INTENDED USE

The BTC6000 machine cuts with high temperature heated wires that melt materials. It can be used for cutting, angle cutting, cylinder and tapper cutting of materials like foam, sponge, pearl cotton foam, EPP etc. The cutting fracture is  straight and smooth, with high cutting precision and no residue. It can be used to cut EPS, XPS foam insulation boards for building walls, roofs, indoor & outdoor insulation works as well as EPE, EPS material cutting and angle cutting in  package.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

  1. Carefully read all descriptions about flammability and toxic properties from the cutting material supplier before cutting any material.
  2. Use the machine only in well-ventilated areas. Use a ventilation system if necessary.
  3. Always switch off the machine, when not in use. After heating, the wire reaches high temperatures and can even break . Please clean the heated wire with the steel brush provided.
  4. Do not allow the hot wire to come into contact with skin, clothing and/or other materials that melt easily to avoid fire hazards and other damage.
  5. Do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to operate the machine.
  6. Keep the machine out of the reach of children .
  7. Touch the heated cutting wire only after it has cooled down.
  8. Always switch off the machine when charging wires.

INSTALLATION

Transformer power supply installation (A)

  1. Align the transformer power supply with the four holes on the work surface.
  2. Place the four M6X20mm screws on the gasket, cross the four holes in the battery pack and the four built-in nuts on the workbench then fix it in place.

Position stop installation (B)

  1. Connect the metal leg to the table surface and secure it with screws.
  2.  Fasten the scale small table on the workbench, and then mount the loosened position stop on the ruler.

Electric hot wire installation (C)

  1. Before set up, make sure that the power supply is switched off.
  2. Pull out tension spring with specific tools.
  3. Hook hot wire on tension spring.
  • Before installation, make sure that the area is safe to work in.
  • Do not install while the power is on.

OPERATION

  1. Switch on after connecting joint.
  2. Adjust the location of the guiding rulers according to the requirements. Take up the aluminum pole, put the material to be cut on the work bench, press the switch on the aluminum pole for some seconds, push it to cut the material.
  3. The device cuts with a high temperature heated wire that melts the material, there will be smoke during cutting, you are advised to use a fan.
  4. It is recommended to wear cotton gloves when cutting.
  5. To protect your tool, switch it off if there will be a long period of time without making cuts.
  6. Do not use the machine continuously for more than 60 minutes.

TYPES OF CUTTING SHAPES

Straight Cut (D)

  1. Adjust guiding rule to 90°.
  2.  Adjust guiding board to 90°.
  3. Cut vertically and downward.

Separation Staging Cut (E)

  1. Adjust guiding rule to 90°.
  2. Adjust guiding board to the angle needed.
  3. Slant cut downward.

Angle Cut (F)

  1. Adjust guiding rule to 90°.
  2. Adjust guiding board to 90°.
  3. Adjust stopping block to the depth needed.
  4. Cut vertically downward, then pull parallel.

Staging Cut (G)

  1. Adjust guiding rule to 90°.
  2. Adjust guiding board to 90°.
  3. Adjust stopping block to the depth needed.
  4.  Tilt down, cut vertically, then pull parallel to the desired slot width and lift the aluminum pole.

Slotting Cut (H)

  1. Adjust guiding rule to 90°.
  2. Adjust guiding board to the angle needed.
  3. Slant cut downward.

MAINTENANCE

After a long period of use, melting material will appear on the heated wire, which may lead to reduced cutting accuracy or even affect the conductivity of two hot wires. After heating the wire, clean the wire with a suitable brush. Please be  sure to turn off the power while cleaning, otherwise the tool may be damaged or electric shock may occur.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The heated wire does not work/cut.

  1. Make sure that the switch is on and that the voltage is normal.
  2. Make sure that the carbon heads are firmly inserted.
  3. Make sure that the switch on the frame is pressed.
  4. Make sure that the hot wire is taut. If not, there may be poor contact which will affect the heating.
  5. Make sure that the hot wire is supplied by the original manufacturer.

The heated wire cannot cut to the bottom.

  1. Check that the stop block is in the lowest position.
  2. Check that there is nothing on the rail.

Adjusting the angle of the bow.

  1. Locate the screws on both sides and loosen them (contra rotate).
  2. Adjust the bow to the desired angle
  3. Tighten the screws on both sides

The tension spring is deformed.
The heated wire has been working for a long time and the spring has been deformed after heating. It is recommended to replace it with a new one (normal wear and tear).

ENVIRONMENTAL DISPOSAL

In order to avoid damages on transportation, the tool has to be delivered in solid packaging. Packaging as well as the unit and accessories are made of recyclable materials and can be disposed accordingly. The tool’s plastics components  are marked according to their material, which makes it possible to remove environmental friendly and differentiated because of available collection facilities.

WARRANTY

Repair work or the replacement of individual parts will not extend the warranty period not will it result in a new warranty period being commenced for the appliance. No separate warranty period will  commence for spare parts that may be ted. We cannot offer a warranty for damage and defects on appliances or their parts caused by the use of excessive force, improper treatment and servicing. This also applies for failures to comply  with the operating manual and the installation or spare and accessory parts that are not included in our range of products. In the event of interference with of modifications to the appliance by unauthorized persons, the warranty will be  rendered void. Damages that are attributable to improper handling, over loading, or natural wear and tear are excluded from the guarantee. Damages caused by the manufacturer or by a material defect will be corrected at no charge by  repair or by providing spare parts. The prerequisite is that the equipment is handed over assembled, and complete with the proof of sale and guarantee. For a guarantee claim, only use the original packaging. That way, we can guarantee quick and smooth guarantee processing. Please send us the appliances post-paid or request a Freeway sticker. Unfortunately we will be unable te accept appliances that are not postpaid. The warranty does not caver parts that are subject  to natural wear and tear.
