About BR1002
BR1002 is a Bluetooth transmit and receive of two in one adapter. When it worked as a Bluetooth transmitter, this unit could make your regular stereo audio devices into Bluetooth-enabled. When it worked as a Bluetooth receiver, it adds Bluetooth receiving capability to your headphones, home stereo speakers, etc.

Technical information

Charging for BR1002
Please fully charge the battery before using the unit for the first time.

Low battery
When you hear the BR1002 making three beeps during use, it means that the battery is at low power and needs to be charged.

1. Plug the charging cable into a power adapter or computer USB port
2. Then plug the other end of the USB charging cable into BR1002
3. Solid White LED→Battery charging White LED off→Charging completed
4. It will take about 2 hours to finish charging

To avoid damaging the internal circuit, the transmitter would not function properly while charging.

Basic information

TX Mode
Selecting mode: please slide the TX/RX switch to the TX mode end before power on BR1002.

Note

• This step must be done before powering the unit.
• Do not switch the TX/RX mode after powering on BR1002.

Pairing with a Bluetooth stereo receiver device Before pairing with another Bluetooth device, please make sure that your Bluetooth stereo receiver supports an A2DP profile.

The pairing steps are as follows:

• Make sure the transmitter is in off mode and within 1-meter distance to your Bluetooth stereo receiver device.
• Power on your Bluetooth stereo receiver device and make it into pairing mode.
• Press and hold the multi-function button of the BR1002 for 9 seconds until the white LED flashes quickly, now the unit gets into pairing mode.
• The transmitter will search for a Bluetooth stereo receiver and connect with it automatically. White LED will flash twice every 4 seconds after a successful connection.
• Connect the transmitter to your music player through 3.5mm audio jack could also play your music.

Notes

• It can only connect to one device at a time.
• The pairing mode will last for 2 minutes. If there is no device to be connected within 2 minutes, the unit will enter into standby mode. White LED flashes once every 1 second.
• The PIN code is “0000”, “1234”, “1111”, and “8888” when the transmitter works as a Bluetooth stereo receiver.

Reconnecting to a Bluetooth device
Automatic connecting. Whenever the device is powered on, the transmitter will automatically connect to the last connected device.

Auto-off
The transmitter will automatically power off if there is no device to be connected within 5 minutes.

Clean pairing list
Make sure the transmitter in off mode. Press and hold the multi-function button for about 16 seconds, until the first white LED flashes for one second and the second white LED flashes (almost at the same time). Then release the button, the pairing list has been removed.

RX Mode
Selecting mode: please slide the TX/RX switch to the RX mode end before powering on BR1002.

Note

• This step must be done before powering the unit.
• Do not switch the TX/RX mode after powering on BR1002.

Pairing with Bluetooth devices
Please make sure your audio device is Bluetooth-enabled. Different types of audio may vary with different pairing steps. Please refer to your audio device user manual for further information.

The general pairing steps are as follows:

• Keep the receiver and Bluetooth cellphone within 1 meter when pairing.
• Press and hold the multi-function button for 9 seconds until the two white LED flashes alternately, indicating the receiver is in pairing mode.
• Active Bluetooth function of your cellphone and let it search for Inateck BR1002 and connect. A white LED of the receiver will flash twice every 4 seconds once, the connection is successfully built. PIN code is “0000” if needed.
• Connect the receiver to your headphone or home stereo playback device through a 3.5mm audio jack could also enjoy music.

Notes

• This product has no built-in microphone. It was designed as a Bluetooth music player helper, which cannot be used for hands-free calls.
• The pairing mode will last for 2 minutes. If there is no device to be connected within 2 minutes, it will switch to standby mode automatically, white LED f lashes once every 1 second.
• If the pairing fails, please power off the receiver and re-pair according to the steps mentioned above. After successful pairing, the receiver and the audio Bluetooth device will remember each other and it is no need to re-pair for the next time. The receiver can only remember up to 8 paired devices, if the paired devices exceed 8, the first one will be removed.
• Whenever the receiver is powered on, it will connect to the last connected device automatically. If you want to pair it with another device, please turn off the Bluetooth function of current device f irstly, and then try to pair the receiver with the new device according to the steps mentioned above.

1. Do not expose the product under liquid, or moisture circumstances to avoid the product’s internal circuit being damaged.

3. Don’t use chemicals or detergent to clean the product.
4. Don’t get the product close to the fire as it may cause an explosion.
5. Don’t contact with sharp objects as it may cause scratches and damage.
6. 6. Don’t let the product fall from the high place. The internal circuit might get damaged.

In case of the unit doesn’t function properly, do not dismantle the unit by yourself; please return it to the store where you bought it.
