**IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

**

When using this device, you must always apply the basic safety precautions listed below to reduce risks of accidents, electric shock, injury, and fire.

  1. Turn off the device in the vicinity of chemical plants, petrol pumps and other places where explosive objects are present.
  2. When driving, do not look at the dial of your fitness tracker for too long, do not change settings or use any function that requires attention for an extended period of time.
  3. Turn off the device if you board an aeroplane and do not turn it on during the flight.
  4. Take great care when using the device near other devices such as pacemakers, hearing aids and other electro-medical systems which may be affected by interference from the radio signal of the mobile phone.
  5. Never disassemble the appliance yourself.
  6. Charge the battery in a well-ventilated area and keep it away from flammable and highly explosive sources.
  7. Do not obstruct the device’s power port and make sure that access is easy when using it.
  8. To avoid demagnetization, keep the device away from hard drives, credit cards and other items that operate with magnetic fields.
  9. Unless otherwise indicated in the manual, keep the device well away from liquids. If it falls into water, do not attempt to turn it on again before it is thoroughly dry and also make sure that there is no moisture inside.
  10. Do not use the device in extremely low or high-temperature environments. Never leave the device outdoors in direct sunlight, very humid or very dusty places.
  11. Do not use liquids or strong detergents to clean the device.

**BATTERY WARNINGS

**

Do not expose the device to sources of heat and high temperatures (for example: do not leave it in a vehicle parked in the sun). This product has a battery that, if not handled correctly, may even explode or catch fire. Attention: for models with a removable battery, if the battery is not inserted correctly, it could explode.
To avoid the battery exploding or catching fire, never attempt to open or repair it.
Do not disassemble, strike, puncture, short circuit or throw the battery into a fire. Do not throw it into the water and do not expose it to temperatures above 60 °C.
Do not attempt to replace the battery. Do not use sharp objects to remove the battery. Keep the battery well out of reach of children.

MEDICAL UNIT

The use of devices that transmit radio signals, such as mobile phones, may interfere with insufficiently protected medical devices. Consult a doctor or the manufacturer of the medical device to determine whether it is suitably protected against external radio signals. If any signs are present that prohibit the use of mobile phones, you must always observe them. Hospitals and other health care centres use devices that may be sensitive to external radio signals.

PACEMAKERS

Manufacturers of pacemakers recommend keeping a distance of at least 15 cm between a mobile phone and a pacemaker to avoid the risk of interference with the pacemaker.
These recommendations comply with independent research and recommendations published by Wireless Technology Research (WTR). People with pacemakers:

  • absolutely must not carry the device in a chest pocket
  • must wear the device on the opposite side of the pacemaker to reduce the risk of interference
If you think that there may be a risk of interference, turn the device off.

AREAS AT RISK OF EXPLOSION

Always switch off the device when in areas where there is a risk of explosion and obey all signs and instructions. The risk of explosion exists in places that include areas where machinery is normally switched off. Within such an area, sparks may cause an explosion or a fire that may result in personal injury or even death. Turn off the device at petrol service stations or near fuel pumps or garages.
Uphold applicable restrictions concerning the use of radio systems near places where fuel, chemicals or explosives are stored.
Areas at risk of explosion are often (but not always) clearly identified.
This also applies to low decks (on ships), transport or storage of chemicals, vehicles that use liquid fuel and areas where the air contains chemicals or metal particles (such as granules or dust).
