Intended use
The LED light string is designed to provide decorative lighting in indoor and
outdoor areas. The controller button can be used to switch between 8 different
light modes and different colours.
Use the Tuya Smart mobile app to select light modes, change the light colour,
and set timers.
The product is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant which gives a
voice control option to operate the LED lights.
The product has an IP44 ingress protection rating. It is splash proof and
suitable for outdoor use under a roofed area.
If you use the product for purposes other than those described, the product
may be damaged. Improper use can result in short circuits, fires, electric
shocks or other hazards.
The product complies with the statutory national and European requirements.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify the
product.
Read the operating instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make
this product available to third parties only together with the operating
instructions.

General information
- The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
- Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material for children.
- If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
- Maintenance, modifications and repairs must only be completed by a technician or an authorised repair centre.
Handling
- Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.
Operating environment
- Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
- Protect the product from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
Installation location
- The adapter must be kept under a roofed area. The light string can be installed indoors or outdoors.
- Do not place the product on easily flammable/combustible materials or products.
- Do not set up the product under water.
- Do not allow the product to sit on water or wet areas.
- Keep the product at least 4 metres away from bathtubs, swimming pools, fountains, and similar installations with water.
- Do not hang any objects from the product.
Operation
- Never operate the light string while it is in the packaging or rolled up.
- The lights become hot during operation. Do not cover the product while it is in use or cooling down. Do not cover the product while operating. Keep easily flammable/combustible materials away.
- Do not electrically attach this light string to another light string.
- Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the product.
- If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any accidental use. DO NOT attempt to repair the product yourself. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
LED light
- Attention, LED light:
- Do not look directly into the LED light!
- Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
Power adapter
Do not modify or repair mains supply components including mains plugs, mains cables, and power supplies. Do not use damaged components. Risk of death by electric shock!
- Connect the product to a wall socket that can be accessed easily.
- As power supply, only use the supplied mains adaptor.
- Only connect the power adaptor to a normal mains socket connected to the public supply. Before plugging in the power adaptor, check whether the voltage stated on the power adaptor complies with the voltage of your electricity supplier.
- Never connect or disconnect power adaptors if your hands are wet.
- Never unplug the power adaptor from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; always use the grips on the plug.
- For safety reasons, disconnect the power adaptor from the mains socket during storms. Do not touch the power adapter if there are any signs of damage, as this may cause a fatal electric shock! Take the following steps:
- Switch off the mains voltage to the socket containing the power adapter (switch off the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse, and then switch off the corresponding RCD protective switch).
- Unplug the power adapter from the mains socket.
- Use a new power adapter of the same design. Do not use the damaged adapter again.
- Ensure that cables are not pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
- Always lay cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses a risk of injury.
- The power adaptor is sized appropriately to the loading of the lights, and use of an incorrect power adaptor can damage the product.
- The power adaptor will run warm to touch, always keep in a ventilated position.

Setting up
- Remove the product from the packaging.
- Lay the product out entirely and arrange the cables so that they are not tangled. Do not fasten the product directly to the installation surface (for example with push-pins).
- Connect the plug attached to the lead-in cable to the power adaptor and secure with the weatherproof cap.
Operation
Switching on/off
- Plug the power adaptor into a standard electrical socket and turn the mains switch on.
- Press the controller button on the power adaptor to switch the lights on.
- Press the controller button on the power adaptor until it has gone through the 8 lighting modes, the next press of the controller button will switch off the lights.
Switching lighting modes and colours
The controller has 8 lighting modes. Press the controller button on the power adaptor to switch between the different lighting colours and the following lighting modes:
- Mode 1: Bright
- Mode 2: Gradual
- Mode 3: Star
- Mode 4: Flower
- Mode 5: Marquee
- Mode 6: Fireworks
- Mode 7: Meteor
- Mode 8: Stream
After use
- Disconnect the product from the mains socket.
- Let the product cool down to room temperature before cleaning or storing.
Mobile app operation
Use the Tuya Smart mobile app to select light modes, change the light colour, and set timers.
Installing the mobile app
On your mobile device, download and install the Tuya Smart app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or scan the shown QR code to download the app.
Connecting the product to the app
For mobile app control, you must add the product to the app and connect it to a suitable Wi-Fi network.
Note:
The product can only be connected to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.
- On your mobile device, activate Wi-Fi.
- Open the mobile app.
- Tap Add Device or + at the top right corner of the app homepage to enter the Add Device page. (Please use the markup elements defined in the Character Styles)
- If successfully connected, you can control the product from your mobile device with the app.
Synchronising music
With the integrated microphone you can synchronise surrounding sound with the light string. In the mobile app you enable and disable the microphone and define the parameters for sound control.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Suggested solution |

LED lights do not light up | ■ Check that the product is connected to the |
mains power and that it is switched on.
■ Check that the connection between the power adaptor and the lead-in wire is securely connected.
■ Press the controller button on the power adaptor and see if the LED lights illuminate.
■ Check with another working mains power outlet.
Cleaning and care
Important:
- Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions. They damage the housing and can cause the product to malfunction.
- Do not immerse the product in water.
- Disconnect the product from the power supply.
- Let the product cool down sufficiently before cleaning.
- Use a clean, soft and dry cloth to clean the housing. For more stubborn dirt, slightly moisten the cloth with lukewarm water.
Disposal
This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on
the EU market. This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed
of as unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose
of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Spent batteries and
accumulators, which are not enclosed by the WEEE, as well as lamps that can be
removed from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner, must be removed by end
users from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner before it is handed over to a
collection point.
Distributors of electrical and electronic equipment are legally obliged to
provide free take-back of waste. Conrad provides the following return options
