PEPE P10014 Forearm Crutches for Kids
PEPE – KIDS CRUTCHES offer the user support when walking. They have been designed to be used by children who have a physical deficiency or injury, or who are undergoing convalescence or rehabilitation periods.
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
- Stand upright on a firm, flat surface, allowing your arm to hang naturally at your side.
- Handgrip height adjustment. Slide the aluminium tube B (Fig. 1) until the handgrip is at the height of the trochanter.
- Forearm adjustment. Slide tube A (Fig. 1) to adjust the forearm. The arms should be slightly bent with the hand on the handle (no more than 15°).
- Fit the height adjustment clips to start using the crutch.
FEATURES
- It has 11 settings, 8 crutch height settings and 3 forearm height settings. The minimum height is 28.2” (up to the handle 22.4”) and the maximum height is 36.2” (up to the handle 29.3”).
- The tip used in this crutch is for tubes with a diameter of 5/8” – 3/4”.
- The approximate weight of each crutch is 16 oz.
- Aluminium tubes. Polypropylene (PP) elbow and handle. Rubber tips. Steel and polypropylene pin.
WARNINGS
Do not use this product without reading and understanding the instructions. If necessary, contact a health care professional, distributor or technical personnel before using this product to avoid possible injury. Before use, you must ensure that:
- All parts are tight, nothing is loose and there are no rattles or cracks in the metal.
- The user does not suffer from impairments, disabilities or is under the effects of any medication, etc. that the doctor, therapist and/or seller considers to interfere with the safe use of this product.
During use
During use, make sure that:
- When using two crutches, they are adjusted to the same height and that all parts are adjusted correctly.
- Do not hold the crutches in case of sudden impact or jolts. If this happens, release your hands and support them on the floor.
- Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity for these crutches, which is 220 lb.
- Avoid any safety hazards including slippery, uneven or soft surfaces and objects in the path.
- Using these crutches does not eliminate the risk of falls.
- The tip or cleat is often inspected for damage or wear. In case of damage, any broken, damaged or worn parts are replaced with parts from the manufacturer.
- Although these crutches are designed to be more comfortable than other crutches, they should always be used with extreme care.
- The crutches should be kept in a clean condition. It is recommended that the handle and forearm be washed regularly with neutral soap.
- Failure to follow the above instructions may result in serious injury.
- Any serious incident involving the product should be reported to the manufacturer and to the competent authority of the Member State in which the user and patient are established.
- This product can be cleaned and disinfected with commercially available products as well as with a damp cloth. Keep the product always clean and wash it regularly.
- KMINA guarantees that this device is free from defects. The warranty shall remain valid for 3 years from the date of original purchase by the consumer. The warranty does not extend to parts exposed to natural wear and tear that require periodic replacement.
