satisfaction, especially the dimmer range and minimum
brightness level, adjust the adjustment wheel of the dimmer can get desired
lighting result (The product is designed with an adjustment wheel). For
details see step 7.
Step 7 Testing
- Move the control lever ① slider to 30-50% position, then turn the rocker switch ② ON to ensure the light is on.
- Turn the adjustment dial ③ counter-clockwise (-) to the lowest desired brightness level to ensure the light output is stable and does not project a flicker or flash.
- Turn the rocker switch ② OFF and wait one second then turn it back ON to verify the light does not flicker or flash.
- If the light does not turn On or minor adjustments are required repeat step 2 and 3 above by turning the adjustment wheel ③ clockwise (+) to verify all bulbs turn ON and the desired brightness is set.
- Once the above settings are complete, turn ON the rocker switch ② test the minimum brightness level of the dimming range.
Step 8 Installing Wall Plate
Step 8a Screw-less plate
- Installing the mounting frame on the dimmer and tighten with the matched screws.
- Place the face plate ③ over the installed mounting frame and ① gently push it together to ensure it is tightly secured.
Step 8b Plate with screws
- Place the face plate ① over your installed dimmer and secure it using the screws ②.
Troubleshooting
Symptom | Possible Causes | Solution |
---|---|---|
Lights flickering | Lamp has a bad connection | Reconnect and fix the wires |
LED and CFL flickers at low end of dimming range | Adjust the adjustment dial |
See details on step 7
Light does not turn on| Circuit breaker has tripped| Turn power ON
Fuse burn out| Change fuse
