OF MASONRY DRILL BIT

INTEND USE

A masonry drill bit is a cutting tool used for drilling holes in masonry, concrete, brick, and block. It has carbide-tipped crown bit heads for more stable, harder, durable and extra-long tool life.

HOW TO USE

To use a masonry bit, follow these simple steps:

  1. Before starting drilling, mark the hole center point with a marker.
  2. Select the masonry drill bit with the appropriate size for the hole diameter needed.
  3. Use a power drill driver that allows for adjustable speed settings, release the drill bit clamp mechanism and attach the needed masonry drill bit securely to the drill chuck, ensuring it is centered and tightened.
  4. Place the center point of the masonry bit on the marked working surface, now adjust the angle of the drill. It should be perpendicular to your workpiece.
  5. Now to start drilling, switch on the power button and let the drill bit do the rest (in start run at low speed). While drilling, hold the power drill carefully as long as the drill bit is on your workpiece, then you can increase the drilling speed after the center point of the masonry bit is driven into the workpiece.

SAFETY REGULATIONS

  1. Keep masonry drill bit out of reach of children.
  2. Always wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, ear-muff and a dust mask when using masonry drill bits.
  3. Make sure the bit is securely attached to the drill machine before beginning drilling.
  4. Do not touch the bit or the workpiece until the bit has come to a complete stop.
  5. Position the drill bit on the surface to be drilled, making sure it is perpendicular to the material.
  6. Apply steady pressure and start drilling at a low speed to prevent the bit from wandering.
  7. Increase the speed gradually as the bit digs into the material, maintaining a steady and even pressure. Once the desired depth is reached, slowly retract the bit while still running to clear any remaining debris.
  8. Use caution when drilling near electrical wires or other hidden hazards.
  9. Avoid using masonry drill bits for drilling through metal, as they are not designed for this purpose.
  10. Always unplug the drill machine before changing or adjusting the bit.
  11. Masonry drill bits are cutting tools and can cause injury if not used properly.
  12. Always read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidelines.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. After use, wipe the bit clean with a brush or soft cloth and lubricate it with a light oil.
  2. Store the bit in a dry, clean place, away from moisture and dust.
  3. Check the drill bit for signs of wear or damage regularly. Replace any bits that are worn, dull, or damaged.
  4. Always handle the drill bit with care and avoid dropping or throwing it.

The above information is provided to help you use and maintain masonry drill bits properly. Please read and follow the instructions carefully to ensure safe and effective use of the tool.
