Temperature measurement connection:
For external temperature measurement, any type K thermocouple can be
connected, e.g. a temperature clamp or a temperature probe.
- Insert the temperature plug into the temperature socket on the underside of the unit (Abb. 3, part 6).
Switch on unit
WARNING: Due to the compressibility of gases, the accident prevention regulations “Working on Gas Installations” and the rules and regulations “Technical Rules for Gas Installations” must be observed for all pressure tests with air or inert gas for safety reasons.
- Switch on the unit: Press and hold the button for 2 seconds.
- Switch off the unit: Press and hold the button for 3 seconds.
After switching it on, the overall display lights up briefly, and then the
start screen lights up for approx. 7 seconds.
During this time, the unit carries out a pressure zeroing.
ATTENTION: During zeroing, no hose may be connected or no differential
pressure applied, as the unit stabilizes and determines its zero point
After zeroing the measuring display appears
Display
In measuring mode, the main display shows the currently measured pressure value and below the temperature value.
Top line:
Battery level indicator:
- 3 dashes : high battery voltage
- Flashing: very low battery voltage
Middle line:
Actual measured differential pressure
Bottom line:
- Internally measured temperature or externally measured temperature (with connected temperature sensor or clamp)
- The differential pressure is always shown in the display without (+) or (-).
- Instead, there is a plus sign (+) under the pressure port through which the higher value is measured and a minus sign (-) under the pressure port with the lower value.
Note: We recommend connecting the overpressure or underpressure to be measured to the right-hand con-nection and to leave the left-hand connection open as a reference connection
Temperature measurement connection:
For external temperature measurement, any type K thermocouple can be
connected, e.g. a temperature clamp or a temperature probe.
- Insert the temperature plug into the temperature socket on the underside of the unit.
Settings
- Immediately after switching on, as soon as the battery symbol has appeared in the display and before the measured value display appears, double-click with the button.
Selecting the pressure unit
This will take you to the setting mode.
The pressure units bar, bar, WC, psi, mmH2O, mH2O, Pa, hPa, kPa, and mPa appear one after the other.
- Confirm the selected unit with a double click.
Selecting the pressure solution
The display shows „reso“ (resolution).
You can now set the displayed resolution for the pressure. The resolution
refers to the previously selected pressure unit. There are 3 different
resolutions to choose from.
- Press the button briefly to select the desired resolution.
- Confirm the selection with a double click.
Selecting the temperature unit
The display shows „Temp. unit“.
You can now select between the temperature units °C or °F.
- To change between °C and °F press the button briefly.
- Confirm the selection with a double click.
Switching the display lighting on/off
The display shows „Light on“.
- Press the button briefly to switch the display lighting on and off again.
- Confirm the selection with a double click.
Auto Off Function “Auto Off” appears in the display.
The unit switches off automatically after one hour if no key has been pressed.
This auto-off function can be deactivated at this point.
- Press the operating key briefly to switch between “Auto Off” (automatic switch-off activated) and “Ever ON” (automatic switch-off deactivated).
- Confirm your selection with a double click.
The display then switches back to the start screen for a few seconds and then to the measuring mode.
Changing the batteries
- Switch off the unit.
- Remove the battery cover from the backside of the unit.
- Replace the batteries with 2 new 1.5 V AA LR6 batteries.
- Observe the correct polarity according to the labeling in the battery compartment.
