Step 2: File Transfer for Version Update

  • Transfer the SP1 patch package file for version update.
  • File transfer successful.

Step 3: Version Upgrade

  • Perform the version upgrade using the following command:
    • S5860#install activate S5860_FSOS_12.6(2)B0101_SP1.bin slot all

Step 4: Check the Patch Installation Status

  • To check the patch installation status, use the command:
    • S5860#sh install

Step 5: Enable Automatic Restart of Devices After Applying Cold Patches

  • To enable automatic restart of devices after applying cold patches, use the command:
    • S5860#install activate S5860_FSOS_12.6(2)B0101_SP1.bin slot all

Steps for the Upgrade Process

NOTE

  • To upgrade with SP1 patch, it is required to have the current software version of the product as S5860_FSOS 12.6(2)B0101, Release (10131123).
  • The SP1 patch is currently only compatible with the S5860_FSOS_12.6(2)B0101_install.bin version.
  • The SP1 patch only supports command-line upgrades; attempting a web upgrade will result in an error.

  1. It is recommended to use the out-of-band network to transfer files through TFTP. Execute the following command. Remove the keyword “oob” if using an in-band network for the transfer.
