DESCRIPTION

61501-TRGL outlet adds a guide light to any room without losing an outlet. A daylight sensor automatically controls the guide light and turn on when a room becomes dark. It is ideal for bathrooms, bedrooms, hallways and more.

WARNING

Turn the POWER OFF at the circuit breaker before installing the receptacle.

Read and understand these instructions before installing. This device is intended for installation in accordance with the National Electric Code and local regulations. It is recommended that a qualified electrician performs this installation. Make sure to turn off the circuit breaker or fuse(s) and make sure power is off before wiring the device.

Use copper wire only.

This guide light receptacle CANNOT be used if the outlet you are replacing has the top or bottom outlet controlled by separate switch.

WIRING DIRECTIONS: CLAMP-TYPE TERMINAL

  • Insert the BLACK (LINE) wire into HOT terminal (With brass screw)
  • Insert the WHITE (NEUTRAL) wire into the NEUTRAL terminal (Silver screw)
  • Insert the GREEN/BARE (COPPER) wire into the GR terminal (Green screw)

WIRING DIRECTIONS: PUSH-IN METHOD (BACKWIRE)

To wire device from push-in terminal (Backwire method):

  • Use #14 AWG wires ONLY
  • Terminals: reusable by pressing the “push to release” contacts
  • Strip wires to size indicated on gauge located on the back of the device
  • Insert the BLACK (LINE) wire into HOT terminal hole
  • Insert the WHITE (NEUTRAL) wire into the NEUTRAL terminal (Silver screw)
  • Insert the GREEN/BARE (COPPER) wire into the GROUND terminal (Green screw)
