Note
- The device ID for the First monitor (master monitor) must be set as 1. All other monitors (slave monitors) must be set from 2 to 6 one by one. This can be done in the Settings menu. System Setting:
- Device ID: from 1 to 6
- The doorbells, CCTV cameras, and Alarm must be connected to the Master monitor.

Unlock time setting
- Unlock time default is 2s.
- Long press any call button, and then press the unlocking time setting button on the doorbell.
NOTICE: Press one time to set the unlocking time as 1 second, and so on, the maximum setting is 10 seconds. If you release the call button, reset the unlock time from one second again.

RFID card management for Doorbell
RFID cards are configured with the doorbell system successfully before
shipment, you can open the door with the cards directly. If you need to add
more cards or do card management, please follow the below instructions.

Add master card through monitor
- Step 1: Indoor monitor on monitoring /calling /talking mode.
- Step 2: Click the unlock button on the monitor as below
- Step 3: Long press any call button of the doorbell for 3 seconds, BI BI BI beeps three times and the button light flashes slowly, and enters the master card management mode.
- Step 4: Swipe two non-added cards, each card swipe once: the doorbell automatically exits after successful addition, and then exits the master card management mode.
NOTICE:
- In the master card management, the first card added is the master adding card (BI BI beeps twice, the management is successful), and the second master card is the master deleting card (BI beeps once, the button light stops flashing, indicating the doorbell successfully exit the master card management mode).
- Both master cards have the door opening function, and the master card can be directly unlocked in any door-opening mode. The master card cannot be deleted, but the previous master card can be replaced by adding a master card.
Add cards with Master adding a card
- Step 1: Swipe the master adding card three times.
- Step 2: The card-swiping indicator of the doorbell flashes slowly, and the doorbell enters the card-adding mode.
- Step 3: Swipe a non-added card, and hear two beeps, it indicates the adding card progress is successful (if the card fails to add, it will have four beeps), and you can add cards continuously.
- Step 4: Swipe the master adding card once to exit adding card mode.
NOTICE:
- Swipe the Master adding card again and then automatically exit the add card mode if you don’t swipe it, it will automatically exit the add card mode after 30.
- If you add a card that has been added or a master card that has been deleted, the card addition fails, and you can continue to add cards or exit the card addition mode.
- Delete cards with master deleting card
Step 1: Swipe the master deleting card three times.
Step 2: The card-swiping indicator of the doorbell flashes slowly, and the doorbell enters the card deleting mode.
Step 3: Swipe an added card, and hear two beeps, it indicates the deleting card progress is successful (if the card fails to delete, it will have four beeps), and you can delete cards continuously.
G NOTICE:
- If swipe the master adding card at deleting card mode, all the added cards (except the master card) will be deleted. At this time, swipe the master deleting card again to exit the delete card mode after 7 beeps;
- if you swipe the card that has not been added, the card deletion fails.
Installation for the doorbell
Note for Wiring diagram
- The electric lock/alarm/camera is not included in the package, you can purchase an electric lock which is suitable for actual requirement.
- Factory default supports locks with Normally Open (N.O.) door unlocking method. It means that in the normal state the dry contact is opened so the lock is kept under constant closed state. If the unlocking push-button is pressed and the dry contact is changed to closed, then the lock is released.
- Built-in or external power supply is optional. Suitable for a wide voltage range (AC100V-240V). Unplug the AC power plug before installing the device (shown as below).
- For the use and selection of wires, please refer to the following. (Cable quality influence video and voice transfer distance)
- 4C ordinary unshielded wire and shielded wiring Distances 28m (40.2mm%); Distance≤ 50m (40.3mm?); Distance≤ 80m (4*0.5mm?);
- 3C ordinary unshielded + video cable (RG-59) connection method
- Cat 5 /6 network cable connection (not recommended)
If the network cable crystal plug uses a 568B wire sequence, the wiring method should be as follows:
- The TXP pin of RJ45 <-> Wiring yellow<-> 1. The white orange of the network cable
- The TXN pin of RJ45 <-> Wiring black<-> 2. The orange of the network cable
- The RXP pin of RJ45 <-> Wiring white<-> 3. The white-green of the network cable
- The RXN pin of RJ45 <-> Wiring red<-> 6. The green of the network cable
If the network cable crystal plug uses 568A wire sequence, the wiring method should be as follows:
- The TXP pin of RJ45 <-> Wiring yellow<-> 1. The white green of the network cable
- The TXN pin of RJ45 <-> Wiring black<-> 2. The green of the network cable
- The RXP pin of RJ45 <-> Wiring white<-> 3. The white orange of the network cable
- The RXN pin of RJ45 <-> Wiring red<-> 6. The orange of the network cable
Alarm instruction
Alarm sensor wiring diagram
- Suitable for connecting two normally closed (NC) or normally open (NO) alarm inputs. 2 alarm input channels without input limitation (can be normally open or normally closed).
- The ALM terminal of alarm sensor is connected to ALM terminal of indoor monitor (the alarm sensor is powered by the external power supply).
- Alarm sensor GND terminal is connected to camera GND.
- For NO alarm input, when GND and ALM are connected, the alarm will be triggered.
- For NC alarm input, when GND and ALM are off, the alarm will be triggered.
- Suitable for any alarm sensor.
Install the indoor monitor
Menu operation
Main menu
Main interface includes Transfer, Setting, Monitoring, Media, Event, At home(Not at home/Sleep), Lock, Standby.
Transfer
There are 6 icons in this interface, the first 5 are other extensions except
itself, users can select one to communicate with corresponding monitor. Press
the 6th icon can call all the monitors, users can answer the call with any one
extension.
Setting
System Setting
- Please format the SD card before using it.
- Restore factory settings: All parameters are restored to factory mode. Note that TuyaSmart’s device must be deleted together before it can be used again, otherwise, it cannot be added and used by other accounts.
- The Device ID is an important configuration of the equipment in the system. It must be configured correctly. Otherwise, it will not work properly. If the current device is connected to the Doorbell1, the Device ID must be set to 1, and the other Slave monitors must be set to 2/3/4/5/6, then work normally.
Door Setting
- The enable switch of the doorbell 1 is not adjustable and can only be turned on. If the Enable switch is set to on, the doorbell can be used normally. If set to off, the doorbell is disabled.
- There are two recording modes, Record and Snapshot.
- Set the signal mode and signal type to AUTO, the monitor will detect the signal automatically.
Ring Setting
Ringtone 1 default time period is 6:00 – 12:00, ringtone 2 default time period is 12:00 – 18:00, ringtone 3 default time is 18:00 -6:00, time period is adjustable. The time period must be no gaps, the total time is 24 hours.

