Safety instructions
- Please read the instructions carefully before using the unit and save them for future reference. Should the unit be given to someone else, please include this user manual too.
- Use ONLY power supply/supplies listed in the user manual.
- Only use the unit as described in this user manual. Any mishandling or use contrary to these instructions will relieve the manufacturer or retailer of any liability.
- Warning: Failure to follow the safety and operating instructions may result in a risk of electric shock, fire and/or injury to persons.
- Never use a damaged unit! If the unit has been exposed to water, dropped, damaged or starts to operate in a significantly different manner, unplug it from the power source and contact an authorised repair service.
- Never use accessories or parts from another manufacturer, as this will automatically null and void the guarantee and could also damage the unit and/or cause injury. Only use manufacturer recommended accessories.
- This unit must not be used by people (including children under the age of 8) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or people with no experience of using or knowledge of the unit, unless they can be supervised or receive prior instruction regarding how to safely use the unit and understand the risks involved. The unit must be cleaned, transported/moved, maintained and connected to the power source by a person aged 8 years or older.
- Make sure children do not play with any part of the unit.
- Ensure that the unit and its accessories are kept out of the reach of children.
- Do not drop, knock or shake the unit.
- This unit has been designed exclusively for domestic and indoor use in temperate climates. Do not use the unit in a tropical or very humid environment.
- Warning: The unit could fall and cause serious injury to people or pets. It is extremely important to ensure that the speaker is placed on a stable, flat and dry floor surface.
- Do not install the unit:
- on an unstable or uneven surface.
- on a raised surface, such as a tall cabinet or bookcase.
- near open flames, such as lit candles.
- in a place that may come into direct sunlight.
- near heat sources, such as stoves, radiators or gas/electric heaters.
- near or on other significant heat-generating equipment (e.g. AV equipment, stereos, computers, etc.).
- near electric cables, water pipes or gas pipes.
- in places subject to constant vibration.
- in dusty or humid environments.
- Keep the unit dry at all times.
- Risk of fire or electric shock! Do not use the unit near a water source, such as a bathtub, sink, bathroom, swimming pool or damp environment. Install the unit at least 1.5 metres away from any water source. Do not immerse the unit in water or any other liquid. Never expose the unit to running water, dripping water or sprays of water. Do not place any water-filled objects – e.g. a vase – near or on top of the unit.
- Serious damage may occur should any water spill on the unit. Unplug the charging cable from the power source and contact your retailer.
- Do not use the unit or touch the charging cable/plug when your hands are wet, or you are standing on a wet floor.
- To prevent overheating, do not obstruct the air vents with items such as newspapers, tablecloths and curtains. Do not place this unit in a built-in cupboard or any other confined area. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation at all times by leaving a gap of at least 5 cm all around the unit.
- Before connecting the unit to the power source, check:
- that the unit and charging cable are not damaged. If the unit/ charging cable is damaged, do not use it and take it unit to your retailer for repair.
- that the voltage of the power source and the rated voltage correspond to the specifications indicated on the unit’s nameplate.
- The unit and its power cable must be easily accessible at all times.
- Unplug the unit during thunderstorms or when it is not in use for long periods of time.
- Warning: In the event of a malfunction due to electrostatic discharge, unplug the unit, then wait a few seconds before plugging it back in.
- RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Do not try to disassemble or repair the unit yourself. Do not remove the unit’s housing or back cover. Do not insert any foreign objects into the unit. The user must not repair any of the unit’s internal components. In the event of a malfunction, repairs should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
- Turn off and unplug the unit from the mains socket before cleaning it. Use a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt. Do not use abrasive liquids or corrosive products, as these could damage your unit.
- This unit is a Class III device and is therefore, not required to have an earth connection.
- Only use the adapter supplied with this product.
- Before storing the unit, check that the battery is fully charged to help preserve its lifespan.
- Keep the unit in a temperate climate. High temperatures can damage the speaker’s performance and reduce the battery’s lifespan. Exposure to low temperatures and then warmer temperatures can cause condensation within the unit that could damage the electronic circuits.
- To ensure optimum battery performance, use the product in locations that have an ambient temperature.
- Do not recharge the battery for longer than specified. Overcharging the battery will shorten its lifespan and useful life.
- Warning: Listening to very loud music can damage your hearing. Avoid listening to very loud music for extended periods of time.
Battery-related safety instructions
- Disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery, that can result in an explosion.
- High or low extreme temperatures that a battery can be subjected to during use, storage or transportation:
- during use: -10-40°C
- storage: -10-40°C
- transportation: -10-40°C
- Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment that can result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
- A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure that may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
- This unit contains an internal lithium battery that could explode or release dangerous chemicals.
- If you ever suspect that batteries may have been swallowed or inserted into any part of the body, please seek immediate medical advice.
- Do not dispose of batteries with household waste.
- Warning: Risk of explosion!
- The batteries must be replaced with an identical or equivalent model and inserted the correct way around.
- CAUTION: Risk of fire or explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
- Never mix new and used batteries, or non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries.
- Do not expose the batteries to heat sources, such as sunlight or open flames. Do not place the unit on top of other heatemitting appliances, such as radiators or fridges.
- To reduce the risk of fire, burns, explosion or the release of harmful substances, batteries should never be charged or otherwise reactivated, disassembled, incinerated, burned, buried, crushed, punctured or short-circuited.
- Warning: Do not ingest the batteries: risk of chemical burns. Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children.
- Should the battery compartment not close properly, stop using the remote control and keep it out of the reach of children.
- Should the batteries leak, use a cloth to remove them from the battery compartment. If acid leaks from the batteries, avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Shouldyou accidentally come into contact with battery acid, rinse the affected zone and seek medical advice.
- Warning: Do not allow children to replace batteries without adult supervision.
- Immediately remove old or used batteries from the unit.
- Remove the batteries whenever the unit will not be used for a long period of time.
- Batteries must be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place.
- Dispose of the batteries in accordance with current local regulations.

Disposing of your old device
SEPARATE COLLECTIONS FOR ELECTRONIC AND ELECTRICAL DEVICES
This product must not be disposed of or recycled with other household waste when it reaches the end of its useful life.
The product and its packaging should be collected and recycled separately from other waste.
WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY WASTE?
Please dispose of your waste in accordance with the advice below to reduce the impact of your new purchase on the environment. You are legally responsible for separating the waste associated with this product (and any accessories) so that it can be recycled, including any instructions or/or packaging. Electric and electronic appliances should not be sorted or recycled together with other household waste.
Keep used products and packaging out of the reach of children, as they can pose a safety hazard. Please retain the instructions and any other notices throughout the service life of the device, and include these documents with the device if it is passed on to third party. For packaging and other notices, please refer to the recycling instructions on the main packaging, and to the advice available on the Internet. For the product itself, please refer to the instructions available on the Internet. If you do not have Internet access, please contact your local authority for advice on how to sort and recycle your waste.
For your children’s safety, please store your old devices in a safe place outside your home until they are collected.

The batteries must be changed in accordance with current disposal regulations. Please take the used batteries to a dedicated recycling centre, in order for them to be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

- To reduce the risk of fire or burns, never disassemble, burn, bury, crush, drill or short-circuit batteries.
- Do not throw the batteries out with household waste.
- To preserve the environment, dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations.
WARRANTY CONDITIONS
This product is guaranteed against faults caused by defects in manufacturing or the materials used for a period of two years, starting from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by failure to install the device correctly, incorrect use of the product, or excessive wear and tear. proof of purchase is required.
