1.  Protect the product from water and humidity.
2. This product, in combination with speakers, may be capable of producing sound levels that could cause permanent hearing loss. Do not operate for a long period of time at a high volume level or at a level that is uncomfortable. If you experience any hearing loss or ringing in the ears, seek for medical advice.
3.  The product should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, heat vents, or other devices that produce heat.
4. The product should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the product.
5. This appliance may be used by children who are above 8 years old and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised and guided by a person who is responsible for their safety in a cautious manner, and all the safety precautions are understood and followed. Children should not play with this device. Children should not perform cleaning and servicing of the device unsupervised.
6. Never use this device if the power supply cord is damaged.
7. Keep the device and its cord/cable away from heat, water, moisture, sharp edges and any other factor which may damage the appliance or its cord.
8.  Disconnect the device from the power supply if it is not going to be used for a long time.
9. ALWAYS disconnect this device from power supply mains before cleaning. Clean it with soft, slightly damp cloth only. Do not use any chemical agents to clean the product.
10. Do not attempt to service this product yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
11. Do not disassemble the device, as it may cause risk of electric shock. The product has no user-serviceable parts inside.
12. Before connecting the device to power supply socket, make sure the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the voltage in the power supply socket.

INTENDED USE

1. wireless transmission of audio signals from one source to Bluetooth compatible devices like Bluetooth headsets or Bluetooth speakers.
2. reception of Bluetooth audio signals from an audio source like smartphones or tablet PCs.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

1. TX Mode LED
   Shines blue, when the device is set into transmission mode.

2. RX Mode LED
   Shines blue, when the device is set into receiver mode.

3. Power Button
   Turn ON/OFF this device / connect a new bluetooth device.

4. Mode Button
   TX / RX mode selection.

5. aptX LED
   LED is on when connected to a bluetooth device, which supports the aptX standard.

6. Micro USB
   Power supply input / connection to PC, laptop etc.

11.  NFC sensor
    When connecting to a NFC device, hold your NFC compatible device close to the NFC label.
    Note: make sure, that the NFC function on your mobile device is activated

OPERATION

1. Connect this device to power mains with the USB cable.
2. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds.
3. The device switches on.
4. Audio signals can be transmitted or received, depending on the selected operation mode.

RECEPTION MODE (RX)

1. Connect the devices as shown above.
   Please note: plugging in the analogue 3,5 mm stereo jack cable to LINE output disables the OPTICAL output.

2. Press the MODE button repetitively, until the blue RX LED starts blinking.

3. Enable Bluetooth on your external device, search for available devices and pair with this transmitter/receiver (KM BT-1). Once the connection is established, the blue RX LED shines permanently.

TRANSMISSION MODE (TX)

1. Connect the devices as shown above.
   Please note: plugging in the analogue 3,5 mm stereo jack cable to AUX input disables the OPTICAL input.

2. Press the MODE button repetitively, until the green TX LED starts blinking.

3. This transmitter starts searching for available Bluetooth audio devices. Make sure the Bluetooth is activated on the device you want to connect. Once the connection is established, the blue TX LED shines permanently.

NFC PAIRING

If your mobile device supports NFC communication, you can establish Bluetooth connection automatically, without any searching process:

• Enable NFC on your mobile device and hold NFC label of the mobile device close to the NFC label on this device.
• The pairing and connection starts automatically. Holding the mobile once again to the NFC label, will disconnect the devices.

PC TRANSMISSION MODE

1. In order to send audio signals from a PC to a Bluetooth audio device, you can connect this receiver/transmitter directly to a PC with an USB cable.
2. Press the MODE button repetitively, until both LEDs (RX LED and TX LED) start blinking.
3. This device starts searching for available Bluetooth audio devices.
4. Make sure, that Bluetooth is activated on the device you want to connect.
5. Once the connection is established, both LEDs shine permanently.
6. Now, you can play audio files from your computer.

TROUBLESHOOTING

repetitively, until the correct LED lights up.

•  Bluetooth function on mobile device is not enabled. check accessibility.

•  Devices are beyond operational range.

Move them closer to each other.

Bluetooth connection established, but without sound| •  check the volume settings on the connected device

•  Make sure an audio file is running

•  check whether cables are connected properly and to correct inputs/outputs

Bad audio quality| •  Audio file with low bitrate. Please check the audio file.

Please note: the quality of an MP3 file

depends on the bitrate. The bitrate should be at least 192 Kbit/s.
