Introduction

To get the most out of your new cooler/ warmer, please read through these instructions before use. Please also save the instructions in case you need to refer to them at a later date.

The appliance is double insulated and therefore does not require earthing.

Special safety instructions

  • The box is not designed for use in vehicles with 24 V batteries!
  • The box must be switched o for at least 30 minutes before changing function.
  • The box must not run for more than 10 hours at a time.
  • The box must always stand upright.
  • The box’s ventilation slots must not be covered.
  • The box must be placed in a location with good air circulation, away from heat sourcesand direct sunlight. It must not be placed in a car boot without air circulation.
  • Water must not be allowed to get into the box components or the casing. The box is only designed for storing packaged food and drinks.
  • Avoid subjecting the box to knocks or jolts.
  • Please be aware that the box may run down the battery if left running for a prolonged period.
  • The cooler/warmer is not intended for heating cold food, but for keeping already hot food warm or cold food and drinks cool.
  • This appliance is suitable for camping use.
  • It must not be exposed to rain or other precipitation.
  • Do not store explosive substances such as aerosols with flammable contents in the appliance.

This appliance is intended for use in private households and similar places, including:

  • Canteens and sta kitchens in connection with shops, o ces and other workplaces;
  • In dining rooms in hotels, motels and similar facilities;
  • In bed and breakfast dining rooms;
  • For catering and other non-retail purposes.

WARNING: Make sure that the cord does not get trapped underneath the appliance.
WARNING: Do not locate sockets and the like behind the appliance.

The appliance may be used by children over 8 years old and people with reduced sensitivity, or a physical or mental disability, as long as they are supervised or have been instructed in use of the appliance in a safe manner and thus understand the associated risks. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are supervised. Children between the ages of 3 and 8 may remove items from and place items in the appliance.

Follow the instructions below to avoid contamination of food:

  • If the appliance door is open for a prolonged period, the temperature in the appliance can rise signifi cantly.
  • Clean all surfaces that may come into contact with food regularly. Clean accessible drainage channels regularly.
  • The appliance is not intended for freezing fresh food.
  • If the appliance will not be used for a prolonged period, it must be switched off, defrosted, cleaned, dried and left with the door open to prevent mould from forming inside the appliance.

Use

12 V connection

  • Set switch(7) to the OFF position.
  • Plug the 12 V connector (2) into the vehicle’s or boat’s 12 V socket, and plug the 12 V connector (1) into the box’s 12 VDC input (9).
  • Set the switch (8) to the DC position.
  • Set the switch (7) to the desired position for cooling (COLD) or heating (HOT).
  • For heating, the red indicator light (5) comes on. For cooling, the green indicator light (6) comes on.

220-240 V connection

  • Set switch(7) to the OFF position.
  • Plug the 220-240 V connector (4) into a 220-240 V socket, and plug the 220-240 V connector (3) into the box’s 220-240 VAC input (10).
  • Set the switch (8) to the AC position.
  • Set the switch (7) to the desired position for cooling (COLD) or heating (HOT).
  • For heating, the red indicator light (5) comes on. For cooling, the green indicator light (6) comes on.

Operation And Maintenance

Operation

  • With the switch(7) in the middle positions (OFF), the box and the indicator lights (5, 6) are off.
  • Remove the connector (2, 4) from the cigarette lighter or power socket when the box is not in use.

Cleaning and maintenance

  • Wipe the box down using a well-wrung cloth.
  • The box components and the casing must not be filled with or submerged in water or washed under running water.
  • Do not clean the box using tools, utensils or cleaning products that may scratch its surface.
