Regulatory instructions
Read the user manual after reading this regulatory warning booklet.

Safety instructions

  • Please read the instructions carefully before using the unit and save them for future reference. Should the unit be given to someone else, please include this user manual too.

  • Only use the unit as described in this user manual. Any mishandling or use contrary to these instructions will relieve the manufacturer or retailer of any liability.

  • Warning! Failure to follow the safety and operating instructions may result in a risk of electric shock, fire, and/or injury to persons.

  • Warning! Never use a damaged unit! If the unit has been dropped or is damaged, unplug it from the main socket and contact an authorized service agent.

  • Never use accessories or parts from another manufacturer, as this will automatically null and void the guarantee and could also damage the unit and/or cause injury. Only use manufacturer-recommended accessories.

  • This unit must not be used by people (including children under the age of 8) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or people with no experience of using or knowledge of the unit unless they can be supervised or receive prior instruction regarding how to safely use the unit and understand the risks involved. Cleaning, maintenance or connecting the unit to the power supply must not be undertaken by children under the age of 8.

  • Make sure children do not play with any part of the unit.

  • Ensure that the unit and its accessories are kept out of the reach of children.

  • Do not let anyone stand, climb or hang on the unit, particularly small children. It could fall over and cause an injury.

  • Do not drop, knock or shake the unit.

  • This unit has been designed exclusively for domestic and indoor use in temperate climates. Exposure to low and then warmer temperatures can cause condensation that may damage the electronic circuits.

  • To avoid injury, some parts of the stand assembly require a minimum of 2 people.

  • Only use the stand provided to mount the keyboard. When mounting the keyboard make sure the stand is not tilting or the keyboard may fall.

  • Periodically, check all the nuts and bolts are tight. Loose screws, bolts or nuts could destabilize the stand.

  • Install the unit on a stable, flat, and dry surface. Do not place it on an uneven surface or multiple layers of carpet as it may fall over and cause an injury.

  • Do not install the unit or AC adapter cable:
    – near open flames, such as lit candles.
    – in a place that may come into direct sunlight.
    – near heat sources, such as stoves, radiators, or gas/electric heaters.
    – near or on other significant heat-generating equipment.
    – near electric cables, water pipes, or gas pipes.
    – in places subject to constant vibration.
    – in dusty or humid environments.
    – near a radio, TV, video, deck, or tuner as the unit can cause interference with audio and video signals.

  • Risk of fire or electric shock! Keep the unit dry at all times.

  • Do not use the unit near a water source, such as a bathtub, sink, bathroom, swimming pool, or damp environment. Install the unit at least 3 meters away from any water source. Do not immerse the unit in water or any other liquid. Never expose the unit to running water, dripping water or sprays of water.
    Do not place any water-filled objects – e.g. a vase – near or on top of the unit.

  • Serious damage may occur should any water spill on the unit. Unplug the unit from the mains and contact your retailer.

  • Do not use the unit when your hands are wet or you are standing on a wet floor. Never touch the AC adapter cable or plug if your hands are wet.

  • Before connecting the unit to the mains, check:
    – that the unit, power cable, and plug are not damaged. If the unit, AC adapter cable, or plug is damaged, do not use it.
    If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service, or a similarly qualified person in order to prevent any risks.
    – that the voltage of the power source and the rated voltage corresponds to the specifications indicated on the unit’s nameplate. Only use the power adapter supplied with this unit.

  • The unit, power cable, and mains socket must be easily accessible at all times.

  • Never allow the AC adapter cable to touch any hot surface. If the keyboard is placed on a table, position the AC adapter cable so it is not possible to become entangled with it.

  • Do not allow the power cable to touch any sharp edges or corners.

  • Make sure the power cable is not crushed or bent at any time, especially where it attaches to the unit and the plug.

  • Position the cable in such a way that it cannot pose a tripping hazard or be stepped on by accident. Do not cover the power cable or place it under a heavy object.

  • Do not use multi-sockets or extension leads and do not put other devices with a high power output on the same circuit, as this could lead to the unit overheating and becoming a fire hazard.

  • Use the main socket as a means of switching off the unit. Always switch off the mains socket before unplugging the unit.

  • Do not pull on the power cable to unplug it from the main socket.

  • Unplug the unit from the power source during lightning storms or whenever it will not be used for an extended period of time.

  • A few times a year, unplug the unit and with a dry cloth wipe the AC adapter cable and plug free of dust.

  • Warning! In the event of a malfunction due to electrostatic discharge, unplug the unit, then wait a few seconds before plugging it back in.

  • RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Do not try to disassemble or repair the unit yourself. Do not insert any foreign objects into the unit. The user must not repair any of the unit’s internal components. In the event of a malfunction, repairs should only be carried out by qualified personnel.

  • Warning! Only charge the unit with the AC adapter supplied.

  • If you are relocating this unit, unplug all cables, and place it in its original packaging as this will reduce the risk of damage during transportation.

  • Always turn off the power supply and unplug it when it is not in use, during cleaning, when moving or before connecting the unit to other devices.

  • Class II equipment :Icon  The unit has reinforced insulation and is not required to be electrically earthed.

  • Warning! High sound pressure! This unit is capable of generating high sound pressure levels which can be damage your hearing if listened to for a prolonged period of time. You should exercise caution when operating this keyboard and make sure that the volume is set to a comfortable listening level. Avoid listening to very loud music for extended periods of time.

  • Using earphones will impair your ability to hear other sounds. Use caution while using this keyboard with earphones.

  • This unit contains magnetic material. If you have a pacemaker or any other electrical medical device, you should consult your doctor before using this unit.

  • RISK OF SUFFOCATION! The unit includes bolts and other small parts. These components may present a risk of death if swallowed or inhaled.

  • For cleaning, maintenance, and storage instructions, please refer to the CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE section in the Usage booklet.

Battery-related safety instructions

  • The batteries must be disposed of in accordance with current local regulations.

  • The batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity in the battery compartment of the remote control.

  • Warning! Risk of explosion!
    – The batteries must not be charged, reactivated, disassembled, incinerated, buried or short-circuited.
    – The batteries must be properly replaced with an identical or equivalent battery model.
    – Do not expose the batteries to heat sources, such as sunlight or open flames. Do not place the unit on top of other heat-emitting appliances, such as radiators or fridges.
    – Do not throw batteries into a fire as they could burst or release toxic substances.

  • Warning! Do not ingest the batteries: risk of chemical burns.

  • Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children and pets.

  • Warning! Do not allow children to replace batteries without adult supervision.

  • Should the battery compartment not close properly, stop using the unit and keep it out of the reach of children.

  • If you ever suspect that batteries may have been swallowed or inserted into any part of the body, please seek immediate medical advice.

  • Should the batteries leak, use a cloth to remove them from the battery compartment. Dispose of the batteries in accordance with current local regulations. If acid leaks from the batteries, avoid contact with the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes.

  • Remove used batteries immediately from the unit and dispose of them in accordance with current regulations.

  • Remove the batteries whenever the unit will not be used for a long period of time.