Senior Setting
- Formatting SD card. If there is no SD card in the monitor, it will prompt “no SD card”.
- Factory setting, Click “OK”, the indoor monitor will reboot. The value will return to factory setting
Information
Media
The Media interface includes Movies, Music, Photos, and Files.
Movie
In the media interface, click the movie menu, and then the movie file list
will display on the monitor. When the movie is playing, users can drag the
progress bar to move forward or backward. The volume range from 1 to 10, the
default is 07.
Note:
- Save the video in the root of the SD card.
- If the visitors call the indoor monitor or trigger an alarm during the play, the play will stop and switch to the image of the outdoor doorbell or the camera.
- Movie playing is a list of loop plays; If there is only one movie, the same movie will be shown over and over again.
Music
In the media interface, click the music menu to see the list of music files,
and click the music file to play. On the playing interface, you can perform
operations such as “last track”, “pause” “next track”, “increase or decrease
the playing volume” and “return”
- When playing music, drag the progress bar to move forward or backward.
- Click the add or subtract button to adjust the volume. The volume range is 0-10, and the default is 07.
- To be found and displayed, you need to put the Mp3 music file into the “BgMusic” folder on this SD card.
- If the visitors call the indoor monitor or trigger an alarm during the play, the play will stop and switch to the screen of the doorbell or camera.
Photo
In the media interface, click the photo menu to see the list of photo files.
- The next photo is automatically played when the photo is played, unless it is paused.
- To be found and displayed, a photo file needs to be placed in the “Digital Frame” folder on SD card.
Files
In the media interface, click the Files menu to see the SD card folder. Enter
the SD card to see the automatically created folder. Folders automatically
created are “Digital Frame” folder, “BgMusic” folder, “Ring” folder, “Message
Import” folder, and “Doorbell” folder
- (This folder is hidden in the indoor monitor and can only be seen if the SD card is plugged into the computer).
- [“Digital Frame” folder] Save the picture of the digital photo frame.
- [“BgMusic” folder] Store background music files for indoor monitors.
- [“Ring” folder] Store user defined ringtone files for indoor monitors.
- [“Message Import” folder] The message customization function allows the user to set the user defined leave message alert tone.
- Store the recorded voice file in this folder.
- In the file manager, find and click the file, and then automatically import it to flash to replace the default message alert tone.
Note:
- The voice file request is in mp3 format, and the file size is up to 2M.
- [“Alarm” folder] Store the records after the indoor monitor triggers the alarm.
- [“CALL” folder] Store the call history of the indoor monitor and the doorbell.
- [MD” folder] Store the motion detection record of the doorbell.
- [“MSG” folder] Store the message record of the indoor monitor.
- All the records of the above four folders can be seen in the event menu.
Event
Call record
- Automatic snapshot or recorded video when any doorbell calls.
- Any doorbell call or under-calling manually captured the picture or recorded video.
Message record
- When the message switch is turned on, the video is automatically recorded from the beginning of the call when the call is not answered.
Motion detection record
- Automatically capture pictures or record when motion detection occurs on all doorbells and cameras.
- Manually capture pictures or video records in the motion detection process of all doorbells and cameras.
Alarm information record
- Automatically capture pictures or record when the camera alarms.
- Manually capture pictures or record video during camera alarms.
- Note: After selecting the record, the long press will display the open, delete, delete all, and close. In the record list, click the previous or next page to turn the page.
Connect network for the indoor monitor

