Installation Instructions
Step 1: Drilling the Hole
- Using a 19mm or 3/4″ hole saw, drill a hole into the rail.
Step 2: Placing the Rubber Grommet
- Place the rubber grommet onto the rail, ensuring that the opening in the grommet aligns with the hole you drilled.
Step 3: Securing the Stainless Steel Clamp
- Place the stainless steel clamp around the rubber grommet.
- Using an Allen wrench, secure the clamp with the six black shoulder washers and bolts.
Step 4: Attaching the Outer Pod Box Shell
- Apply Loctite to the threads of the large hollow bolt.
- Secure the outer pod box shell to the clamp using the large hollow bolt.
- Use the two rubber grommets as indicated in the instructions.
Step 5: Mounting the Electronic Instrument
- Place the template for your electronic instrument onto the pod face plate.
- Trace the edge of the template onto the face plate.
- Remove the template and drill the hole(s) that will secure your electronic instrument.
- Using a jigsaw with a 10 TPI blade, cut along the traced line.
Pro Tip: Use masking tape to avoid unwanted marks from the jigsaw.
Step 6: Connecting the Cables
- Only for SP1S2: Plug the 90-degree connector to the back of the B&G Triton2.
- Connect the cable to the 90-degree connector.
- Route the cables through the front face plate and through the hollow stainless steel bolt.
- Mount the electronic instrument to the face plate and rubber gasket. Note that the rubber gasket should already be applied to the face plate.
- Ensure that the flaps of the rubber gasket are pulled over the outer edges of both pod housings.
Step 7: Final Assembly
- Secure the SP1-BOX2 assembly with the four tamper-resistant screws and washers.

Using a 1” hole saw drill a hole into the rail.

Place the rubber grommet onto the rail. Make sure that the opening in the rubber grommet is around the hole that you just drilled.

Place the stainless steel clamp around the rubber grommet.

Using an allen wrench secure the stainless steel clamp with the six black shoulder washers and bolts.

Apply Loctite to the threads of the large hollow bolt. Secure the outer pod box shell to the clamp using the large hollow bolt. Use the two rubber grommets as indicated here.

Place the template for your electronic instrument onto the pod face plate.

Trace the edge of the template.

Remove the template and drill the hole(s) that will secure your electronic instrument.

Use a jigsaw (10 TPI blade is recommended) and cut the line that you traced.
Pro Tip: Use masking tape around the area you plan to cut to avoid unwanted marks from the jigsaw. -
Only for SP1S2!Plug the 90-degree connector to the back of the B&G Triton2. Then connect the cable to the 90-degree connector.

Route the cables through the front face plate and through the hollow stainless steel bolt. Then mount the electronic instrument to the face plate and rubber gasket. Note that the rubber gasket should already be applied to the face plate.

Secure the SP1-BOX2 assembly with the four tamper-resistant screws and washers.