- The device only supports 2.4Ghz network, 5Ghz network is not supported.
- You can configure network to the monitor with EZ mode, AP mode or Cable mode.
Configure network through WiFi
EZ mode connection
- Enter indoor monitor: Setting > Network setting, select EZ mode, press return button, the indoor monitor will reboot and start EZ mode.
APP connection
Note: The phone should be connected to 2.4Ghz WiFi first, then add the device to the app.
- Open TuyaSmart and Add Device
- Video Surveillance>Smart Doorbell
- Select WiFi mode, click Next
- Select EZ mode
- Select 2.4Ghz WiFi network and enter password
- Adding device
- Added successfully
AP mode connection
- Enter indoor monitor: Setting > Network setting, select AP mode, press return button, the indoor monitor will reboot and start AP mode. It will create a hotspot named “SmartLife-xxxxxx”. For example: If MAC is 18:c8:7:2d:4a:9e, the hotspot will be SmartLife-2d4a9e
APP connection
Note: The phone should be connected to 2.4Ghz WiFi first, then add the
device to the app.
- Open TuyaSmart and Add Device
- Video Surveillance> Smart Doorbell
- Select WiFi mode, click Next
- Select AP mode
- Select a 2.4Ghz WiFi network and enter the password
- Switch to smartphone’s setting to connect the device’s hotspot
- The name of the WIFI hotspot is the same as that on the monitor, the device’s password is 12345678
- Return to the app to add the device
- Added successfully
Configure the Network through a network cable
Cable mode connection
- Use a network cable to connect the indoor monitor to a router, and make the phone connect the same 2.4Ghz WiFi of this router.

- A. Admin the equipment information and modify the device name.
- B. Display the third part which supports the application.
- C. Basic setting: Flip the screen and open or close the time watermark.
- D. Storage setting:
- 1) show the memory of the SD card in the monitor
- 2) open or close the video switch, and choose the video mode.
- 3) Format SD card
- E. Switch offline remind
- F. Sharing device: support sharing devices with other phone users.
- G. Remove device: unbind the mobile with the device
Share device

There are two ways to share your device to other phone users: and press top right corner sting. Share device ud staring impreginarun and done.

Enter APP—All devices list—Me—Home Management—Create a home—Enter home name—Add member—App account—input name/region/account and save (Other users have the permission to open the door on the app with the share through the home management.)

- b. Admin can add or remove all members from App, enter “Me” interface–Home Management –remove member as you want
